I opted for the Essential Manicure, which covers everything a US mani normally comes with - massage, cuticle care, file, polish and shine. I couldn't quite find the shade I wanted and kept saying, "A slightly redder, lighter oxblood" so Lien pulled out a few shades and tested a few on my nails. She also suggested making our own shade by doing a red base with a darker top... And she nailed it! (Heh) I would have never thought of it and it sounds silly to get so excited but I've just never had anyone nail this color before! (Yay all the puns!) It costs €20 for a full shellac manicure, which includes cuticle work & removal. Amazing value! I have also had a regular manicure here, with my polish lasting perfectly over one week and costing an extremely reasonable thirteen euro. Kate always makes sure that your nails are perfect and that you are totally happy with them before you leave. Also very convenient is the fact that you can text her to book an appointment at any time and she always replies within five minutes or so. She is very accommodating and will always try to get you an appointment when she can. Having been to lots of different spas & salons over the years I can confidently say that I think Magic Nail Bar with Kate is my favourite place to go for a manicure. Magic is run by Kate, an extraordinary character and lovely lady through and through. She has back to back appointments so make sure you book in advance. You do so by texting her, she replies straight away. She does Shellac and regular polish and offers other beauty treatments too. Best of all was the price, €35 for a really good haircut in a place that feels kind of high end is amazing! I will definitely be back. Super helpful. Then she did a lovely shellac polish and it's looking great a week later. Brilliant price too, €25 for removing the old stuff, a quick shape and then shellac. Interior is a little shabby but have to say the service was great. I'll be going again.
