I live in Iowa, USA. I regularly have a "dip" manicure. I learned that you do something called BIAB which seems to be far superior. The whole salon was bright and clean; (loved getting the Butler chocolate!) I think my tech's name was Calalia? Beautiful Russian immigrant and so talented. My nails are in bad condition and she did a wonderful job, picked a bright red that is perfect. She did a great job on my cuticles. I had a Mink pedicure with shellac and mini manicure with shellac and for what I got the price is extortionate. I was in and out of my seat in well under an hour & when I got home and realised what the times should have been I was shocked. Steps definitely missed in both applications. Staff are lovely to deal with and after I paid I was given an amount back on gift card but the value for money is awful. Far better places in Dublin at a fraction of the cost. I will never return which is a pity as the salon is lovely. Comes down to over priced, badly timed management of services. I don't mind paying more for an outstanding service, which this absolutely wasn't! read more

My appointment was for 12.00 today . I got a call as I parked my car on walking over to mink to say that my nail technician was late due into work and they would expect her at 12.15. I continued to walk over to mink asking can anyone else start my appointment and I as told no . So as I had my parking paid for and n route I continued and arrived at mink at 12. receptionists really took no interest and I said to them I will take a seat and wait ? They both replied yes . I asked again was there anyone free to start my nails even seat me at a work station and then reply was a sharp no . I stressed to the receptionist my time concerns and how it not ideal to get the call 10'minutes before my appointment . The receptionist Didn't really seem to care and were very blazay qnd just wanted me out of their way . So I sat and waited and was not offered tea coffee nothing . My technician arrived and apologised and I was very polite to her and explained these things happen and thanked her for doing my nails . However the care less attitude of the receptionists is not the level of service mink has ever had in the past . I'm going to mink for 15 years and this as by far the worst level of customer service I have ever had there . I appreciate it's a busy salon however the receptionist were unprofessional and rude and couldn't really care less about my time concerns . read more

Vouchers are the best. Without them I'd never spend money on things like a manicure or pedicure (darling). So thanks to a lovely voucher from a friend, I was able to treat myself to a visit to Mink hand and foot spa in Ballsbridge. I had a voucher for a fancy schmancy manicure which involved rose petals and mint oil so I (very sensibly) asked if I could swap the special manicure for a normal manicure and normal pedicure - no problem. It was so nice! It's such a treat, and at the end I had pretty hands and feet. A really nice girl called Katie did my hands and did a super job. The whole experience was really luxurious and completely indulgent. And that was only the basic treatments, so I'd say the fancy ones are very special. I did see a bride and bridesmaid (I'm guessing) having their nails done and being served champagne and strawberries dipped in chocolate - very nice (although hard to eat with no hands). Lovely salon experience and very nice way to spend an hour or two. They also have a salon in Donnybrook, they do men's nails too (you know you want to) and just what every princess needs... manicures for kids. read more

The perky, chatty girls at the front desk will confirm your appointment (a must here), check your coat and rush off to prepare a tea or coffee to help you settle in. Your manicurist then quietly leads you to a comfy seat at one of the manicure stations -if you're lucky you'll get a seat in the deep set chairs with your feet in a bubbling tub of suds for a carefully done pedicure. The marine pedicure paired with a mini manicure and 15 minute arm rub is the stuff of legends -if a shade over the expensive side. In fact, outside of the mini mani (€25) or pedi (€30), treatments can cost upwards of €100, though many are between €40 and €60. Just a quick update to let you know why Mink really deserves a five star rating ! Today I was not totally in my best mood so I called MINK. I called and I asked for an appointment today at 16h. Meaning 2 hours from then. Usually I would be told that the salon is overbooked until 2021 but today I wasn't. All the positive forces of the universe gathered to free this time schedule for me. Bless you Universe ! When I arrived, I was taken care of superbly by Susan. She started with my hands with a mini manicure. I had brought with me the latest Dior nail varnish called "Tuxedo" and I can assure you the result was Wonderful ! I am always very happy with the girls service, but that time was different. Maybe was I expecting more attention than usually. Anyway, she did an amazing job and boosted my mood to the top ! Then came the mini pedicure. As I had accumulated points on my loyalty card, I had a free extra treatment. How Awesome ? Very much so. The result was perfect. To wrap it up, I would say that I am never disappointed by MINK. Yes, the prices are relatively high but, I've been here enough times to never be happy when I try to go elsewhere. All the nail techs for pedicures are very thorough, the reception staff is friendly. It's the absolute only place I'll ever go for nail extensions. Book as far in advance whenever possible, and show up ahead of time because parking in the area can be nightmarish. I had booked a pedicure (the same treatment I get every time) but in error this was put down as a manicure. Lots of faffing around when I pointed this out and my treatment started about 7 minutes late - finished after 40 minutes when I realised the therapist had in fact done a mini manicure and not the one I usually have. No offer of tea/coffee/water - all very rushed. I did point out when paying and got an apology but still felt very disappointed after making the effort to go there (I live nearly an hour away). So I will start off by saying I had a great experience at Mink. The salon is beautiful and clean. The staff is friendly and welcoming. My manicure and pedicure was done very well. I especially appreciate that they have respect for your time here. They did my mani and pedi at the same time, which easily saved me a half hour without sacrificing quality. So why only 3 stars, you ask? I just can't wrap my head around the price. I understand that mani/pedis are more expensive in Dublin in general compared to what I'm accustomed to paying in NYC, and I am clearly still having trouble accepting this. I would love to make a regular habit of going to Mink, but unfortunately it will have to be a special indulgence...which makes me sad. read more

