We're in the process of having a kitchen and bathroom floor done by Ed's. The first day the installer showed up with only part of the materials. He installed the kitchen flooring into the bathroom. When he realized mistake, he took it up. He was done by late morning. He had some of the kitchen floor but not enough to do the whole kitchen. He didn't have any of the material to do the bathroom floor. So he left for the day. He wasn't sure of all the material had come into the storehouse or not Since it was only half a day at the house, I would have expected him to go back to the store to see if the material was in the storehouse . Maybe even return to get some of the flooring done on Friday. We had the plumber come in that morning to removed the toilet , they were scheduled to return in the afternoon to reinstall the toilet.We had to call and cancel him and tentatively reschedule him for Monday. Since it was a Friday, we had all of our kitchen and bathroom closet items stored in our living room for the weekend. Sunday, the installer did show up and correctly put in the bathroom floor and started the kitchen floor. Our bathroom floor is the vinyl that looks like stone and it's a grey tone. They installed a bright white molding around the flooring. It clashes and looks awful. The strip they put between the bathroom and the hallway door matches perfectly . When we requested the white molding be taken out and replaced some that matched the floor like the color of the strip in the doorway. We were told they would look around around and see if they had anything in the warehouse, I am sure that they're not going to find anything just hanging around the warehouse. If they don't have anything, they would have try to find something matching, and it would cost us extra. When we hired them to install the floor we assumed that it would be done with matching materials. Now we're being told we have to pay extra. Since we did not get a discount on the floor or a sale or anything else, I don't feel we should have to pay another cent to have the floor install correctly with matching materials . That's a discussion. we have to have later today with the manager. It's noon time Monday and they may have to come back another day to finish the floor. We told them we needed it done before Tuesday because we were having company on Tuesday. We assumed most of the work would have been done on Friday and just finishing touches on Monday. I won't know until I get home from work if they've completed the installation. I wished I had read some of the reviews , which had several negative comments about the installation. Of flooring they did. Overall, I'm just not pleased with the service , the installation or the communication I'll have to wait to see how this gets resolved but I would never recommend them or have them again. read more

They have hired a company called Dynamic Home solutions from Conneticut...They Hire 3rd and 4th party sub Contractors that are usually from Brazil/mexico etc...stay local...Eds is no different than Lowes or home depot now read more

Today I had a luxury vinyl plank floor installed. Ed's installers were on time, worked nonstop, did a great job and thoroughly cleaned up. Additionally, it was comforting when Ed himself came to measure before placing the order. I felt the install would go well and it surely did. I highly recommend this company. read more

Wanted to give my business to a local business . Paid in full and was told 5-6 weeks - it ended up being 8. Then the finishing on the project was horrendous . Shared my concerns and 2 weeks later I'm still waiting for issues to be fixed ... no apologies .. and I can't get into my storage space as the installer nailed it shut with quarter round . Talk about mis-measurements and sloppy work . Never mind that he left small nails on stairs for my puppy to eat . read more

We decided to redo or master bathroom as a DIY. Ed's team was extremely helpul in all aspects. I was able to get all the materials to build a waterproof shower, grout, cement etc. Val worked up a materials list and placed the orders. Everything I needed was there from the get-go. As I proceeded through the project I eventually needed a few other misc supplies. Ed's was able to get them is quick order. Even during the Covid-19 experience when some items were in short supply Ed's team was able to locate what I needed. They are all very knowledgable and helpful for DIY as well as contractors. I had Chris, James and Justin working I my craft room. I had an old buckled rug in there when I moved in. I chose laminate for the room seeing as it's in a room that won't be used heavily. Chris came on the first day and tore up most of the rug and had it all rolled up ready to get rid of the next day. Justin and James joined him the next day and completed the job. The floor looks great and I have no issues at all. They worked hard and they completed the job quicker than I expected! read more

The sales rep, Valerie, was outstanding...went above and beyond to meet my needs. ED 's initial home visit / assessment was much appreciated. Jacob , manager of the installation dept, was most accommodating and responsive to my requests. The 1000 sq ft of luxury vinyl plank looks fabulous! For all of the above, this company is a five star and I would highly recommend! The one concern involved the sub contractor who did the actual install. The condition of the flooring once installed had multiple areas of some gooey residue apparently from knee pads. A quality control check prior to leaving the job would have identified this issue. The problem was addressed by Jacob with the sub-contractor and was resolved on a return trip to remove the substance...to my satisfaction. I would definitely do business with from this top-rated company again. Great staff, great products, great customer service. read more

