Sunshine Car Wash is different -- and it starts with the people. At other washes like Tommies and Big Dan's, I was a member for over a year and rarely saw employees out on the lotmost of the time I can see them in the office at tommies, Big Dan's only some one with a squirt gun where you pull in. But at Sunshine Car Wash on Missouri Ave, the team is always present, always helpful, and always consistent. Every visit, Kennedy greets me with a cold bottle of water. Robert is out front making sure my car gets a proper scrub-down before it enters the tunnel. And at the vacuums, I always run into Ronnie -- easily one of the happiest people I've ever seen at work. He helps dry my car, shines my tires, and even cleans my floor mats. His energy alone makes the experience better. I highly recommend Sunshine Car Wash on Missouri Ave. The service, the people, and the attention to detail truly set them apart. read more

From Iowa, mom of 4 kids and 2 dogs. I was headed to Mister to get the car washed before we headed back home, and I drove by Sunshine. I turned around to try it, but it looked personally owned, not corporate. wow. Very reasonable prices for the wash, but $15 for full service? YES! They work their butts off and seriously touch every surface of the car. Then they came over and asked if I wanted my WeatherTech floor mats pressure washed for $8?? Ummmm YES! So clean! So thorough! LOVE. IF I LIVED NEARBY, I WOULD ONLY GO TO SUNSHINE. read more

My 3 year old son can't wait to see Alabama in the mornings! We love this place! Everyone is so nice and the car was does an incredible job!

Loyal customer for over 25 years. Last time in the equipment knocked side view mirror off car. They filled out report and said someone would contact me. Could not get anyone to respond. Wouldn't answer text or emails. Finally heard back, they said there is no way their equipment could have done that.....no offer for any compensation. Asked to talk to owner, they wouldn't give out his information. Will NEVER go to Sunshine again. Go at your own risk. read more

I have used the Clearwater Fl. Missouri St. location since the present owners took over. Great wash machinery. NO BRUSHES. My vehicles come out of the wash bay spotless. The vacuum system is excellent plus everything else needed to dry the outside and do your interior. Sometimes there is someone to shine your tires...free of charge. The staff is great and the price is right. Plus, you get a multivehicle discount. What more can you ask for? I had a question about something today and spoke on the phone with "BEE". Very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant. Sunshine gets a gold star and BEE gets an added cookie. Sincerely, Dennis S read more

Went to the car wash with a perfectly intact mirror. Heard a loud crack in the middle of the wash. When I was done i immediately pulled to the side and saw my mirror hanging off. They told me they will be in contact with me within the next couple days. They never called so I reached out every day after. Two weeks later they called me back and told me they aren't responsible for any damage. This is not what I was told when I was there. I got quoted $800 in damage and my car wasn't even clean. read more

The staff is super friendly. I was hand drying my car in the self service area after I ran it through the car wash, and Harry came up to my car and helped me hand dry it and even shined my wheels as an extra service! Highly recommend this location! read more

The new set up is quite different, but works better as I can do the drying myself to do a better job and they have all you need or you can pay extra for them to do the interior and exterior and if necessary you can still touch up what they miss (typically it happens) read more

I personally love this carwash and their new set up. I especially love the ladies that I see to take my payment. I feel like they treat me like family. The guys who spray and vacuum work fast and clearly hustle hard. Hats off to them too because it can't be an easy job doing their work car after car. Today I got a postcard on my dash which is new too. I think the owners and staff are doing a great job! read more

Sunshine car Wash is extremely unprofessional. The manager named Stephanie called my wife who is pregnant a b**** and when I'm confronted them about it, they said my wife misunderstood! I Don't understand how they think it's acceptable for a manager who's supposed to uphold company policies thinks it's okay to call a pregnant woman the B word in front of other customers and the employees? And still to this day nobody, nobody from HR, nobody from ownership has ever came out and told me or my wife that what Stephanie did was wrong. There was no corrective action still till this day and this happened like 2 months ago. I am never going back! read more

BEWARE!!!!!! The renovation is beautiful, carwash & cleaning crew did an outstanding job & deserve a 5 STAR! UNFORTUNATELY 1 month after my visit to the carwash my credit card was hit with an unauthorized AUTO WITHDRAW FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT (possibly an error on their part?) but impossible to contact anyone to correct this! I sent 4 emails on their contact site and called 4 days in a row, NO ONE WOULD RETURN MY CALL! I will NEVER RETURN to Sunshine Car Wash. I did business with them for years unfortunately not servicing your clients is poor business.......the CONTACT SITE on your website is totally useless! "Born & raised FLORIDIAN" read more

They do a good job cleaning your car but you probably need to set aside some time. They are incredibly slow. Usually takes 20 mins or more and that's when they are not busy. They need someone on site to expedite the workers. read more

