Nikki Coil knowingly rented me an apartment with mold in the walls that grew onto the inner walls…read moreduring the rain. She admitted to "moisture coming through the wall being an issue." That means the place is not rentable if that is an issue. The stone wall on the side is full of mold, look from the oustide and you can see many areas where they patched it- but did no remediation, which means there is moisture and mold in those walls. I also found out that water would flood in the back of the building, which probably damaged the wall and lets moisture seep in even more. Tack boards in my bedroom all had blakc mold growing on them when I looked. It made me incredibly ill. 549 1/2 west Broadway apartment 1 is moldy and a toxic trap do not rent. They are slumlords. I rented out of desperation, but it was only cheap because its not habitable, not because they are nice. Even if you have never been sick from mold before your body can always develope a sensitivity with over exposure and trust me you do not want to deal with that. I had to get rid of so many of my things due to contamination. No reimbursement from these people.

Need to rent a cheap spot in Eugene without the BS of some corrupt property management corporation?…read moreLook no further than Square One! The owner, Nicki, was by far the coolest, most ridiculously nice and honest 'landlord' i've ever had! Everything from any questions or repairs, to fairness with my deposit, Nicki held it down! She's like that ONE auto mechanic that you can trust with your car; you can trust Nicki with ya apartment! Unfortunately, when i vacated the premises, i couldnt bring Nicki with me! Now im stuck with a real scumbag of a management company, that, every day, makes me realize just how great Square One was! This business has achieved Seven's Seven Star Stamp of Approval!

JLT and the owner of the house that we live in are so cheap. The carpet in this place is 30 years…read moreold and it will not be replaced. It says on our lease that we have a fireplace and a garbage disposal however they did not fix the fireplace. It's been out of order for many years and the landlord or the owner will not fix it because it's too expensive when there are issues or problems that need to be addressed They do not care. We had a problem with black mold growing in the sink underneath the cabinet in the kitchen and it had traveled under linoleum and when they finally got around to come in out and looking at it and then replacing the floors, they were upset about it, but it was because they had a dishwasher that had been leaking for many many years And did not want to fix it so why do we have to suffer with the smell of black mold, it was hard to get somebody to come out and take care of something that needed to be taken care of as far as replacing lightbulbs we do that as far as fixing little things we do it we don't bother them, but when it's something big like mold Then that's when we have to call JLT. We also have Gas heating and when I asked how long to eat wait before somebody comes out to clean out the vents and their answer is we don't do that. You don't have to do that. That is not true. They don't want to pay for it so just saying do not go through JLT rentals or investment properties.

Sad ending to a great start…read more I rented a home through this company for 1 year. While I had no issues during the majority of my stay, I was disappointed by the unprofessionalism that I encountered when my lease was over and I got my security deposit back in the mail. Or at least, what was left of it. JLT was borderline PREDATORY in docking my security deposit. Our lease (like most do) required JLT/the landlord to cover regular upkeep, wear and tear, and maintenance of the house. However, JLT instead docked all maintenance or upkeep charges out of the security deposit. For example, they charged me to replace lightbulbs (which I had replaced ALL of when I first moved in, without making peep to JLT), to polish off the kitchen after a year of cooking at home, clean the oven, and to do a "rent ready" cleaning of the whole house (news flash: you have to clean and upkeep a house in between renters, welcome to this planet). Before we left, we spackled, swept, wiped down the bathrooms and did anything else a reasonable person would do when leaving a house that was not their own. Nothing was left broken or unfixable, and all that remained was to prepare the house for the next renters (again, standard practice). To add insult to injury I would like to note that when we arrived in the house a year ago, we immediately found mold in the master bathroom, reported it to JLT, never got a response and ended up having to deal with it ourselves. So what, are they gonna charge the previous tenant for mold that is growing in the humid conditions of the pacific northwest!? yeah, definitely not, cause that would be ridiculous! Apparently, JLT is under the impression that a 3 bedroom, two story house does not need any maintenance and should be delivered in rent ready condition at the end of a lease (which is ironic considering the mold in the house upon move in). This is abhorrent behavior that is almost certainly a violation of our lease agreement. We are not slobs, we left the house in good condition- JLT is just THAT type of management company. When I tried to address my concerns with JLT and engage in an adult conversation, I was brushed off and ignored. To date, JLT has not responded to my latest correspondence and I have doubt they will anytime soon. If we were fighting over more money, I would follow up further, almost certainly with an attorney. That's actually likely why they get away with this behavior- it's never worth anyone's time to fight them. Hate to say it after having 98% good experiences with them, but this behavior is unacceptable and I would IMPLORE you not to rent through JLT. They are sloppy, mismanaged, and predatory. Save yourself the headache and go a different direction.
