Dr. Erotas retired in August 2023. He was my dentist for over 20 years. During that time, he provided excellent care.

I was referred to this office for wisdom tooth removal and had a deeply disappointing experience…read more During my consultation, I provided my insurance information and specifically asked the staff to obtain a pre-authorization from my insurer outlining all costs before I agreed to schedule. I was told my out-of-pocket cost would be $250, so I proceeded based on that assurance. After the surgery was completed, I unexpectedly received an additional bill for about $300. When I called to ask why, the employee I spoke with was abrupt and unprofessional. Instead of helping clarify the charge, she pointed to fine print in a signed form and immediately threatened to send me to collections within 10 days if I didn did not pay. I ultimately paid the collections bill to protect my credit, but the situation could have been avoided with honest communication. When I called again, the office manager admitted they never actually pursued the pre-authorization I had requested. I was then told their standard practice is to estimate or "guesstimate" costs based on prior experience with insurers rather than confirm coverage in advance. That approach is not transparent and directly contradicts what I was told before scheduling. Although the manager apologized and accepted responsibility, the office refused to refund my payment after checking with corporate. I also developed a post-surgical complication. Because of this office's limited hours, I had to return to my original dentist for care. My dentist found broken tooth fragments pushing through my gums that had been missed during surgery, requiring additional treatment. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to seek resolution. Even after the office manager had taken blame, the practice actively battled the BBB report. Only after the case was closed did they finally acknowledge their error. That resistance to accountability was extremely frustrating. I chose this office solely because I was given clear cost information that turned out to be only an estimate rather than the verified authorization I requested. Accurate communication about billing is essential in healthcare, and that responsibility rests with the provider. Based on misleading pricing, inadequate follow-up care, and poor accountability, I cannot recommend this practice.

Nobody WANTS to go to the dentist. Especially an oral surgeon. But that's where I found myself this…read moreafternoon. I was not so much greeted at the window, than barked at, "name". No smile. No pleasantries, no evidence of kindness or caring. After filling out all of the duplicate paperwork, I was told I needed an xray. I had just had X-rays taken at my regular dentist within the last 2 months. I have extreme difficulty with X-rays, on a normal basis. But with the way the machine was setup, it was too high. I could not tolerate it! I felt I was choking. I told the tech (?) she told me that I wasn't choking. I HAD to do this xray. I told her I could not physically do it, couldn't they get my xray from the referring dentist. She looked to the front office where someone was shaking their head and saying "no." The"tech" said we would have to reschedule. I had been here 2 hours already filling out paperwork without seeing the surgeon at all. Not coming back ever! I don't have to. I will definitely find another oral surgeon, that hopefully cares or at least can pretend with the patients. The whole situation was uncomfortable, cruel, unappealing and uncomfortable. And I didn't even get to meet the surgeon...

Very "memorable" experience…read more I booked my appointment months in advance and confirmed when prompted. Somehow, the appointment was changed to another date after my confirmation -- with no call, no explanation, and no notice. Impressive system. I drove nearly two hours in snowy weather and arrived on time, only to be told my appointment no longer existed that day. When I calmly showed proof and tried to explain, the staff's response was eye-rolling, visible impatience, and zero effort to help resolve an error that was not mine. I was left feeling dismissed, unwelcome, and frankly uncomfortable. I can't say why I was treated that way, but it's hard not to wonder whether appearance or background played a role when basic courtesy and professionalism disappear so quickly. When I asked for their names to document the incident, they refused and told me to leave. If accountability, communication, and respectful treatment matter to you, I'd suggest confirming things multiple times -- and maybe still prepare for surprises.

They were able to get me in within two weeks for a routine cleaning and x-rays. The cleaning was good. I mentioned that I tend to gag with dental stuff, so they took extra care when placing the films for my x-rays and the tech kept checking on me and going super slow to ensure my comfort. I had a filling that had mostly fallen out. I was able to reschedule a follow up for two days later (they had them sooner, but it didn't work for my schedule). I asked if I would have to be numbed because I hate the dental shots. She said she was pretty confident she could pop out the old filling and replace it with no to minimal pain and she was right. My tooth hurt the tiniest bit, but I'm pretty sure it was just sensitivity when the cold water blasted it. I was in and out in about 20 minutes with my new filling and no numb, drooly mouth. They also accept children. My friend's entire family goes and say the dentists are really good with their kids as well. I don't doubt it. Each room is themed. My cleaning was in the Star Wars room and my filling was in the baseball room. There is plenty for kids (or kids at heart) to look at and be distracted by during dental procedures.

I hated the idea of removing two teeth just to put posts and crowns in a teenager's mouth. So I let it go (hoping for a better idea?). But it was now past time for braces,so I bit the bullet--no pun intended. We made an appointment and got in within a couple of weeks. Their office has a good COVID protocol that allows very few people in at one time. We were ushered back to the exam room and went through a new patient questionnaire as well as an interview of sorts, and then the doctor came in to explain the procedure and answer any questions. The teeth had already started to fuse to his jaw bone a bit, making extraction more difficult and time consuming. My son was awake for the procedure and did very well, this for a kiddo with a relatively low pain threshold. I was called back into the room afterwards and again the doctor explained all that happened. We were given post-op instructions and checked out. The staff were all extremely courteous and helpful. Recovery went remarkably well. In fact, I was surprised just how quick it was. My son went from soft food back to his regular diet in just a couple days and didn't complain once of pain. I hope we don't need their services again. But if we ever do need oral surgery in the future, I would definitely go back.
