I needed an evaluation of my university courses from Asia. You were asking for an original copy of my transcripts and original diploma. My university in Asia does not provide original copies of my transcripts or copies in a sealed envelope. We also are not comfortable sending my original diploma (only a copy). My only option is to submit a photocopy of my transcripts. When I contacted you, you were not able to accommodate my requests and would not change the requirements. I do not agree with your requirements because they are unreasonable. I won't be sending my original diploma; only a copy. I cannot get official copies of the transcripts because the university won't provide them. Therefore, we be using another company with the same NACES certification. I do not recommend using the services of this company and recommend that others search elsewhere for a NACES certified company. I emailed them asking what are the French document needed for an equivalence for Bachelor degree. They responded with the standard respond that it depends on the country and I should refer to the website. I told you it was from France!! If you need equivalency for French degrees, check with another evaluation bureau. They refused to give me an equivalence between "Licence" and Bachelor degree although this is suggested by the French and US education system. read more

Everything was done quickly, however it didn't help much, since the evaluation was an unfair representation of my GPA. As a person, who is familiar with the European grading system, I am certain that the report I received is not equivalent to my diploma. ECE could've done a better job, since schools take into consideration those evaluations. Not only did I miss the application deadline, I also had to re-order the report from another company. Things you need to know if you are considering using ECE: 1. When you sign in ECE asks you to write in every school you have attended. I advise you only write the schools for which you require evaluation. If you write all the schools, they will insist you pay for evaluations of all the schools you attended (several hundred dollars each), or the evaluation that they issue you for the school you actually request will say that you reported studies in another school but did not request an evaluation of it. This suggests you are hiding something. I do not see the legal basis for doing this but there you go. 2. In my case the ECE guidelines stated I could submit my transcript electronically. I did so, and several days later was told I was required to request a signed and sealed original because they didn't accept PDFs. I lost several days this way. 3. Their website says most reports are produced in 5 days. I $100 paid for rush service. It took more than 5 days. I tracked the document carefully. The Fedex arrived with them on Friday, on Monday afternoon I got an email saying they had opened the envelope. On Wednesday afternoon I was told the document was ready to be mailed. On Friday evening I received a Fedex alert that it had been mailed. read more

This company has no idea about educational systems in Europe. According to them my bachelor contract doesn't have a GPA that let me in to masters. Yet I received a doctorate with a GPA 4.0 from an American University. The translation of my degree gave me a title that is in a different field compared to the original degree in my country and their final report conclusion has contradictions to what they stated earlier in their report. The system they are using to 'transfer' the grades is not known before hand. However, the first thing you need to do is to send your credit card information. I have been trying to contact them for days, leaving messages, emails, and they refuse to get back to me to clear things out. I am currently still hanging on the line (after 20 minutes of annoying music) to contact the person who was in charge of my file. Because of this lack of customer support I have been missing important deadlines for applying jobs. This business isn't worth spending money on, especially not since these reports are suppose to be the start of securing your future in the US. Thumbs down all the way! read more

Terrible customer service. After using them for a transcript evaluation, it is safe to say I would never recommend them to anyone. Upon receiving my evaluation, which arrived a week later than they said it would, mind you, I noticed that they gave me an F on a class that I withdrew from, and it actually lowered my GPA according to their report. I called them about it, and after about two weeks of back and forth, the evaluator finally contacted me via email to say her report was accurate and therefore, no changes would be made. She said refunds were out of the question and to go through another company if I was not satisfied. Go through another company, I shall. I strongly recommend everyone else do the same. read more

Very disappointed. Just received my evaluation report back for a four years baccalaureate degree in optometry from India and the report came out as -study at an institution does not have any regional academic accreditation This is surprising because I have done evaluation on the same transcripts with these same people about twelve years ago and my degree was equivalent to a bachelors degree then.Unfortunately I do not have copy of my old report and had to order a new evaluation again. Since my reports were over 10 years old, I was unable to reorder old reports and had to get evaluated all over again (FYI- they do not keep reports that is older than 10 years). Sadly my overseas degree which was equivalent of bachelors 12 years ago is nothing now according to them. My advice to anyone that uses their service is -order and keep plenty of copies of your report as you cannot expect a consistent evaluation every time . There are hundreds of students who got admitted to masters in various US universities with this degree since 90's until today and I can provide solid proof for this.My question is - how can they get admitted into masters degree when the qualification is not even equivalent to Bachelors ? read more