Beware! Save yourself time / aggravation / frustration / hassle by going with another company. Ed's Flooring lack of professionalism along with their lack of communication was astounding. It is unfortunate as they are a local area business and I would have liked to continue supporting. However, I've completely lost faith in Ed's Flooring after this experience and hope others do their homework before becoming a customer. It seems this is not an isolated experience with Ed's Flooring America. Pre-payment requirement: Ed's Flooring America took full payment up front on Oct 2nd. The up front full payment requirement should have raised some early warning flags. Explicitly discussed and added into the contract that all work was to be performed by Nov 1st. The new flooring ( tile and wood ) was being installed in a rental property with tenants arriving the first of November. Delayed Scheduling: After 3 weeks of zero activity, the installation coordinator ( Jacob ) finally scheduled the carpet / tile removal work to start on Monday Oct 23rd. The new tile installation work was to begin Wednesday Oct 25th and was expected to take 3 days. The wood flooring was set to begin Friday Oct 27th. Sloppy Workmanship: I showed up at the property on Friday Oct 27th to find the tile installer had completed his work, but dumped leftover grout/mortar mix into one of tubs (https://goo.gl/CPKdB3). The mix had started to set and needed to be scraped out with a putty knife. With 2 completely functional sinks at the property it is unclear why the installer used the tub or how he possibly thought it was acceptable to leave a customer's property in this condition. Failure to show up / Zero Communication: I received a call the morning of Friday Oct 27th from Jacob confirming the wood installer would arrive between 1-2PM. The wood installers failed to show up by 4:30PM, so I began to try and reach Jacob. Unsuccessful, I tried to reach *anyone* at Ed's Flooring who could help me find out the status of the wood delivery/install. Apparently, Jacob was out of the area and also the only employee who was capable of accessing schedules and installer info. I left the property at 6PM with Ed's Flooring failing to show up for an appointment they had confirmed earlier that same day. There was not a single communication or phone call from Ed's Flooring indicating they were delayed or would not be arriving. Unprofessionalism: Headed to Ed's Flooring Warehouse in Plaistow first thing Saturday morning Oct 28th to find out what happened. Received a text at 9:34AM while in the parking lot from Ed's Flooring contractor Mike who stated he was 15mins from property. The property is located ~40 miles from Plaistow, NH. I informed Mike the earliest I could get down there was 11:00AM and I had received no advanced communication/notice he was heading to the property. Mike stated he was simply driving back to the warehouse. Spoke to Ed's Flooring Warehouse employee Ryan whose unhelpful response was 'Do you deal with contractors much?'. This was apparently Ryan's attempt to justify his company's failure to show up to a confirmed appointment combined with their lack of any basic communication out to the customer. This statement along with the attitude of Ed's Flooring contractor Mike speaks volumes to how they conduct business. Apparently, others have encountered Mike's professionalism as well it seems - ( quick Google Search turned up references to him on RipoffReport under Narrow Gate Flooring ) While there were some bright spots with specific staff members, the overall experience was terrible and you can certainly find a more professional company who does not struggle with scheduling, basic communication, and workmanship issues. read more

We went to Ed's Flooring because it was local and had the products that we needed to update our 28 year old flooring and counter tops. They sub out the countertops, so we had to go to other suppliers who were good. Flooring was another matter. After selecting rugs, hardwood and tile, from a friendly sales person, Ed came to our house to measure everything. We paid 1/2 down to order and the rest after the work was complete. Leftovers from the rug and hardwood flooring were reasonable, but the tile work was overestimated by at least 30%, Leftover tile was not returnable, so we have enough to do at least another room. The rug installers were good, but the tile and hardwood installers left something to be desired. The tile has high spots around the edges and the grouting is below the edges of the tile. The hardwood installer did not have the tools necessary when he arrived and had to go back to Ed's for them or borrow them from me. Very unprofessional. We do not recommend Ed's Flooring read more

Do not bother with this place. I was a previous customer who purchased a lot of product from them back in 2010. I called them based on that experience. I don't know what has happened to them now. Customer sevice is beyond terrible and extremely unresponsive. In addition, they expect 100% payment weeks in advance of installation. This and their horrible customer service prompted me to look elsewhere. Come to find out they were overpriced too in comparison with other local businesses. I've taken my business elsewhere.
