I am from Barbados and I've recently used ECE to evaluate my associate degree and bachelors. They were very professional. I call one day after office hours and they answered fast and were very patient. I like the fact that you are able to view a sample report online so you have a basic idea of what your report would look like. The best part is that each time they receive a required document they sent an email letting me know what they had so far and what was still needed. Also the report was done in a very timely manner. The only thing is that they are more expensive than many of the other evaluators I could have used. However I like the fact that everything could be done electronically and that I didn't have to print any forms and sign and take to my previous institutions because that would have cost me a plane ticket. They also gave a slightly higher GPA than I originally had in my country so that was a plus. I would give them a 10 if I could. read more

It's a reasonably fast and reliable service albeit the evaluators are so fixated on their own outdated standards and their box that they fail to recognize the uniqueness of each individual. with regular mindset that if you don't have a degree from states you don't have a degree at all and they are doing you a favor !!! for my bachelor I went to India and signed with one of the reputable university there, It was a 3 year program ( that's how it is there and in many countries unless its engineering ) and I graduated first class. they evaluated my degree as 3 year undergraduate which is basically useless after asking for reevaluation they responded we will consider 3 year to be 3 years regardless of whether you graduated or the rank of university or your credits and the fact that in all honestly the program was so compressed and literally there was no brake between semesters and that it took me more to catch up. BTW they won't tell you this otherwise they will loose a large number of their clients. so do yourself a favor and stay away. Bite the bullet and go with WES and do the hoop jumps at least they will consider these factors. Specially if you have "3" year bachelor. oh after I objected they said we have noted that you have a bachelor degree in India ( really I didn't know that and I had to pay someone to tell me that read more

They do not have the slightest clue about european especially german education systems. If anyone want to have their european grades ridiculously downgraded this is the service to go to. Big headed and nowhere any realistic evaluation. No competence whatsoever. read more

They are not professional. They asked a word-to-word translation. A professional would know that a word-to-word translation doesn't make sense. This is not how languages work. If you don't know the language, even a word-to-word translation won't help you. This was a disqualifying factor for me: if you cannot read my diploma, I cannot trust you evaluating it. I asked to cancel my evaluation and return me my documents. They didn't return my money!!! read more

After waiting far to long I for what I thought would be an extremely easy evaluation as it is from English commonwealth nation and the degree is recognized by international evaluation agencies in that field. To my surprise they granted me a lessor degree in a completely different field. Thinking they must have made a major mistake I appealed and was made to wait yet again as they did not even bother to check if it was recognized by international rating agencies in that field as well as the depart of Veterans affairs as a masters level course for VA funding. However, instead of acknowledge their mistake and correcting it they doubled down and said I did not have enough undergraduate studies for a masters. However, I have two B.A. from US certified schools so this makes absolutely no sense. When I informed them this they acted obstinate and condescending saying there was nothing they could do and would stick to there decision regardless. read more

Horrible service. They don't know anything about how the education system works in Europe. They disregarded a BA and a MSc from European Universities and labeled all my credits (over 180 of them) as uncompleted undergrad. Save yourself a lot of headache and find someone more qualified. read more

ECE wants your money but they don't actually want to help you so ask them a couple of questions before you paying them in advance. Red flag: agents don't actually sign their name when dealing with you so you have no idea who's on the other end. Website looks very user-friendly. I got three emails from ECE. 1) Asking money for their "fundraising gala for the Refugees" (Refugees from where? Where's the fundraising gala located?) 2) Asking me for more money and 3) Long and complicated e-mail where they listed all the reasons why they couldn't help me and that if I decided to pay them that I wouldn't get a refund and that they don't guarantee actually delivering a fair assessment on their end. I'm not sure who wrote all the positive reviews but that wasn't my experience at all. read more

Based on the methodology of their evaluation and calculation errors, I don't recommend to use their service.

ECE misguided me into getting the wrong evaluation. When asked if I could pay the difference to get the correct evaluation, they denied it. The CTC requires a detailed course-by-course evaluation, ECE has an evaluation titled Course-By-Course Evaluation. A very deceptive title they are probably aware of. Before I ordered the evaluation, I asked ECE if this was the same. I was told usually this is what credential offices look for. COMPLETELY FALSE! They don't take responsibility for misguiding customers nor do they care about satisfying a customer who paid for multiple copies! read more

ECE reviewed and evaluated my documents fast and easy!!! Great guys! Highly recommend.

