They were amazing and I am so happy with the work. My family room is beautiful! They did what we wanted at a price better than quoted by competitors, they've been super responsive when we had questions and patient when we took some time to figure things out or when life was so busy we didn't see emails from them. The installers were on time and completed the work in one day instead of two and on top of that they were incredibly kind to my dog. He loved them!

We're in the process of having a kitchen and bathroom floor done by Ed's. The first day the…read moreinstaller showed up with only part of the materials. He installed the kitchen flooring into the bathroom. When he realized mistake, he took it up. He was done by late morning. He had some of the kitchen floor but not enough to do the whole kitchen. He didn't have any of the material to do the bathroom floor. So he left for the day. He wasn't sure of all the material had come into the storehouse or not Since it was only half a day at the house, I would have expected him to go back to the store to see if the material was in the storehouse . Maybe even return to get some of the flooring done on Friday. We had the plumber come in that morning to removed the toilet , they were scheduled to return in the afternoon to reinstall the toilet.We had to call and cancel him and tentatively reschedule him for Monday. Since it was a Friday, we had all of our kitchen and bathroom closet items stored in our living room for the weekend. Sunday, the installer did show up and correctly put in the bathroom floor and started the kitchen floor. Our bathroom floor is the vinyl that looks like stone and it's a grey tone. They installed a bright white molding around the flooring. It clashes and looks awful. The strip they put between the bathroom and the hallway door matches perfectly . When we requested the white molding be taken out and replaced some that matched the floor like the color of the strip in the doorway. We were told they would look around around and see if they had anything in the warehouse, I am sure that they're not going to find anything just hanging around the warehouse. If they don't have anything, they would have try to find something matching, and it would cost us extra. When we hired them to install the floor we assumed that it would be done with matching materials. Now we're being told we have to pay extra. Since we did not get a discount on the floor or a sale or anything else, I don't feel we should have to pay another cent to have the floor install correctly with matching materials . That's a discussion. we have to have later today with the manager. It's noon time Monday and they may have to come back another day to finish the floor. We told them we needed it done before Tuesday because we were having company on Tuesday. We assumed most of the work would have been done on Friday and just finishing touches on Monday. I won't know until I get home from work if they've completed the installation. I wished I had read some of the reviews , which had several negative comments about the installation. Of flooring they did. Overall, I'm just not pleased with the service , the installation or the communication I'll have to wait to see how this gets resolved but I would never recommend them or have them again.

Manchester Wood Floors refinished the pine floors that were underneath carpet on the second floor…read moreof our older home, some of which were covered with paint and some were not. Overall we are happy with the work they did, but we won't be hiring them to refinish the first floor of our home. While they did a couple of things that we really appreciated, they also cut a few corners in our opinion. Cons: They hand scraped some areas after sanding, but did not sand the hand-scraped areas afterward so they are very rough when walking on them. Also, there are many areas where the paint was not fully removed. Because of their work schedule, once they started the job we did not see it until it was finished (ie we did not have an opportunity to look everything over after they sanded/before they applied poly and the floors were wet, even though someone was home at the time). If they had told us that there were areas where the paint was difficult to remove, we would have worked on it with a heat gun in the evening after they were gone because we really wanted all the paint gone. Pros: First, we had a closet transition that had a lot of damage, and they cut down the original piece of wood so that it would match. It looks good, much better than a new piece of wood would look. Second, at the time of the estimate he let me know that our stairs were likely poplar, a wood that looks green when it is unstained and finished with poly. One of us stayed home for the first couple of days of the job so that we could look at the stairs after they sanded them, and they were green like he said. They provided a number of stain colors so we could pick out which one we liked, and then they applied the stain to the stair treads. However, this one also involved a cut corner because they did not stain the top tread at the landing and had to re-do it afterward. It doesn't look the same as the others.

It has now been over a month, and we still have not received our money back, nor have we received any meaningful communication or updates from them. The lack of professionalism and accountability has been unbelievable. At this point, we cannot recommend this company to anyone.
