I had an appointment with Heather I believe a few months ago and just did a cut and blow dry. The cut was perfect and everything I wanted unfortunately short hair doesn't suit my face, lesson learned. They were very attentive and friendly, shampoo girl was amazing! I know crazy concept, how can a shampoo girl be amazing? I've had my hair tugged, face, neck and shoulders completely soaked so yeah she was good very gentle and careful. Overall I paid $90 less than I anticipated. All their staff charges differently according to their experience or wether they're considered 'masters' I think however all their stylist do amazing work and Im extremely picky. Chelsea is stylish and young and and knows the latest looks, so she never fails to give a great up to date color. I never leave disappointed and always leave with my hair looking exactly how I want. They never fail to make me feel welcome and my hair look great! They also serve complimentary beverages while you get your hair done, and there are numerous great places nearby to order food from while you're getting your hair done (which they're totally okay with). I was really happy with my hair style at Educe salon. I reserved an appointment online the same day I wanted the cut. On my way there, I got a phone call saying that the stylist I requested was busy but they then hooked me up with another stylist who did a fantastic job. The layout is your typical chic salon and you can get free champagne while getting your hair cut, evidently this is popular for the housewives of Orlando. My cut cost $30 which isn't a bad price from what I've seen for salons like this. They also have a deal on yelp, which I forgot to redeem when I was there. After becoming stale with my hairdresser of 20+ years, I was ready for a change. But finding a hairdresser in Orlando that is good with frizzy, wavy hair is impossible to find. My experience with Educe Salon has been the best experience I have ever had since moving here from Miami. My stylist was Angelina who was recommended because she is great with ethnic, caucasian and mixed hair. I am caucasian, but after years of coloring and flat irons, my hair has become a mix between super frizzy and curly and wavy that was just impossible to style without hair tools. Due to the texture of my hair, blow drying it takes at least 40 minutes and even after that it's still too frizzy and I end up having to put it up in velcro rollers. After Angelina assessed my hair, she recommended a good cut, fresh color and balayage, and keratin products. She walked me through each step and did a fantastic job! For the first time in a long time, I received the exact cut and blow dry that I wanted, which is every curly/frizzy haired girls dream! It amazes me how many stylists in Orlando can't work a blow dryer!! :/ For the first time in many years, my hair is manageable, soft and after switching to keratin products, my blow drying time has been cut in half! Angelina is personable, friendly, knowledgeable and carries a great conversation. She truly cares and wants you to be satisfied with your hair. On a final note, the customer service I received was above and beyond my expectations. As soon as I arrive, I am asked if I would like anything to drink and I never have to wait more than 5 or 10 mins. I also love, love, love, how I'm not worked between 3 other people. A huge pet peeve of mine! With my busy schedule, receiving a reminder email for my appointment and then a follow up email to ask how I enjoyed my services, just reassures me that I have found my new salon! Pretty great experience here! I needed a haircut the other day and checked Yelp for places near my job. Educe had a Yelp deal and an opening later that afternoon so I chose them. I guess everyone operates as an individual stylist and it is commission based, so while I was getting an eyebrow wax and a haircut, I had to pay separately so each stylist could collect their money, which is a little bit of a hassle, but no big deal. The wax was $20 and I honestly felt like the woman didn't do anything to clean up my brows. While she was waxing, it felt like she was hardly putting any wax on my skin and when she pulled the strips off, it didn't hurt at all. I figured she was just using some new material that minimized pain, but when I saw my eyebrows after, they hardly looked any different and I was plucking tons of stray hairs in the coming days. She didn't brush, tweeze, or trim them at all when she was done waxing, either, which I've always had people do as my eyebrows can get pretty unruly. Not worth the $20 when I can got to any nail salon and have my brows waxed better for about $6. The man who cut my hair, on the other hand, was great! I believe his name was Daniel and he was new to the salon. He was really friendly and thorough--I think he cut/styled my hair for close to an hour and a half. While I had some idea of what I wanted to do, he was able to assess the state of my hair and make some really informed suggestions on what cut would best suit me. I'm terrible with that sort of stuff, so his suggestions were much appreciated. He was friendly and conversational, but also really professional and knowledgeable. He gave me a great cut that gave my hair plenty of body and volume that it didn't have before, and he was able to recommend a product that has kept my hair grease-free and allowed me to go a day or two without shampooing, which is something no stylist has EVER been able to keep me from doing as my hair usually gets way too oily to allow me to go between washes. After discussing my styling habits and the way my hair reacts to products, he even suggested that I go with the trial size of the product because they were so pricey and he didn't want me to waste my money in case it didn't work. For that reason alone I will be back. They weren't exactly sure how to redeem my Yelp deal so cashing out took some time, but all in all, really great experience and staff. read more

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago. I booked with Yanni who I found through Instagram and I'm so thankful. She's explained every step before we did anything and told me exactly how much everything would cost which is awesome because most people don't tell you the cost. I was unsure about what color I wanted to go and how it would look on my skin tone and she picked the perfect color. The salon is beautiful and clean. They have beer and wine which is awesome. Educe is about one minute from my house, so I figured I may as well give them a shot. They introduced me to Yanni, who is an absolute doll. My hair is curly and difficult to cover the gray. She has easily given me the best color that I've ever received, with the gray coverage easily lasting a solid 8 weeks. Her cuts are great, as well and I'm thrilled that after looking for 4 years for a replacement to my girl who moved back to New Jersey that I found Yanni who moved from New Jersey to Orlando. Best experience!! I saw Kat Chase's work via yelp and decided to make an appointment. She was booked out for a couple of months BUT IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!!! I had tried to get my hair done several times over the last couple of years with the balayage /ombré look, but it never came out the way I wanted, I showed Kat a couple of pictures of what I wanted and it came out PERFECT. My change in color was very drastic I basically went from black hair to blonde in one sitting. I have been coloring my hair for years and I have never had my hair look this healthy after coloring it, it usually looks fried any other time I have gotten it lightened. You can really tell she knows exactly what she is doing and is extremely knowledgable about her craft and the products she is using. Excellent salon with a friendly, attentive staff. They always greet me with a beverage of choice and welcome me in the salon. I hadn't cut my for over 2 years and after constant breakage, I knew that it was time to get to snipping. I had SO much salon anxiety due to bad cuts in my past so I called the salon and the receptionist gave me an excellent breakdown of the different levels of experience for their stylists @ Educe. She told me about their Level 3 stylist named Wayne Standaloft knew how to take on curly hair and I was able to make the appointment the same day! I was anxious at first but Wayne made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. Gave me tips on how to take better care of my wild locks and offered me really good advice about life in general. (he should be a therapist) I wanted to make it a commitment to visit the salon more often to maintain my hair but now Wayne makes me want to come back even more , and doesn't make the process seem like a heinous chore! I went here to get a balayage done and I specifically asked for it to be a dark brown tone. I explained to my stylist that I have never really colored my hair before so this was going to be a first for me. I also said that I dont want any blonde in my hair. My hair is dark brown and all i wanted was a shade lighter to make it have a natural look. I paid almost $350 and the color washed out in the first week. I ended up with orange hair. I went back to have the stylist fix it and it was almost as if she was super annoyed and being argumentative. This made me feel very uncomfortable. She put a new color in and it washed out within two more weeks. I bought redken color safe shampoo before i even got the hair done to make sure my shampoo didnt wash it out. Now im stuck with blonde in my hair that I hate and I just cant wait for it to grow out to have my natural hair back. This place was a first and a last and now it makes me not trust anyone to color my hair. read more