Don't never send to them your degrees for evaluation. My experience with them was horrible. I sent my degrees for evaluation ( BA and MA). My University from West Africa confirmed all the degrees, but I don't know why they refused to authenticate them. My University finally told to use WES and everything went great. read more

I used ECE to evaluate my transcripts from Jamaica in 2014 when I wanted to complete an undergrad. I decided to go back for my MBA and I needed to order copies. I contacted their office via their so called live chat, for 4 days no one replied. My 5 year mark for my evaluation was memorial weekend. On Tuesday I took lunch from work early to call them since they don't take calls after 1pm. No answer. After getting through to a person I told her I was having trouble ordering a copy. She was so blah, her response was that my evaluation expired. I explained to her that I have been trying to contact them for over a week. She basically said that is not her problem. I had to pay $275 to order and mail 3 copies. It is now a week since I paid for the evaluation and it still says order submitted. Not in process or anything, just order submitted after a whole WEEK!!!! read more

This company has no clue about the German education system. 11 years ago I used them not knowing and they gave me a HS degree and 43 credits for the German Abitur which goes 13 years, 3 years of university and 3 years of nursing college. Recently I had to do it again and they gave me 10 credits less saying that their policy had changed. I have been teaching at several colleges for 16 years now and I would like to know how someone with so little school can do that. They are ignorant and refuse to work with me despite the BBB trying to help. Stay away! read more

If only I could give them 0 I would!!! Don't ever go here. It's a scam. After they take your money and send your wrong evaluation, they will never reply to your email and they cannot answer any questions on the phone. I have 2 similar grades which is 3 and 78, then they put C to my 3 and D to 78. I guess they just put whatever they think it is. they don't research!!!!! But they said my degree is equivalent to a degree here in the US. it's just that they are very inconsistent to evaluation! and my friend/classmate who also had evaluation with ECE got C with her 77! I don't get it. Look for a better evaluator. This is cheap and so their job. read more

Waste of time and money. As it was mentioned by other reviewers ECE has no Idea about educational system out of US. I have sent them my AA degree and received evaluation for High school diploma. They made me pay up front and then I spent a lot of time waiting. And waiting. And waiting... Following up with them was nearly impossible. And when I finally got them on the phone, they basically made it very clear they didn't understand anything about German law school. The lack of professional knowledge this company displays makes me wonder how their doors are still open... Apparently if you went to school in any country in which a three-year bachelor degree is instated they will evaluate your degree as equivalent to ¾ of an American bachelor's degree. See the number of credits has no significance. Had I taken 240 credits in two years my degree would still only count as 1/2 of a degree... Their response was shameful and they lack the knowledge of precisely what they claim to professionaly evaluate - degrees from countries other than the USA. Here is a direct quote from their email reply: "In the United States, a Bachelor's degree represents completion of a unified program of study requiring a minimum of four or five years (8 to 10 semesters) of full-time study. As Mr. --- indicated previously, it is a basic principle of comparative education that one year of full-time academic work at any one university-level institution is the equivalent of one year of full-time academic work at any other university-level institution. One year of full-time academic work at a university in the United States represents a total of 30 to 32 semester hours of credit. Therefore, one year of full-time academic work at a university in Israel (or in any other country) represents the equivalent of 30-32 semester hours of credit in the United States." Avoid wasting your money on this sub-par evaluator. They have no knowledge of higher education systems and should be removed from all approved evaluator lists. read more

I don't usually leave reviews or anything but this time I'll make an exemptions . I applied my credentials to be evaluated in Ece and the process went so great and fast. I got my education from an Asian country and my evaluation result is more than what I expected it to be. I'm just very glad. They sent the result together with my documents only 2 weeks time at most. For those individuals who have foreign school credentials, you won't regret ECE. read more

