We went with a dramatic marble (not everyone's choice) and love it. My only recommendation is .....don't hurry your choice of a quality countertop because you want to enjoy it for years and years. I will say too that the installation was nearly perfect. What wasn't perfect is that are new counters that the stone sat on had high end self closing glides and the stone installers would have helped me by putting plastic over the glides before the install because some debris got in the glides during counter install and they had to be cleaned out to work properly (a small thing but a thing). Thank you Valley Stone.

And, on top of all that his services were a great value. This is not my first rodeo because I've worked with dozens of contractors and professionals, but none is good as Todd!. I have attached before and after photos of the project... not sure if they will show up an order, but it'll be easy to tell which ones were the before and which ones were. You'll also see a snowboard and ski holder that Todd put in and was able to figure out a way to engineer it so it didn't take

In fall of 2022 I hired Sun-up Sealcoats to sealcoat two East Vail duplex driveways. By spring,…read morethe sealcoats completely failed so I contacted Ben. He agreed to warrantee his work but never came out personally to inspect the failed sealcoat. Numerous emails and phone calls later, several months later a crew of 2 showed up a filled 4 or 5 cracks over a 10 minute period with a promise to return and complete the warranted job. When they failed to return, I was able to speak live with Ben once after 4-5 additional calls when he again promised to complete the job. Again, no shows. The other side of the duplex had to have his driveway reseal coated in preparation for sale. I held out hope Ben would live up to his commitments which never happened. Today, I had a real seal coat company re-seal coat and the driveway looks great. Stay away from Sun up Seal Coat.

Horrible Customer Service!!!…read more I have never left a review of a business before but felt it was necessary due to the horrible way we have been treated by Ethos Landscaping Co in Vail and particularly one of the owners, Dave Probst. They were more than happy the last 3 years to bill us over $50,000 for trees, bushes, boulders, etc.. But how about service after the sale??? One of the 3 evergreens they planted has never done very well and because I had a warranty on it, Dave assured me he would replace it the next growing season and then he said that he was going to watch it and now I've called and texted him repeatedly and he's ignoring me! I've called the office numerous times and talked to the receptionist Colleen (who was very nice) and she keeps telling me that she's giving him my messages and has no clue why he won't call me back. This has been going on over 3 months and I am fed up with his total lack of taking care of customers like me! I paid promptly and have bent over backwards to be nice and now I'm thoroughly disappointed in the company! Maybe if you're a huge Vail customer they will take care of you but I would never ever recommend them to anyone!!!!!!!

I appreciated Todd's knowledge during the site visit and his willingness to answer technical…read morequestions. However, the communication and proposal turnaround were frustrating enough that I ultimately hired another company. This project involved a damaged elm limb that I was treating as a safety concern. It took multiple phone calls, emails, and follow-ups over several weeks before I received a proposal. Even after the site visit, I had to continue following up before the estimate was sent. In the end, another company matched the pricing, answered my questions promptly, and was able to provide a firm service date sooner, so I moved forward with them. My recommendation to Old Growth would simply be to improve proposal turnaround times and proactive communication. Customers trying to address potential safety issues need timely updates so they can make informed decisions.

During the pandemic we bought a 30 year old fixer up home in the mountains of CO. The windows and doors were leaky and had not been properly maintained; they were warped, did not shut or lock properly and the screens were either torn or missing. Eric Prouty and his talented crew from AWAD looked at our big project. They cautioned us that they could start our restoration but that due to pandemic supply chain and manpower issues, they could not guarantee a speedy endpoint. It has been a little over a year and 95% of our project has been completed. Our windows, doors and screens look and function beautifully. Once everything is painted they will look brand new. Many of our other contractors have remarked on the fine workmanship they have noticed being done by AWAD. Before we found AWAD we had started pricing new windows. Eric and his team have saved us thousands and thousands of dollars! This company is the best kept secret. They are extremely busy but were good communicators in keeping us up to date on back orders and delays. We are grateful our realtor knew the caliber of their work and referred us. Eric and his team are true professionals. They are worth waiting for. LAS
