Jaden from Pool Technicians came out today to look at two issues I was having with my pool: 1)…read more the lack of any pressure from the jets in the adjacent hot tub and 2) a salt cell chlorinator that was not working. I thought both were going to be major issues. I thought I needed an additional pump for the hot tub. And I thought the salt cell chlorinator would need at least a new motherboard, if not a complete replacement. Jaden did about 10 minutes of poking around and told me that 1) the pump issue was simply being caused by a rock that was jammed into one of the pumps, likely from the construction stage and 2) the salt cell was not receiving power because a previous (another company) technicians rewired it to a non-functional part of my panel. So, after an hour, I had fully functioning jets in the hot tub. A functional salt cell. And he even got my pool lights working. (I had never been able to use them and had given it up). So can't recommend this company and Jaden specifically any more highly.

We wanted the old concrete deck removed, tile replaced, new pool coping, a Baja Shelf added, and a new path along the side and front of the house. On top of that, we picked the slower, but much hotter, months of July & August for the project. All of the pool work would have to be done in conjunction with a new exterior paint job for the house and the installation of low-water usage landscaping. Our landscape project was designed and overseen by the very capable Roosevelt Alvidrez of Elements Landscape. Manuel promised he that he could work seamlessly with Roosevelt and any the other contractors on site. This proved to be the case. Since I was out of town over the summer, my wife had to w with Manuel for feedback and to offer suggestions while the work progressed. The team was always timely. We never felt like they abandoned us for days at a time to work on another job. We also had added few "change orders." Manuel rolled with everything. We warned out next door neighbors about the project and they also had no complaints. Thank goodness! Singing a contract with Manuel was easy and payments were handled accurately and with no drama. Manuel deserves his 5+ stars for delivering us such a wonderful backyard pool oasis. There is no reason why he cannot do the same for you! To finish the job, Gary and Son's was recommended to me by a friend. Of the four bids I got, Gary was the only one that walked the project and gave me some great ideas. As Dara proves, he was in line with the others. Within a month we were adding water to the pool, which had been sitting for nearly a year. The job looks fantastic and his ideas paid off. He's very proud of the company and I'm glad we went with him. The only cons, which are not enough to remove a star from my rating, were these. Once the pool had water and was working, he was done. Other companies give the first 30 days of support with it. I was caught off guard and had to quickly find someone. The only other con was that our communication could have been better. No details needed, he's a nice guy and a trustworthy guy too. He shared the store that he buys tile from, so I could go shop and save some money at the same time. He came to check the work often. When he looked at the old builders work, he went so far as to remove the tile they put in, since it was a bad job. And, the auto fill that was installed too low, he was able to fix it. I definitely think having Gary and Son's was the right call and I can easily recommend them.

Co-owner Thomas Montigny…read moreresponded quickly to a quote request on Yelp and clearly explained the various options for upgrading the coping around our pool and spa, as well as repairing and restaining a front step that had previous overlay work by done by another contractor. He listened to our many questions with patience and always responded with clear answers. The quote received was very reasonable, and the work began promptly and was finished in the timeline promised. Thomas came by daily to review the work, as well as touch base with us in person to keep us informed of the process and what the next day's work would be. They had a good size crew to ensure the work was finished on time . When the first coping color we selected didn't turn out as we expected, they redid the coping in a different two-tone color and texture that we preferred, and at no additional charge. Thomas even sent out his color expert to help with this final color application. Both the steps and pool coping turned out beautifully. Thomas and his team were a pleasure to work with and we would readily consider Splash Pool & Design again for future pool and spa work. At the end of the day, it was clear that our satisfaction with their work really mattered.
