We requested snow removal on Monday, said if we signed a contract he would fit us in the next day (Tuesday). We have a 130 foot long driveway. Well, this never happened, and he kept stringing us along all week! If we knew his company wasn't going to come, we could have called someone else! By Friday I spoke to someone else out of desperation, and they came that evening. I had informed Edwin on Monday that we really needed to get out because my husband has Parkinson's and we had appointments. Well, we were stuck in the house all week! Emailed them to clear driveway snow. Responded via email quickly, saying I was scheduled for the next day. Never saw them, and they never contacted me. Called them on the third day and they said they were busy. I ultimately hired someone else. My biggest issue is the lack of communication. Won't go with them in the future for anything. read more

I regret that it is taking me this long to post this review, but let me tell you, Edwin is amazing! Back in October we were moving from a house in Haymarket to a house in Marshall. We had a tree that was written into the sale contract to be moved with us. This was not just any tree, this was a sapling that my son brought home when he was in elementary school, that I did not think would grow, so I just stick in in an odd corner of our front garden. It blossomed into a beautiful, blue spruce! The contract stated that we would remove the tree and then it would be replaced with a shrub. We made several phone calls to different places and only received two other calls back stating that they did not transplant trees, and Edwin called me the very same day saying that he could do it that day. He stayed in constant contact to let me know his estimated arrival and then sent me pictures from the Haymarket property after he removed the tree and planted the shrub. He arrived at our house in Marshall with one of his employees, and some really fancy equipment and dug a hole and planted my baby's tree! My son is now 22 and that tree was going to come with us no matter what. Edwin was beyond professional and just an extremely genuinely nice person. I highly recommend him and his team and I thank him sincerely for moving this beautiful tree so it can live out its days with us in Marshall! read more

I used Edwin's services two times and I am an extremely satisfied customer through both of my experiences. His schedule was busy the second time, so it took a bit longer to get the quote and get the work done, but he informed me about that prior to starting the process... it was the spring and that's a busy time for them. Anyway, I was in no rush and am happy with the outcome and cost. I couldn't recommend them enough. On the first job, he asked me if I wanted any wood for my fireplace. This is not the first time we have used Edwin's Tree & Garden Services and he and his crew have always gone above and beyond. This time he and his crew took down a large oak tree in our backyard and were unable to get a crane to help. They had to lower several large branches into our neighbors yard but before they started asked permission and as soon as they were done in their yard, it was immediately cleaned it up. Edwin is a great communicator in terms of his schedule and kept us informed throughout the day. When getting estimates to have some very old and large oak trees trimmed Edwin was the only one that at a distance he picked up that one of the trees had a pest problem. He was also the cheapest and he and his crew did an excellent job, and the yard was so clean that it was better after than before. Edwin and his crew do a great job and leave the ara better after than before. I couldn't rate him and his crew any higher if there was a way to do so. You won't be disappointed if you call him. We had 12 trees cut down, a lot of tree stumps grinded down, the trees were put in a chipper to make mulch and then the mulch was spread out where the trees were cut and further out as we requested. He also trimmed a few trees we asked him to do as an afterthought. Then they cleaned up. It all took about 1 1/2 hours and he only charged $1,243. I gave him $1300 and tipped all 7 men and it looks great!!! He does not have staff to answer all his calls, so he keeps very busy, but he was the first one out of three estimates to answer and give me an estimate.
