Anyone else ever have a great experience somewhere and leave and think wow, people need to know…read moreHow great this place is?! Well that was me today, I would HIGHLY recommend Ramon's shoe repair shop and I will definitely be a returning customer! He was so kind, welcoming, and it felt like he just genuinely loved what he was doing. I walked in with my hopes not high as I had already been to multiple seamstress in the area who shot me down, but not Ramon... He helped me right away and within an hour he was finished.. I was blown away because I'm sure it's not everyday he repairs a dog harness! But his work looked better than I could have imagined! My dog has a condition called degenerative myelopathy where he is losing the function in his hind legs and I rely on his harness to help him get around the house, go potty, eating, etc. so my pup really couldn't wait.. but he decided he wanted to chew a part of the harness today and I was so worried it wasn't fixable or we would have to wait days for it to be fixed or heck even drop another large amount of money to buy another but again Ramon fixed it seamlessly and made it looked better than I imagined. He wasted no time and his kindness and work ethic was inspiring ! It totally made my day and my dogs! Plus his shop was so cool, very clean and tidy! I could go on and on. But bottom line, My Pup and I thank you so much Ramon, you went above and beyond!

Brought a sorority bag that had vinyl straps which were on their last leg. Love the bag because…read moreit's a set that has two matching luggage's, so I needed to have new straps. Ramon's was the second place I tried and both gave me comparable estimates for new leather straps - $65! That's actually more than the bag costed, but since it's a set, I decided to suck up the cost and have it done. Ramon's has good customer service, they gave me a reasonable date for when the work would be completed and they did a good job with the straps. I didn't care for having to pay in cash vs. being able to use my credit card - but aside from that, I'd say overall it was good.

My friends and I nearly lost our pierogis when we read this. The kid handed us a flyer and told us the t-shirts could be found at this local store called The Junkyard. We made our way to this store in the heat of Summer to find this "cool" shop reminescent of the stores in my stomping grounds of Chicago. Cool T-shirts, many which are transfers. You know, where you pick the t-shirt off the wall and the image and they press it on for you (very old school). My friends and I ended up getting Pierogi T-shirts but also some cool transfer t-shirts with fun sayings on them and my other friend nabbed a cool Misfits t-shirt, wallet and belt buckle too. The decor is cool too - lockers with t-shirts hanging on them, cool pipes or something hanging from the ceiling, old tires (thus the name of the store I guess). Cool music was playing, the owners were two young girls I think (or so it seemed) but it was crazy busy when we were in there so we didn't get to talk to anyone really. If you're in the area, stop by the store. Very cool stuff if you are looking for great t-shirts and INEXPENSIVE. Our Pierogi shirts were $10, and the Misfits one was $12 (the custom made transfer ts were $12 too) - that's a bargin. In Chicago I pay $25 for the same t-shirt. Check them out if you haven't yet.

Once for my kid's basketball themed birthday party (got all them a matching shirt and jersey, 20 or so pieces altogether) and another for my union which was like, IDK, 100 pieces (shirts and hoodies). Tee's got them fast and easy, and whenever I had a question I just gave them a call or shot them an email and they got right back to me. I know I'll be coming back for sure. Highly recommend.
