I payed over a thousand dollars lump sum and the best they had for me was to go to Indianapolis at 9:30 am tmrw. on top of all of this during the nine months they hadn't seen me they refused to answer my calls. they didn't see me from July to April when they told me they got a new ortho in October I called every day for weeks and they didn't answer I left so many voicemails that their mail box was full. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! I would not recommend going there at all I would have payed double the amount had I known I would have this many issues with them. I wanted my braces taken off if they are going to continue this and now they want to charge me 250 bucks on top of having to restart my treatment somewhere else. Terre haute lafayette and Indianapolis are horrible. Pippen dental as a company should not be in service. Ive never made a yelp review but this issue has been going on for 2 years I was supposed to have my braces off in October this year but now I have my treatment prolonged for another year. And I had a tooth that I needed pulled, and he just flat out, refused to pull it, and then when I went out into the waiting room and was explaining to my mother, the situation, he came out in the waiting room. And told me not to be bad mouthing him in front of his other patients. Yet, he is the one that stood in a room and yelled at the top of his lungs at me. This is the same dentist's office where my mother witnessed a drug deal happened right in the.Reception area. The quality of care when he first started, his practice was beyond amazing.The quality of care now I don't know because I refuse to go back to him.I got to the point where I would literally only go to this practice if I had to. I also recall once that I had broken.My tooth off and I called first thing.The next morning to see if I could get an emergency appointment and the receptionist told me that they did not have emergency appointments.And when I asked to speak to the dentist himself, I was told that he did not take phone calls.And I was being that I was being rude to her when, in fact, I was not and most dentist offices and or doctor's offices have in empty slots for emergencies. They then said I would have to pay over $1500 out of pocket for the work (or use their dental credit affiliate) This did not sound or feel right, so I went to another dentist for a second opinion, and they said I had NO CAVITIES. Basically, Edgewood might be scamming people- I can't speak for everyone, but in my case- that was a lot of unnecessary work that would have been done. It is disappointing that people with knowledge and power would take advantage of others for money. I am a grad student, Indianapolis resident and am not with any competing dentist trying to mud sling other dentists through reviews.

I also had my teeth cleaned a few weeks ago and she was too rough as well. We've never had this kind of experience there and have been patients for 10 years. This needs to be addressed. I'm not sure if she's new or not. Another issue is we have 2 free cleanings a year which is every 6 months with our insurance. They have been scheduling us every 8-9 months which most times is only once a year. If he has so many patients maybe it's time to hire another dentist to work with him. I communicated I had sensitive gums and teeth and asked how many x rays ? Why so many ? The woman was oriental with no personality whatsoever . She was aggressive, using the tools to put in my mouth as well each time pushing camera into the tool that was already in my mouth further into mouth hitting/rubbing/scratching the inside of my gums . She was not gentle nor seem to care for my concerns I exs pressed. Trying to swallow with this tool in my mouth had me coughing and she had pulled the tool out hitting my tooth pretty hard of which I said " ouch ,can you be more gentle please?" .. My gums and mouth were in pain and I had stoped her 3 times as she continued to take 12 plus more x rays. When the Denist came over whom was very polite I again verbally stated my gums and teeth were very sensitive and asked why so many x rays... When I had an opportunity to get home, the back of my tooth felt funny, kinda like sandpaper I noticed that the back of my tooth was chipped And that the skin was rubbed raw from where the tool was in my mouth. My teeth have been bleeding for the last several days, and i have been taking pics . I contacted the office since and spoke with a woman named Kim whom told me that that they would charge me for another appointment for me to be seen to acknowledge that my gums were bleeding and my tooth was possibly chipped. ... I stated that that was completely unethical ! we are not on the same page how your choosing to go about this. asking if a manager and/or an ownership to reach out to me . I said I had preferred to deal with this in-house because I understand people make mistakes and I was in a lot of pain of which Kim the "manager" had said she would check and get back to me leaving me in an emergency situation with no help or reference. When I had asked for my x-rays, she had told me I would need to come in to sign a consent form of which I also thought was ridiculous.. A few days later, I called another location. They disagreed with how the situation was handled said that they would take me as a new patient and absolutely that it needed to be looked at immediately . .then an hour or so later had a manager from that location in Avon contact me saying that I was " dismissed as a patient" but she understood the situation and would reach out to a regional manager and have them get back with me as soon as tomorrow. Nothing about that is ethical my gums are bleeding. My cheek is swollen. My tooth is chipped and it seems to be that the original location does not want to take accountability and/or acknowledge the damage that was done to a new patient. I think this speaks volumes for the business itself in the entirety of the established chains and how they go about helping versus hurting patients, regardless of Indiana medical and dentistry state laws
