So happy we found Edri Construction to do a few major exterior repairs on our house. I'd met with two other companies prior to contacting Edri--one declined the job, and another ghosted me. I left either a voicemail or a message on Edri's website (can't remember) and they called me back the same day and our Project Manager, Isaac, came out soon thereafter to check things out and start the estimate process. Isaac gave me the estimate exactly when he said they would, and at this point I had a feeling we would be in good hands because the communication and follow-up were all on point. Our house needed new fascia and soffits and a new balcony cap, and after seeing a few houses with natural wood soffits, I wanted to change the plan from matching the existing painted soffits. This was no problem for Edri and they helped select a beautiful cedar wood and brought the vision to life. The work went pretty much as planned with some minor delays for expected things--weather, etc. No nightmares where the work gets behind and you have no idea when it will be done. Communication was so great and everyone who worked on our house was professional and friendly. They even arranged to take their lunch breaks when our kid had her nap. Isaac would come out at the end of major milestones to inspect the work with me and make sure I was happy. Minor issues I found were addressed with no hassle. We were so happy working with Isaac and the crew that we asked them if they could add on several additional projects, which they happily did. The quality of the work is very good, and we have gotten compliments from many neighbors. I could not be happier with how it turned out myself. Thank you, Isaac and crew! read more

We engaged with Edri construction to perform a remodel of our small kitchen in a 1925 San Francisco Fourplex. I would consider this a challenging project as we had limited space to work with and wanted to build in more counter/cabinet space while also adding in a dishwasher and replacing other appliances. This required new electrical and plumbing. The team was unfazed by the scope and was ready to start following week. From the outset, the process was highly organized making decisions simple and hands-off as possible for us. They immediately sought out all required permits while keeping us informed on the important details only and handling all the permitting minutia themselves. David and his team completed every aspect of the job with pride and precision. The team were true masters in their trades and completed all parts of the job from plumbing electrical drywall appliance installation tiling - everything from start to finish. They were also friendly and took extreme care to protect all common areas. The kitchen came out great with any instance where we had a follow up adjustment, they always took the time to fix it until we were happy. Communication was outstanding. On top of everything else, each interaction with this company was an absolute pleasure. Everyone who worked on our kitchen obviously took tremendous pride in their work from demolition to completion. We Would highly recommend Edri Constucion for a top-notch kitchen remodel. read more

Five stars for Edri Construction! We live in a 1942 home in SF and were dealing with a foundation that leaked every time it rained. I showed the issue to the owner, and instead of a high-pressure pitch, he gave us several honest options to fix it. I'll admit I was dreading the concrete work--I expected a massive, dusty headache. However, the crew was incredible. They made the entire process as smooth as possible and were extremely clean and respectful of our space while they worked. They actually finished the project right on time, which is rare these days! Pricing was fair and transparent, with no surprises. As you can see from the before and after photos, the transformation is amazing. What used to be a leaky problem area is now a gorgeous media room that we love spending time in. If you want a contractor who is clear, honest, and does high-quality work, call these guys. I definitely will be using them again. read more

I am very pleased to share our very positive experience with Edri Construction for their recent remodel of my kitchen, living room, and half bathroom. From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, they were a dream to work with. When I first met Avi Edri, it was clear that he had the experience to pragmatically elevate our space in a style that matched our requirements. I appreciated the cost saving moves he proposed, which were unprompted. The entire team was incredibly friendly and approachable. They made the entire process so much less stressful with their positive attitudes and willingness to answer all my (many!) questions. Beyond their friendliness, their attention to detail was truly exceptional. They didn't miss a single thing, and the quality of their workmanship is outstanding. Every little detail, from the demo work to managing aspects of the appliance logistics to the cabinet installation, was executed well. They were always accessible, whether by phone, email, or in person. Niv kept me updated on the progress of the project every step of the way, and addressed any potential concerns. I never felt left in the dark, and they were always quick to respond to my inquiries. Perhaps most importantly, I felt I could completely trust Edri Construction. They were honest, transparent, and respectful of my home. They delivered on their promises and went above and beyond to ensure my complete satisfaction. They clearly take pride in their work, and it shows. My newly remodeled spaces are beautiful, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I wholeheartedly recommend Edri Construction to anyone considering a home renovation. They are an exceptional company, and I plan to hire them again for my future projects. Thank you, Edri Construction, for making my home renovation dreams a reality! read more

Great installation job on my skylights and they underbid the competitors by a lot. Thanks guys!

