Was there for a shellac manicure. Manicure was fine-ish ( though I had asked a question about my polish colour which was ignored and even now not sure about the colour/would have preferred another). One girl began my manicure ( lovely girl) and handed over to another who swept in rudely ignored me and her colleague, and silently and seemingly rather annoyed, continued to do my nails. In. complete. silence. I'm all for a relaxed atmosphere and not having to chat all the way through but this was downright rude. She did did not even introduce herself or say a single word. Then the spa staff member swept in to ask if " i had paid" as if I was avoiding paying!! I had to ask for my hands back to get my wallet!! Usually you pay at the end but they wanted payment first. strange and not professional in asking for this. Re the therapist, all that was missing was her snapping bubble gum in my face. Also sighing and checking her watch every 5 minutes while slogging away felt passive aggressive. Fair enough, its a mancure, I dont need to meet her for coffee (!!) but a certain level of courtesy is normal. Not an enjoyable experience. When I asked for her name on leaving she twigged the reason and followed up with a " have a good weekend bye" but this was the extent of her chat. Even on finish my nails she simply stood up and walked away leaving me sitting in my seat. Service far from professional or friendly. Complained on leaving and staff member lost patience after 30 seconds and did a "I'll pass that on". Not good. read more