I needed a document-by-document evaluation of a PhD certificate. WES's claim of 7 business days to complete an evaluation (after review) is misleading. To make a long story short, the process took 2 months!! WES received all appropriate documents from a 5* UK University the day after I made my application to WES. For 1 month, the status of my application was then under review. When I queried this, thinking it'd take 7 days, the assistant told me that a review period can take up to several months, it's the evaluation that takes 7 days. I then receive an email that my institution has not sent all the documents. Please note, this institution provided proof that they had initially sent ALL the documents required from WES, so it begs the question where the incompetence lies. 10 days later, the status is changed to evaluating, after 2 weeks the evaluation is completed, after 9 days postage from New York to Arizona, I receive the evaluation. FAILURES: 1. No transparency in the review process that keeps the client well informed The information regarding the exact steps and procedures of how WES is following up on your application is not detailed - simply writing under review and not detailing what part of this process you are in, is not good enough. If WES is really doing its job and following up your application, then they should have this information 2. Woeful assistance No reply can be made to their emails, creating no threads. Various people reply to your questions, most of the time giving very standardized answers. No-one understands the context of your questions, and sometimes the answers of 1 assistant contradicts that of another. The same can be said regarding the phone assistants, they know even less. This is scarily unprofessional! 3. Not timely WES's 7 days is misleading. Do not believe this. As you can see in my case, it took 2 weeks. I don't know how this company has operated for so long when they can't meet timelines. It took 2 months for a PhD certificate evaluation, there's no grades involved here. TO AVOID. This company have no idea about converting European Credits to US credits. Here is what they DON'T tell you before you apply and pay : after complaining about the way they "evaluated" my credits, they told me in an email in these exact words: "ECE uses a simple conversion of cutting all ECTS units in half to find the U.S. credit equivalent. This is because the ECTS system will give 60 units per year. The typical number of semester hours of credit in the U.S. for one year is 30. Therefore, it is easy to just divide ECTS credits in half. This is standard practice and applies to all European countries using the ECTS system". So if you studied in a European university, don't bother wondering what your equivalency is because this company will simply cut it in half and ask you $200 for doing this division that a 6 years old could do too. They don't put time or effort evaluating the courses. It's a real joke, not worth the money they ask for since they do absolutely NOTHING. I could have done it myself. They also gave a totally different title to the degree I've had, completely ignoring the specialization that I've had. It is a shame. Find another company to do your evaluation. read more

I have recently done the credential evaluation for my high school and bachelors degree and the result is bullshit. You can see 2 subjects I took same year with the same amount of credits and hours and the result is 2 different subjects with different amount of hours and credits one being longer than original and the other shorter. I got an extremely bad experience with them. Their evaluation is on time but I think their evaluator need more knowledge about foreign credentials. I got the wrong evaluation as paying $240 for nothing. their evaluation is a completely different result that I got from other evaluation agency. WILL NOT RECOMMEND. 1st submission, waited 7 months for them to respond after receiving the docs that they were not able to verify the diploma due to no response received from foreign institution. When i inquired - "how they inquired or contacted the institution" i was told they cannot share that info. Paid them to return the docs and re submitted to the our country Embassy, for them to return to the institution for apostille notarization . Spend a whole moth on that. Sent them back to ECE and again 6 months hold to get a response that they still not able to Verify. this is 2021 !!!! What is ECE using for verification, postal BIRDS? Four of my friends and I used ECE to evaluate our degrees in order to study in the US. Three of us had Bachelor degrees from Europe that were three years in length with all the same GPA's. One evaluation came back as equivalent to a US Bachelor degree and the other two were stated as being "three years of undergraduate study", with the evaluators saying that our degrees were not considered a Bachelor degree in the US because of the length of study. This meant that one of us got accepted to the course and two of us were denied entry to our courses, even though all of us had the same degree. This company is not consistent and does not use correct guidelines. They take an overwhelmingly long time to reply and they are impossible to deal with. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! read more