Stay away from this company. I was looking to convert my grades from the European system to the GPA grade system. I searched the internet and found this company and WES. The only reason why I selected them was because they were $20 cheaper! I am extremely regret that I made that choice. I simply should've have gone with WES since they provide a much better customer service than ECE. To start with, if you go to WES' website, you will be able to see the conversion metrics before hand allowing you to have a good idea on what your GPA will be. On the other hand, ECE has nothing on their website. Furthermore, their customer service is horrible. It took nearly 2 months for somebody to reply to my emails! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They cannot translate overseas degrees and will underscore them compared to US degrees. They have a very basic level of understanding and when you question them on their incompetence they tell you that they won't do anything because you agreed to the terms and conditions. Basically, it doesn't matter if you have any expectation that they might perform a good job, because you were supposed to know that they have an insane scoring method that weighs heavily against an overseas degree and makes you look like a below average student in U.S terms. Scored a high 2:1 UK degree? ECE will tell you that your U.S GPA is under 3.2. Just think about that for a second. How in the world does that add up? Scored a 50 on a UK course? That's a B grade. Scored a 69? That's still a B!!!!!! If I didn't just waste over $100 on these fools then I would actually be laughing. Do yourself a favour and use a company like WES. While, they are not great with communication, they have a far more accurate and fairer translating system. read more

If you went to oversea technical schools, don't use them. They use age/ grade level cut off methods to evaluate your transcripts. In short, count the total years of schooling you have had, took 12 years off of your education, then the rest "might have" a chance to be evaluated as undergrad(college) credits. They are firm believers of anything before 12th grade( years of education) is considered as GRADE SCHOOL. That is why so many people think they don't do well evaluating 3 years college, 5 years college, 2 years college... They are format specific not content. It doesn't matter that American high schools don't teach Engineering Math. It will be listed as "High School credit". If you have to use them, make sure have your admission officer, or dean of the school to call the school where you receive your degree from and let them communicate directly. read more

We just received an ECE report for my wife. They evaluated a two-year nursing program (2,750 academic hours in total) taken abroad as "one year of undergraduate study" which will result in rejecting the application for an AS-to-BS college application. Think critically, if you study full-time 8 hours per day during 2 full semesters (36 weeks) you could complete only 1,440 academic hours (roughly a half). We sent a re-evaluation request returned with "I am sorry that you are not satisfied with our evaluation report. We will not change the report, since it accurately reflects our evaluation judgment" and suggested to issue a refund. We are in the process to file complaints to the NACES and BBB. If you are going to apply with them please be aware: your evaluation also could be treated as a piece of art - do you need this? Or you want your credentials to be evaluated by professionals responsible for their work? Good Luck. read more

I recently received my evaluation and have to say that the service, communication, customer service response time, answers to my questions etc. were really good. I contacted a different service after I got my report from ECE and received the equivalent to a Masters, which in my opinion is correct. read more

Wes sent my evaluation to a wrong address than my manually entered one. This led to a one a month delay in my start date at my employment leading to economical and financial issues. I sent them a help message via contact us and requested it be send to the correct address. On week later they still haven't sent it out . To add to this, I have called them every single day in these past 7 days to find out when they will send out the evaluation. Every day they make me hold for 45 -60minutes, their representative states the EXACT same thing that 'they are sorry, they have ESCALATED it and it will be send out by the end of today's business day". Every morning I wake up to find out I was lied to once again ( including lies by the so called supervisor Michael), I call them again to hear the exact same statement. Its been a repetition every day. I have told them this further delay has led to another month delay in my starting date. SEVEN days later since my initial request to rectify the mistake and nothing has been done. They do not care if you are being affected emotionally and financially by a mistake made by them. They have taken absolutely no step to rectify their mistake. Their repressive Carla had the audacity to tell me there is no time line, though the previous three representative before her told me its 2 business days. The irony of all of this is, it was mistake made on their part and they make their customer suffer through it, is just un acceptable. This organization has been a nightmare. This company has absolutely no structure or empathy for their customers. They should be ashamed. read more

Terrible service. Called a week before submitting my application to make sure I won't need anything else besides the paperwork listed on the website...since I my Diploma is from a different country, I wanted to make sure I got everything. Their customer service representative ASSURED me I had everything and all I had to do was to click "submit". Only after 3-4 days I got an email saying "not enough documents...pls request additional paperwork from the country you got your Diploma". It was pretty much impossible to get that (and they new that) since we are in a different time zone and I have graduated 6 years ago. I called and asked for my money back...Long story short, RUDE, IRRESPONSIBLE and LIERS!...I've lost $70 because their own representative told me my paperwork was good to go. Slow service and they don´t even pay attention to the client. They asked me again and again for my High School Conclusion Certificate even after I sent them e-mails saying it was not needed for the credit transfer that I needed for college. That delayed my credit transfer because my evaluator couldn´t check his mails properly or didn´t care about the customer. Thank you ECE. You suck. read more