3.5 stars / Maybe 4 stars on a good day. I went in on a Wednesday morning right when they opened. Getting there when they open is key to not having to sit so long. From vacuum to detail I was there maybe 40 minutes tops. I got package #4 which does take a little bit longer than your standard car wash package that they have. I did notice that they are lacking staff, but what place isn't now a days especially after Covid. Prior to Covid they had a full staff and to those that are regulars this is probably why there is always a wait. Really you just have to be patient. It is a full service car wash, so in my opinion you can either pay to have someone do it or do it yourself if you do not want to wait. I have always found that they do a good job on my car. Never had a problem. They have always paid attention to detail. The only downfall is they do like to leave their water bottles in your car door for some reason (see picture). If you are the type that wants someone else to clean your car for you I would give them a try. From what I can see they are pretty much the only full service car wash still in town. They have been around for ever. read more

Damaged car, no accountability and terrible customer service: I went to this car was today for an interior cleaning that was quoted to take 30-40 minutes. Over an hour and a half later I asked the front desk if they could check on my Jeep Renegade since it was double the time estimate I was given. When I finally was able to go out to get my car everything looked OK at first glance although the woman that was cleaning the outside of my car looked a little nervous. I wasn't really sure what was going on but I got in the car and pulled away. As I was driving down the street I notice a crack over my speedometer and the plastic that covers it. I tried to rub at it with a cloth thinking maybe it was just some leftover cleaning fluid. I felt it with my finger and it almost felt like there was clear glue on top of a crack. (I have a 2020 Jeep Renegade that did not have any cracks in it before I brought it to the car wash.) As you can imagine I was very upset and drove back to the car wash to speak to a manager. There was a manager that came over to my car, got in demanded my keys then proceeded to accuse me of putting glue on the crack and saying that it was there before I got there. I was horrified because this woman wouldn't hear me out and there was obviously no arguing with her so I went inside and spoke to the person behind the desk. I left my information for the owner who supposedly was not there that day. I was shocked and horrified by the treatment of the manager there. I mean it's not like I have the time to go around to car washes with a new 2020 Jeep trying to scam them over a crack. I couldn't believe how rudely I was treated. I am leaving this review to warn anyone else who might be thinking of going there. Also, another detail - while I was waiting for my car I saw one of the managers come inside and tell a lady that she had a crack in her Volvo and he lead her outside to take a look. I didn't hear where the crack was but the owner needs to be accountable for the damages his workers are inflicting on paying customers. read more

Arrived at 8:00am and was FIRST in line for a car wash. The friendly lady gave me the run down on specials and different car washes. I decided to get a basic detailing car wash at $65, also gave my tip ahead of time of $15. I went on to watch Bones in the waiting room and chat with the other people getting their cars washed. I was surprised to find out no one was a member. They all just came randomly. They told me all about how the place used to look and be run. That this was all NEW. We all were optimistic, looking at the cars getting cleaned and shined. We waited expectantly for our car to be called. Finally my car was called, and it looked fantastic, gleaming at me. I climbed in without inspecting the car, thanked the man and drove off, he disappeared on to the next car. I was off to the grocery store for the start of my errands. Putting my groceries into the hatchback, discovered it hadn't been vacuumed. The back of the seats had a dry, brown substance on them also. The front passenger seat was dirty on both sides and the area around the gear shift was as well. Before you drove off with your shiny car, please inspect it. It may not be as clean as you think it is... read more

Yesterday I visited the car wash as usual to have my car professionally cleaned! Leather conditioned Waxed I spent 100.00 plus tip When I got home I opened the passages door and to found damage from the car wash Someone stood on my controls on the side of the passenger seat and broke the clips and now it's inoperable. Spoke with the Manager who was extremely defensive and said remembers all the cars and he would have to look through video footage I'm disappointed and disgusted with how they handled the entire complaint No remorse for the car owner NOTHING I take very good care of my car and maintenance Im very upset. I'm not sure if they changed owners or just philosophy. This used to be the best car wash around: excellent value, attention to detail and fun waiting room with great cards and auto related items for sale. No more. Prices have almost doubled. The windshield and steering wheel weren't completely cleaned and they took away all the humans and shopping in their waiting room. Also, no aroma cards. I liked fresh linen personally. It's one of the last places where they provide the service rather than you vacuuming yourself etc. It got the job done but this is no longer a well priced great experience. 22 dollars not including tip. The upside is there is no longer a long line to wait in. I was one of three cars on a weekday late afternoon! read more

I've been coming here for years. Excellent service, kind staff, thorough cleaning. Sometimes they are extra busy, that will require patience. Not everything happens instantly. Honestly not too impressed. I went here because they always look so busy so I thought it would be a great service but unfortunately I don't think the $55 I paid was worth it. My cup holder and all around it was extremely dirty when I left so I had to turn around and go back. They were super nice and finished cleaning it but when I got into my car this morning I noticed that it is still dirty and also paid extra for them to clean the mats and there's still a dirty mat left in my trunk... read more