I wish there was another way to get my evaluation done. I had my accreditations done in 2016 without any problems and they still have it in their file saying documents were sent from the university. Now when I did the ECA they claim that the documents were not sent from the universities directly which is contradicting with their own statement. Note that they had no update on my file for several days until I called them and the requested an update. Now I spend more money & time requesting both my universities to send in the documents and after they received it, my file is still put on hold saying that they have to do a second step verification. They send my documents back to the university to confirm the authenticity of the document. I mean they are sending it back to the sender to confirm that the documents were sent from the sender !! I do not understand this! The whole process is now 4 months and my evaluation is still on hold! I understand the importance of confirming the authenticity of documents but one should also consider and value others time. The only possible way to communicate to them is through Emails which doesn't allow to attach any documents, and yes there is another way where you talk to a mediator who sends an Email to who knows where. I am really upset about the process they have in place and the way they take care of their customers, Looking at the previous reviews I seriously wish WES comes up with ways that would simplify their process and help the people in need. After all, if any company ruins their reputation they will definitely be replaced with another sooner or later. read more

Used ECE to evaluate my degree and transcripts from Indian university while applying for MBA in US. The whole process was very smooth. The website had clear instructions. Initially, I was skeptical of sending the original transcript for verification, but ECE communicated everything clearly and I received the originals and evaluation pretty quickly. Mediocre at best. The only reason I am giving 2 stars and not 1 is because the customer service is good. Also, the website is easy to navigate and the instructions are easy understand. Now, to the reason why ECE is incompetent. I graduated from Lebanon where the educational system is such that a bachelors degree is earned in 3 years instead of 4.The university which I graduated from is chartered by the board of regents of the university of the state of the state of New York. It is also accredited by New England Commission on Higher Education (NECHE). I have held several jobs in the US, and my degree has never been questioned. I received my review and I was horrified. It was their opinion that I have the equivalent of a three year education in the US. Meaning, they don't recognize my degree. They are of the belief that a bachelors can't be earned in three years. There is no warning on their website that they don't recognize three year degrees. I have since sent my degree to WES and have received an equivalence if a US bachelors degree and I'm moving on with my life. Moral of the story: DO NOT trust ECE to be fair if you went to school in a country where bachelors are earned in 3 years. Go with WES. read more

I am pleased by the way they evaluated my Bachelor's Degree Transcript from India. There was one small mistake: Instead of RF (Radio Frequency ) and Microwave engineering, they expanded it as Refrigeration and Microwave Engineering. I don't think makes a big difference for me because I'm changing fields. I would have been happier to have expanded all my abbreviated courses if had known it beforehand. I also sent a copy of my syllabus to expedite the process. Overall they were responsive, their website is user-friendly, their service was excellent. If not for that one mistake I would have definitely given them 5 stars. I have ordered for extra copies of my transcript today. I will update on it later. read more

I ordered course by course report and ask them to send to ADEA CAAPID online application which will help me to apply to different university. when I applied to Rutgers school of dental medicine via ADEA CAAPID. The school reported about my course by course report, the report was not evaluated course by course instead they just grade the course. I did online inquiry with someone in ECE website and ask about report, after checking the report he replied me that though, asked for course by course report, the report does not contain course by course evaluations. How can be ECE so careless and irresponsible? ECE took money but did not work properly. Universities in United States should stop recommending ECE evaluation. read more

ECE doesn't have a fair equivalence system in place. They have their own internal rating system that isn't based on the ISCED/International regulations. My five years of university are defined as a level 7 from ISCED classification (Master level). ECE equivalence was reporting an Associate degree only. I was shocked! After sending them all the proof and official documentations they didn't want to correct their equivalence report. I asked and received a full refund. It's a reasonably fast and reliable service albeit the evaluators are so fixated on their own outdated standards and their box that they fail to recognize the uniqueness of each individual. with regular mindset that if you don't have a degree from states you don't have a degree at all and they are doing you a favor !!! for my bachelor I went to India and signed with one of the reputable university there, It was a 3 year program ( that's how it is there and in many countries unless its engineering ) and I graduated first class. they evaluated my degree as 3 year undergraduate which is basically useless after asking for reevaluation they responded we will consider 3 year to be 3 years regardless of whether you graduated or the rank of university or your credits and the fact that in all honestly the program was so compressed and literally there was no brake between semesters and that it took me more to catch up. BTW they won't tell you this otherwise they will loose a large number of their clients. so do yourself a favor and stay away. Bite the bullet and go with WES and do the hoop jumps at least they will consider these factors. They are not professional. They asked a word-to-word translation. A professional would know that a word-to-word translation doesn't make sense. This is not how languages work. If you don't know the language, even a word-to-word translation won't help you. This was a disqualifying factor for me: if you cannot read my diploma, I cannot trust you evaluating it.
