If you are looking for a company to make custom roman shades, do not use this company. They took…read morebeautiful silk fabric and created crude, ugly, roman shades. The hems are machine stitched and puckered, not blind stitched. They have no fabric covered slats to give the fabric shape, so there are lank pieces of silk just hanging there, and the blackout material feels creepy and is not effective. They first delivered the shades without the cornices, needed them back to match the pattern. They were ultimately installed, but rejected by my contractor. They have my $800.00 dollar deposit which they do not plan to return, they ruined my silk fabric, and had the nerve to bill me for the remainder of the bill. Other fabricators have said I need to scrap the whole thing because the work is so crude, the silk cannot be saved. SK Shadings did offer to remake the shades if I did NOT USE SILK. BE WARNED, THIS COMPANY DOES POOR WORK.

When the installer from Budget Blinds of the High Country came to install our blinds on 7/12/21 the color of the shades did not match the colors originally discussed with the business owner during our consultation on 5/6/21. The installer said that he forgot three of the shades at the warehouse and would have to schedule another installation date for the missing shades. After multiple attempts to call, text and email the owner to discuss our concerns and issues, we finally received a response a week later via email but have been unable to have an actual conversation on the phone. During our original consultation with the business owner on 5/6/21 we discussed the importance of safety and the plan to mount the cords along the four windows in the living room so that the strings were not a hazard. When the installer arrived on 7/12/21 he thought there were only three shades in the living room (we ordered four) and said that he couldn't mount the cords. To our shock, he said we will just need to keep an eye out for kids and pets around the strings. Even though every project is "custom" and the three missing shades (one living room, one kitchen, one bedroom) were simply left behind at the warehouse, we have recently been told by the business owner that he is waiting on parts for the cords and doesn't have a magic wand to tell us when this project will ever be completed. We paid for the project in full on 5/6/21 to take advantage of a promotion that was only available with pre-payment at the time of the consultation. Shame on us for trusting this business to complete the project after being paid in full. For multiple weeks we have emailed the owner asking if he has any intention of completing this project (in which he has received our full payment) and have still not received a response.