This company is non-profit and the people were very superior and I would rate the whole experience as a 5 star except for one major flaw. They only evaluate past credentials as it pertains to whether the applicant is trying to get into an institution for further study. We submitted 2 requests: for Psychology and Massage License for the state of Florida. They did a thorough review of the Psychology degree (undergrad, masters level, PhD and post PhD - yes this person is VERY qualified) and sent that on to us. (Unfortunately, the state of FL still would not accept this enough to give a simple Psychology license, even though this company was one of those recommended on their website.) But ECE would not give ANY accreditation for a simple Massage Therapy degree (from a program taken at a state school in Russia) that would allow us to apply for a simple Massage license because that was not of a BA or BS level program, in their opinion. They don't evaluate that sort of thing, I guess. So now we have to find another similar evaluator who does evaluate that. The person I spoke with said, basically, ECE was not the right agency to help us but another might be. I wish I had known this 6 months ago before we had multitudes of diplomas sent back and forth across the sea. read more

I recently used their service (was bit sacred of using it before on basis of negative reviews). To my surprise , they did well and I got the report within the specified time which is matching my expectations. Also, all my original documents were returned without any new wrinkle.NOTE: my university is 'not so known' , so I was nervous that they might report it as unrecognized institution ,but since it is listed under my country's list of recognised universities, they made the appropriate report. It shows that they refer to proper and authentic databases while evaluating. read more

WARNING: If you graduated from a country with an educational structure of a three-year undergraduate degree -- such as many European nations, India or Australia -- do NOT use this credential service. As a university member myself, and having talked with three different levels of employees at ECE, I now realize that this company is not transparent about the criteria it uses in evaluating international degrees, which is particularly questionable when it comes to countries using this three-year system. I learned that what they call an international education degree comparison is really only a year-to-year and credit-to-credit alignment, which means that 4 years and 120 semester hours is the "Golden Standard" by which all analyses are done. In other words there is NO nuanced assessment done with an understanding of the country's educational system (structure, policies, etc). Their evaluation is merely a very expensive alignment and grade calculation. Using only this criteria, most, if not not all, three-year undergraduate degrees will always be assessed as ONLY three years of undergraduate education. Of course companies can choose whatever criteria they want, but my problem with this company is its lack of transparency on their website about this four-year/120 hour criteria, as well as its narrow, rigid interpretation of international degree comparisons. What they pride themselves in doing, I find to be a disservice to immigrants with these degrees who seek to better themselves through further education. read more

I just received my evaluation, I couldn't have been happier thanks to ECE, I didn't have a lot of time to choose an agency because of some deadlines, so I had no choice but to send them my application despite the bad reviews that I read on the Internet, I hadn't any complication or problem with my request and I just got my evaluation in time. I've never had any interaction with them through the process of my application, except for one point, I would have liked to receive a call or an email from them telling me that my file have been received, the truth is that I got nervous and afraid to lose my transcript and degrees, so I called them, the operator was professional and polite, she responded to all my questions and she assured me that they preferred not bothering me since my file was complete. I believe that they have no advantage to not get any evaluation done, unfortunately, if someone's procedure was interrupted; that's because something might be missing from his file. Good luck to everyone and welcome to America. read more

Stay away from this center. The main purpose of this center is to get your money and then find reasons not to do the job. I have applied for the service, sent the original docuements from my forgein university. I had been following up for 4 days with them after receiving confirmation from the curriers service that they received it. I tried calling by phone at different times, waited close to one hour and never my call was answered. When I followed up by emails, after more than a day I was getting responses that they are still evaluation what I had sent, after 4 days of evaluation, I was informed their expert review deterimed that my documents did not have an original dimploma (four days "Experts" looked at two pages that I sent (original with University stamps, etc.) and only after 4 days deterned the diploma was not there). This center is the only one that decided to require the diploma, as it appears they want to take the money and find any possible reason not to do the job, instead of working with the client. They do not want to return my money. They did not do the job. There are much better centers than this one, I highly recommend to stay away from it. read more
