3 piece fish and 6 shrimp meal with onion rings/ burrito on the side

Wow this place is a must try , put this place on your list to try when you visit Arizona. Joscelyn was so nice and friendly but most importantly helpful during our order.

    Shrimp and Chips

My Husband and I have been trying new restaurants all over the West Valley. Tonight we tried Ed's Fish and Chips and we were so impressed! You can literally smell the food cooking when you walk in and the restaurant is very clean. We ordered the 10 piece and 7 piece shrimp and chips. We also tried the fried zucchini which was fresh and delicious! The owner Mark told us that the shrimp is breaded fresh daily. Mark also told us that the restaurant has been there for 40 years but that he just took it over last July. The shrimp had great flavor and it tasted fresh not frozen. The french fries were cooked perfectly. The staff is very friendly and the owner Mark was very welcoming. We usually eat everything on site but tonight we came home with some food. The portions are generous. Well worth the drive from Glendale or anywhere in the valley. We cannot wait to go back next Friday. We will be trying the catfish next. We highly recommend this place. Follow them on Instagram.

    This is the dinner.

The pictures truly don't do the food justice -- the flavors, portions, and presentation were even better in person. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, with screens throughout the entire space, making it a perfect spot to catch a game or enjoy a sports event with friends and family. What really stood out, though, wasn't just the food or the atmosphere -- it was the incredible customer service. Even though the restaurant was completely packed, the staff made us feel like we were their only table. They were attentive, friendly, and consistently checked in on us throughout our visit. When the manager found out it was our first time there, he personally came over to welcome us, gave us coupons for a future visit, and made sure we felt appreciated. That extra touch truly made an impression. It's rare to find a busy restaurant where the team still takes the time to make every guest feel valued, and Bubba's 33 absolutely delivered. The customer service was top-notch and really set this experience apart. We'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. Now I have the time since I won't be able to eat the rest of my food. I ordered over the phone and was told the food would take 15 minutes. I ordered 5 pieces of the Fish Fry and double fries and my girlfriend got the Hatch Chili Burger and upgraded to Sweet Potato fries for $2+ dollars. I live 2 minutes away down the street. I left 20 minutes after my order was made. When I get there I tell the cashier I have a to-go order and he has me pay. After I finish paying, he walks away without saying a word to me and starts sweeping the floor. I just wait and we make eye contact multiple times and he doesn't say anything. I assumed my food was ready because it had already been 25 minutes since I ordered. I realized maybe it's not ready, my mistake, I sit down in the table near the counter. He's watching me sit down and the literal exact moment I sit down he yells out that my order is ready. And when I get up to go get it, that's when he starts putting it in the bag. He doesn't go to the kitchen or anything so I don't know if my order was just sitting there this whole time and he was just waiting for me to sit down for some reason? I'm in no rush so I don't care its been 35 minutes at this point so I give him the benefit of the doubt still, and move on. Stacks the tartar sauce as he's trying to put everything in the bag and the stack falls over and a sauce falls on the floor. He looks at me and looks at the floor then he looks around the sauce drawer and puts another 3rd sauce which I assumed was another tartar sauce. It ended up being ranch. I wouldn't have cared if he just told me that he was out of tartar sauce but I guess trying to deceive me with ranch is a better option. At this point I would've still given a 4 STAR or even 5 STAR review if the food held up because it's a local business and I don't want some weird bald guy deter people from good food. After my 2 minute drive home we opened our containers that held extremely soggy and half cold sweet potato fries. I ordered double fries with my fish so my pile of fries were double soggy and partly cold too. I ate 2 pieces of Fish Fry and they were alright. I would've ordered them again and I was excited because I had a huge piece of fish fry I was going to have next. However I realized it was 2 pieces of fish fry stuck together causing the stuck sides to be soggy and have semi uncooked breading. The biggest piece I was excited for was the biggest disappointment. The only saving grace was the Hatch Chili Burger. The beef patties were soft and cooked well, unlike the last 3 pieces of fish fry. We spent $40 dollars on the entire thing. And we only ate the burger and 2 fish from the meals. Super convenient location for food that I will be completely avoiding in the future. TLDR: Bad service if bald guy is there. Was told 15 minutes but food took around 30-35 minutes. Let's you guess if your food is ready or not after he has you pay. Waits for you to sit down to tell you it's ready when it was possibly just sitting infront of him. Drops tartar sauce and tries to sneak ranch instead of just telling me that he can't/doesn't wanna replace it. Get home, half of order is soggy&cold. ALL fries including upcharged fries were soggy. Only Hatch Chili Burger was good. SPENT $40 and it was 2 meals that were less than mediocre overall. Normally I can ignore most bad service/attitudes but this dude sucked and doesn't like to communicate with customers. Below are photos of what I thought was a "big piece" of fish fry flipped around and then after I separate the two pieces.

A Taste of the Bayou Right Here!…read more Walking into Flavors of Louisiana feels like stepping straight into the heart of the South--where the spices are bold, the portions are generous, and every bite carries a story. From the moment I sat down, the warm hospitality made me feel like family, and the aroma of Cajun spices drifting from the kitchen let me know I was in for something special. The Food The star of the show is undeniably the seafood dishes. The crawfish étouffée was rich and velvety, with layers of flavor that only true Louisiana cooking can capture. The seasoning was spot-on--bold without being overpowering, spicy but balanced. The fried catfish was golden perfection: crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. And don't get me started on the gumbo--hearty, smoky, and brimming with soul. Every side dish felt like comfort food elevated. The hush puppies were crisp little bites of heaven, and the dirty rice was so flavorful it could have been a meal on its own. The Experience What I loved most was the authenticity. Nothing felt watered down or rushed--it was food made with love, patience, and pride. The staff checked in often, always with a smile, and you could tell they genuinely cared that you enjoyed not just your meal, but your entire experience. Final Thoughts Flavors of Louisiana isn't just a restaurant--it's an experience. It's the kind of place you come to when you want food that warms your soul and reminds you what real flavor is supposed to taste like. If you've never had authentic Cajun or Creole cooking before, this is the perfect place to start. And if you already love Louisiana cuisine, you'll feel right at home. Authentic. Flavorful. Unforgettable!

Her ID had a small dent in it -- still clearly valid -- and instead of handling the situation appropriately, the security guard snapped her ID leaving it almost completely in half. Destroyed it. Then turned her away. That is not only disrespectful, it's completely out of line. Security's job is to verify IDs, not damage personal property. There are proper procedures for questionable IDs, and this was NOT one of them. No apology, no attempt to resolve the situation -- just unnecessary force and a complete lack of basic respect. If this is how they treat people at the door, I can't imagine how the rest of the establishment operates. I would strongly recommend going somewhere else where staff know how to handle situations professionally. I'm just curious - is the security guard now going to pay for her new ID?? This is OUTLANDISH behavior coming from a plain old Jane of a security guard. Clearly he didn't make the cut at the police academy...