I know this place is a little pricey and that's probably because it's in fancy ballsbridge but honestly it's worth the money. First off the salon itself is very nice. The decor is nice, bright and clean, it's tranquil, the staff is friendly and professional, and that's everything you experience before you even get your treatment. I got a mini pedi which was by no means 'mini.' It lasted 45 minutes and the girl did a great job taking her time and make sure it was done right. She was also very nice and offered to get me a glass of water before we started. The chairs were also big and comfy and there was a very big selection of colors and magazines to choose from. If you're looking for a nice pedicure I would recommend saving your money and going with the mini instead of the next one up because from what I can tell the only difference is a sea salt scrub. My pedicure lasted for weeks after too! I will definitely be going back here! But if you want to go make sure you make call for an appointment at least a few days in advance or else you probably won't be able to get in. read more

Very disappointed. I had been before and had a very good quality manicure and pedicure but this time the manicure was poor quality. The whole felt rushed and a bit roughh. I wasn't given a choice of nail varnish colours to choose from and when I asked my therapist if I see the colour card she didn't understand what I was saying. The varnish she used started to chip off after a few days, there as very poor attention to my cuticales, in fact it looks like they haven't been touched at all. Maybe I was just unlucky but I think I will try somewhere else next time. It's a fairly expensive for a hit and miss experience. read more

Mink usually is quite brilliant but the few times they don't live up to the standard they have set for themselves you leave quite disappointed. Mink is a luxurious beauty parlor where you can get great mani- and pedicures. I usually don't like people seeing my feet, because I wear Rugby-boots quite often, but Mink manages to transform them into proper girl's feet. Their manicures last pretty long, and I usually put them to the test- again with the Rugby. If you have a spare 15 Euro and feel a bit stressed, you should also try the hand and arm massage they offer. A gift voucher from Mink is a great present for any really girly friends you might have and can even change the mind of your less girly friends. read more

Disgraceful customer service from the manager and will never use this salon again.I had been to Mink before as part of a hens party and decided to book my friend in for a mini pedicure for her birthday. I emailed the salon and asked to be booked in for a mini pedicure and this was confirmed by return email. When we arrived we got our pedicures done and were happy with the service. I then went to the reception desk to pay and was informed that we had gotten 2 marine pedicures not mini pedicures. I disputed this and said I had asked for a mini pedicure by email. The manager I was dealing with asked me to produce proof of this email as they had so many emails to go through. I brought the confirmation emails up on my phone and the receptionist confirmed with the manager that I had asked for a mini pedicure not a marine pedicure. The manager then told me I was happy with the service and received extra treatment so I should pay extra for it. I told her it was outside my budget thats why I booked a mini pedicure and that I didn't realise I had gotten anything 'extra' as I don't get pedicures on a regular basis. She then asked me to pay half of the difference between the 2 costs and I reiterated that it wasn't the service that I had asked for. She said I would need to pay 75 euro. I told her I wasn't happy about it and she didn't offer anything else so I had to pay the 75 euro. This was an extremely embarrassing situation to put me in especially as I had bought the pedicure for a friends present, who had to witness the whole thing. I was appalled at the managers customer service. I had no problem paying the 60 euro for the service I had requested considering the entire error was on Minks side but she insisted I pay more. At a time where people don't have much disposable income and the only thing that keeps customers coming back is good customer service I can definitely say my experience turned me off going to Mink ever again. All of the other staff were very friendly and accommodating but the manager on duty needs some training on how to treat and retain customers. read more

I read few good reviews about Mink and was sure that they will do my nails just right. To start with reception the girl was not too much interested in clients, doing her own thing. Quite surprisingly I was asked to pay upfront. My Mink loayalty card pre-ordered online was not ready either. Then I figured out that instead of 1 nail technician booked, there will be two, and the one I booked initially will do just a pedicure. The pedicure was great, the chair was comfy and the nail technician was great. Pricey, but perhaps I would go for pedicure with the same girl once again. Then another girl was supposed to take care about my nails (mini manicure and artistic polish), and that was rough, she cut my cuticles without any extra preparation (soaking or cuticle remover) so deeply that eventually I'm having two small cuts there, she was working really roughly and eventually now few hours later I'm having two swallen cuticles with other fingers just hurting badly. I never ever had such a manicure in a decet nail salon. Very disappointing. read more
