I was sad when Poncho and Left's left but because I love Edleys BBQ, I was interested in the taco concept. For a well established brand, I would have expected more of a completed menu, online ordering platform, and better quality. 1 - their website is lackluster. It provides no information (as of this review) of anything but their tacos and drinks and there is no online ordering. They are not technically doing to go orders yet but were accommodating when I asked for a to go. 2 - even in person, there isn't a really good menu board and if there is, information, the signs are so busy. I may have missed where the information was about what comes in a bowl but it is a missed opportunity to have a fully prepared website with the information. 3 - the food is good but not yet to Edley's BBQ quality. And other than the option to add guacamole or queso, there weren't any other personalization choices. I literally text my husband that the rice was essentially Taco Bell rice. The brisket and queso were good. Between the queso and pico, there was a nice level of spice. The bowl was black beans, rice, cheese, the added queso, a hefty serving of protein (thank you!) and a side of sour cream. While chips did not come with my order, I did try their lime ranch, pineapple salsa, and crema from their salsa bar. All were good but I liked the ranch the most. I think they just rushed to open the space and once they get some feedback I have no doubt it will be at the level of their BBQ in quality. I just didn't feel like I got the best meal for the price right now. But I will give it another try soon!

The place filled up pretty decently for a Monday afternoon, but our service was still great. Spicy, skinny margaritas on happy hour always make me happy. They were good, too -- plus a tajin rim *chefs kiss*. We had chips and salsa, fajitas, tacos, taco salads, and everything was solid. I wouldn't say my salad was mind blowing, but I was happy with it. No gripes from our table and everything came out nice and hot. Our server was very friendly and checked on us consistently, even if it was a glance from afar.

Most of the disappointment came from the hostess, Emily. She seemed rushed the entire time--she took our drink order, but while we were still looking at the menu, she walked away. She came back briefly, then left again, making it hard for us to ask questions or get recommendations. Because of that, we didn't get any guidance on what to order. When the food arrived, mine was way too spicy for me to eat. Thankfully, another waiter stepped in and offered an alternative I might like, which I appreciated. Overall, the service felt rushed and inattentive, and the experience just wasn't enjoyable. I wouldn't go back.

My friend started with the 'Strawberry Frozen Margarita' and I got the 'Pink Sunglasses' drink which came with small Barbie looking sunglasses as a garnishing. We shared the 'Chips and Salsas' which came with lime tortilla chips, smoked tomato salsa, and green tomatillo salsa. This was delicious. The salsas were so fresh and refreshing! I would come back just for this. I do not remember what entree my friend got, but she loved it. I got the 'Gringo' tacos which were spicy ground beef, lettuce, chipotle ranch, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese and hard shell tacos. This was really good. They were not kidding when they said spicy beef. This definitely had a kick, and I love that they were hard shell tacos. I really do not like the soft shell tacos. Service was friendly and quick. I would definitely come back to try some other meals! And I would recommend.

Margarita was only $10, but (not solely their fault) buy over $31 for the two drinks after taxes (3 different taxes totaling $5). So far I'd give them 4-5 starts, but now we moved upstairs to listen to the band playing. Good band that we only caught the tail end of their set. Before we realized what was happening, an employee grabbed one of our tables and took off with it. When I caught up to her and said we had a full table of people, she replied,"Those tables don't belong out there!" and she walked away and wouldn't acknowledge me. Another employee seemed a bit sheepish and explained they clear the tables for a dance floor. This left us with no tables as they took our other tables away. Based on the experience, I won't go back. There are way too many good choices along Broadway with great music, reasonable drink prices and friendlier staff. Casa Rosa missed the mark!
