I was doing other running around and ended up walking in the store 2 minutes before closing (hate to be that person)! Employees were nothing but helpful and friendly. I knew exactly what I needed and asked an employee where I could find it, so I could get out of the store as fast as possible. She quickly helped me, but the poster I needed was out of stock. Another employee was near, so I just asked how often the posters were restocked. She let me know pretty often, so I said, "Okay. I will check back another day." The employee did not let me walk away and insisted I showed her what I was looking for and she gladly stated she would look in the back for me. I told her it was not a big deal at all as the store was now closed. The employee said, "No. You are here. I am going to check for you. We've just been so busy all day we have not had time to restock." She came back with exactly what I needed, and we are now best friends- except I am disappointed in myself as I did not get her name. The store still had about 10 customers in it, yet every employee was willing to help people get what they needed instead of rushing them out. I haven't seen customer service like that in a LONG time! I record and listen to the Bill Winston Ministries broadcast daily. I discovered after listening for a while that the teaching from this broadcast, were so anointed and has so impacted my life and my future ministry. I asked my daughter-in-law to take me to the mall so I could visit Living Word Christian Center in hopes of meeting Pastor Winston personally. I saw the Royal Christian Bookstore as I searched for the church at the mall, so I went into the bookstore asking for directions. I shared with them who I was and that I was looking for the church. The staff was so warm and excited in meeting us, hearing my story and why I had come to visit. After assisting me with my shopping, several of the staff members personally gave us a tour of the church and the Joseph School for Business. It so happened that there was a holiday sale going on at the bookstore as well. We spent approximately 2-hours between shopping at the bookstore and going on a tour. This ended-up being the highlight of my visit to Chicago, aside from the visit with my family. The selection in the bookstore was great and well worth the trip. The staff treated us like family, it was the experience of a lifetime, we will be forever indebted to the staff, I've called back to the bookstore since my trip, just to say hello and to again thank them for the warm reception, the tour, and the like family atmosphere of Royal Christian Bookstore and Cafe, I recommend it highly. I even had part of the bulletin board set laminated for a whopping $.39/per sq. ft. I became a rewards member even though I'm not a teacher (maybe they offer this to everyone? Staff was very friendly and helpful; a big kudos to Karen for all of her assistance. Store was tidy and clean. Awesome parking lot, too. The store seems to offer lots of coupons, so that's a perk; especially for big ticket items. Will definitely return in the future for more supplies!
