But at Sunshine Car Wash on Missouri Ave, the team is always present, always helpful, and always consistent. Every visit, Kennedy greets me with a cold bottle of water. Robert is out front making sure my car gets a proper scrub-down before it enters the tunnel. And at the vacuums, I always run into Ronnie -- easily one of the happiest people I've ever seen at work. He helps dry my car, shines my tires, and even cleans my floor mats. His energy alone makes the experience better. I highly recommend Sunshine Car Wash on Missouri Ave. The service, the people, and the attention to detail truly set them apart.

However, I won't be coming back to this location as the wash itself did a horrible job getting my car clean. I do have a Ford Focus hatchback so I'm sadly used to most car washes not getting the back window quite as well as the rest of the car, however even easy to reach spots like my front windshield still had bug smears and pollen build up in places when I came out! I was mind boggled, and because the entrance basically dumps you right into Gulf to Bay while other cars from the wash come out behind you, there wasn't time for me to even pull to the side to try to see if they had rags for me to take care of it myself. That's the other awful part: the location of the exit is less than two car lengths away from Gulf to Bay, so if a car is in front of you waiting to get on the road, you have to hope there's space to side of them for you, otherwise you'll be blocking the exit. It just seems like the risk of getting rear-ended upon exiting is way too high at this spot.

As such, we were willing to pay a decent sum for the job. She dealt with Doug exclusively, got scheduled, and communicated her expectations. She made him aware of how detailed she is, like super mega detailed, and as such she notices things others tend not to. He provided what seemed an appropriate estimate range (especially as compared to others we got quoted from), and we proceeded with them for business. Our car wasn't filthy per se, but it did have some stains we wanted out, and the old car smell, and our cat peed in the seat smell out. Our expectations were for those stains to be gone, and the car to smell nice, the rest is a plus. I'll start with the negatives: the stains on the seat were still there, and some on the door fabric. The positives: Doug and company were extremely professional and communicative. The cars exterior was superb, and it was clear the interior received a lot of work, there were some minor details missed, but overall it was a great job done. For the price I did expect the stains to be gone though, thus the 4 stars instead of 5. If your car doesn't have old stains it can be a 5 star service maybe. The price compared to a different place I took my other vehicle to seemed steep but this particular industry seems to be all over the place, another place quoted us $1000 (Ha!). So overall, if price isn't an issue to you this place is very professional and they did a pretty good job, if your expectation is a "like new" car it might not be possible.

It's a quaint little car wash, with two sides for servicing, and the entire wash is the size of a Checkers restaurant. They have different levels of washes, and the most expensive is $10. You drive your car through the hall, sit and wait while it does its thing, and you pull out either on to the street or to the size, where there are some vacuums. There was a very friendly worker who helped me with the payment machine and discussed some details about the business. He also handed me a dashboard wet wipe, which is something you can use to clean the inside of your car while you wait. The vacuums are quarter operated. It's $1.50 for 5 minutes. I was looking around for a quarter changing machine, but I did not find one. Luckily I had enough for one session, and that's all I needed to do the floors of my car. The car was is brushless, which wasn't the best route to go with all of the pollen on my car. If your car is very dirty, I wouldn't recommend this wash. If you are here just for a maintenance wash, this is where you can go on the cheap. There is also a pressure washing station on the other side of the lot. I could have used that to wash my car, but I didn't have any more quarters on me. For the price, Earthwash is a nice place to clean your car. Don't expect it to cut through thick dirt, but it will give your vehicle a nice shine for a nice price.