We picked Edri to do a complete remodel of a condo we bought in SF which sits in a high rise. Hardwood flooring, new kitchen, bathroom, new door frames and doors etc. We were under a very tight time constraint since we had someone moving in within 6 weeks. We were impressed by Edri's reviews and our initial meeting with Isaac. They had plenty of experience dealing with challenging HOA restrictions and executing on schedule. Isaac, Pablo and the crew jumped in to the project as soon as we got the HOA approval and carved out a detailed plan with dates. They sent frequent updates on the material selection, day to day progress with pictures. We passed our final inspection today and very happy with the work quality. Highly recommend. read more

We are currently paying more than $5000.00 to repair the shower this company rebuilt, due to a leaky drain-which means the originally build rushed the test to be sure the drain wouldn't leak. We are so lucky we saw the leak before there was structural damage. We cannot ask this company to fix their mistake, because we don't trust them. We are finding all kinds of cover ups (for example glue used to adhere a cover on the brace for the shower glass to make it look like it's screwed in place). We had to rebuild the faucet mount in the kitchen, and the second bathroom shower is so poorly constructed water pools in places and we have to manually guide it to the drain. read more

Jonathan is a great project manager--not just a sales guy. He's knowledgeable and offered thoughtful solutions for my sloped backyard, including retaining walls and decks. He clearly explained the pros and cons, and more importantly, considered time, cost, and what the customer truly wants. He's also very familiar with city inspections. Jonathan was patient and walked me through every detail--even before any contract was signed. There was no hard selling at all. He visited my house twice just to help me figure out what best fit my needs. The proposal he sent me was the most professional contract I've ever seen--detailed, clear, and well-structured. Robbie also followed up and kept his word, calling me back two weeks later to continue the conversation. read more

The team at Edri did a full interior remodel of our 3BD/3BA 2,000 sq ft home last year. We worked closely with Isaac, our project lead, on detailed plans for the remodel. Isaac had many helpful suggestions on how to further improve our design ideas and make our space truly more usable. Isaac kept this complex project on-track and on-time (even when we hit issues with the materials supply chain), and we are delighted with the finished result! It was such a great experience that we are actually going to be working with Edri again on our next big project: redoing multiple exterior decks. Our relationship with Isaac and the Edri team is much more than a business one, we have all become good friends in the process. We look forward to doing more projects together in the future. read more

We worked with Avi from Edri Construction for a significant home expansion, and have to say we're really happy with how our house turned out. Overall, very impressed with their ability to stick to a tight schedule and really grateful they made sure to minimize disruption to our daily lives. The quality of their workmanship and their problem-solving skills were invaluable. When unforeseen issues surfaced, they tackled them with efficiency and expertise, keeping us informed every step of the way. Isaac and his team did a wonderful job renovating our downstairs bathroom. His idea to swap the positions of the toilet and the shower really opened up the space and made our small bathroom feel much larger and more functional. He was sensitive to our timeline and his team worked tirelessly days, nights, and sometimes weekends to meet our goal. Whenever we had issues or questions, Isaac was available to chat or send someone over to check it out. We've received several compliments from guests on how great the bathroom looks. We are extremely happy with our bathroom and it was a pleasure working with Isaac and everybody on the Edri team. read more

We hired Edri to do a complete remodel of our Primary Bathroom with one catch: I was 6.5 months pregnant with twins and we needed it done before I gave birth. Edri said they could handle it and we're true to their word. Someone was there, moving things forward, nearly every day. We even made some last minute additions to the plans (heated floor and towel rack) and they were able to accommodate us and still finish before the deadline. I didn't love their design person's communication style, but found out that person is no longer with the company, so I sense it wasn't a fit with their very transparent approach. Overall, I'd recommend! read more

EDRI Construction just completed a smaller project for us for a house on Corinthian Island. Limited parking, limited space, tons of steps, the EDRI team adapted easily. Best construction we've worked with. They were timely with all parts of the construction, respectful of our space, and very communicative all throughout the process. They took on a large project of taking our basement and turning it into another living area, bedroom, and moved the laundry room. Isaac was an extremely helpful and knowledgeable contractor. We are so happy with the results! And they did it in time of arrival of our baby! Can't recommend Edri enough! Big thank you to Isaac and the whole team! read more

After five years in my condo, I decided to remodel my tiny and impractical kitchen. I consulted 5 different companies. Everyone gave roughly the same estimates. I chose Edri after meeting a few times with Isaac, who was the project manager. Isaac quickly grasped what I needed, had great initial suggestions about layout and options for scope of the project. I really liked his attitude and his attention to detail. He presented a detailed estimate for work and delivery date, which we stuck to. I greatly appreciated that he managed everything so well: permits, different vendors, architect, structural engineer and cabinet designers. It was like a one-stop shop. Every construction worker that came over for different stages of the project were experts in what they were doing. The work was thorough and of great quality. I have seen some projects with shoddy craftsmanship and that was one of my fears, but all the work they did was impeccable. They were also very mindful of protecting my floors and surfaces. Isaac often gave me updates and sent me pictures when I was out of town. I ended up wanting some extra work and he priced it quickly and we were able to fit it in and stay within our planned delivery date. My new kitchen has completely transformed my living space. I finally have the kitchen of my dreams. I've already been asked by three people who was my contractor. :) read more

We hired Edri Construction for a full kitchen renovation in our San Francisco home. As first-time homeowners, we were very careful in selecting the right contractor, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. Avi and his team are true professionals with deep expertise. I hired Edri Construction shortly after buying my house to do a complete bathroom renovation, new roof, all new windows, electric and some miscellaneous other things. Issac was my project lead. Overall I had a really good experience. Below are some highlights and things they could work on. Positives: very responsive, quick to get a quote, the permit process took the expected amount of time, the project finished within the estimated time frame, any issues that arised were promptly taken care of. One of Issac's favorite sayings was "I'll take care of it". They are a company that really cares about the work they do, so if you aren't satisfied they will fix it/if an error is made they own up to it. The finished product came out great. Things to improve: better communication in terms of extra costs for things: the reno came in way over budget, when quoting pricing, finished materials may not be included in the estimate but there should be a conversation at the start for how much finished materials that will be provided by the contractor (like a glass shower door) will cost. And when you provide a quote for the roof replacement you should do a thorough inspection beforehand so the price does not increase by $10000 when it is discovered the plywood needs to be replaced. The main issue, however was lack of oversight, I liked Issac but oversight was lacking. Each homeowner is different but I like detailed updates and to know that the work being done is being inspected for quality at all phases of completion. My main issue was the window install; they hired a company to put in the windows and on install day there was no oversight. The windows were poorly installed and had I not been there on that day to take pictures before everything was covered with tacky plastic strips, I don't think it would have been addressed. Another example was I asked if all of the knob and tube electric wiring was removed, I was told yes but when I went to look it was still there in multiple places. All that to say, I think this is a solid company that cares about customer service. Some things could have been done better along the way but the final product was good. read more

Isaac and Avi were awesome. During demolition to paint to fixtures there was constant communication. They're down to earth. No question is a dumb question for them. The whole staff was incredible. They were respectful of our property. Everything was by the book. Parking is hard to find. I've had workers block the garage by parking in front. The guy who came out to the home seemed kind of rude and like he didn't want to talk to me? It was difficult to talk to him about the issues with my home and what I needed. Then he said the repairs would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, easily. I messaged someone else from the company in order to draw up plans for a foundation repair to get a better understanding of the costs involved and the work that is needed, but they never got back to me. I kind of feel like I'm not worth their time? I would not contact these guys for any future projects on my home. They seem difficult to work with. read more

We had a visit today from Edri Construction. Our concern was with foundation and walls. During scheduling, I had a lot of questions and Avi was very patient and took time making sure I understood. On the day of appointment, I received a notification ahead of time that person will be few minutes delayed - it was very helpful to adjust my schedule. They took care to cover and move furniture around and everything was picked up and/or hauled away! A friend of ours who is an architect recommended Edri to us and we are so glad she did. Edri completed our kitchen/living/dining room, powder room, and back yard renovation and did a fabulous job! David was our project manager and he is the best. Our project was structurally complex and involved knocking down multiple walls, but Edri knew exactly how to approach this and it was clear they were experts at executing structural work in San Francisco homes. We actually lived in our home during the renovation and they were so considerate and accommodating of that, always cleaning up and keeping things livable for us. I will admit to being so picky with a million questions and the Edri team always answered all of my questions/made sure we were completely satisfied with everything. They're fabulous and we would recommend them to anyone and everyone in a heartbeat. We actually hope to do a bit more work on our house and are already looking forward to working with them again. read more

David and the entire Edri team were great during the whole process. We set out with a plan and they were able to make it happen for us! They turned our jungle of a backyard into a peaceful oasis, our 1990s powder room into the present, and our living/dining/kitchen space with an absurd number of walls into an open and beautiful concept with a very logical flow. David was our Project Lead and is family to us now. To add stress during a renovation, we decided to live in the house with our 2-year old and another on the way. David made this possible and his team was clean and respectful of the house each and every day. We then had our child earlier than anyone could plan for, in the middle of construction, and David continued to step up and make our lives stress-free while everything was going on. All in all, they are great. The craftsmanship was top notch and they were more than happy to adjust to our crazy and frequent changes along the way. They treat you like family and the work speaks for itself. We can't wait to work with Edri again on our next project! read more

Avi and the rest of the Edri team are simply amazing. We were coming from a really bad experience with another contractor and they took care of everything. To put things in perspective, the previous contractor was trying to increase scope and charge us more and more while doing a really terrible job. Avi and team gave me a very reasonable price, the took care of the permits, plans and everything and during the whole duration of the project, they never increased the scope on 1 dollar. All inspections were passed, job was finished in time and the whole experience was really good, for reference, we did a full basement conversion that looks even more amazing than upstairs. Overall, very recommended, if you need any other info, ping me here and I can send you some pictures of the finished job. read more

Do not use this company! Individual arrived and started with all the areas In my condo that would not pass SF Citi my inspection. Advised him that my building was less than twenty plus years and he continued to point out areas. I felt like he was trying to gauge and inflate the quotation and this was after four other contractors advised against his advise!! Be very careful with this company. Thanks for your clarification. However, myself and my HOA definitely are not Interested in cutting any corners and following not only city Inspections guidelines. My concern was this Individual took the liberty to start calling out other ideas / plans that seemed very inappropriate and did not apply to a walk-in shower only Install. My Impression was to expand the plans of my project which is not something I am Interested in doing. Thanks for the comments. read more

EDRI construction did a fairly complex ground floor seismic retrofit to a three story mixed-use building I manage in Oakland. It involved a lot of foundation and other structural work with some basic interior finish work as well as some work on the exterior wood sheathing and an exterior wood stair. There was some minor electrical and plumbing work involved as well. I worked primarily with David. He was easy to work with, communicative, responsive, conscientious and is a generally good guy. He got the job done to our satisfaction with minimal disruption. Part of the job involved meeting a critical deadline, which EDRI did. However, some of the work that was not as critical took considerably longer than we anticipated. As with any job there were some oversights and mistakes. But David always made sure they were corrected in a timely, professional manner. We also had a few issues with some of the finish work and clean up. But again, David took care of that. One thing I did find lacking--and I'm saying this hoping it will be used as constructive criticism--is ERDIs coordination and oversight of the various trades on the job. A couple of things stand out. In one case the drywall installer buried an electrical service panel in the wall. In another instance, electrical outlets were removed during demolition but no one coordinated their reinstallation with the electrician. The same thing with a door that was removed to build a shear wall. When that work was completed, the door was not put back. We were able to catch these things and other oversights and David always made sure they were corrected. But they could have been avoided with more careful coordination and supervision. In the future, if ERDI would pay more attention to this, they will be top notch and get a five star rating from me, because in the end they did good work in a fairly timely way. But for now, I'm giving them one less star. read more
