I was sad when Poncho and Left's left but because I love Edleys BBQ, I was interested in the taco concept. For a well established brand, I would have expected more of a completed menu, online ordering platform, and better quality. 1 - their website is lackluster. It provides no information (as of this review) of anything but their tacos and drinks and there is no online ordering. They are not technically doing to go orders yet but were accommodating when I asked for a to go. 2 - even in person, there isn't a really good menu board and if there is, information, the signs are so busy. I may have missed where the information was about what comes in a bowl but it is a missed opportunity to have a fully prepared website with the information. 3 - the food is good but not yet to Edley's BBQ quality. And other than the option to add guacamole or queso, there weren't any other personalization choices. I literally text my husband that the rice was essentially Taco Bell rice. The brisket and queso were good. Between the queso and pico, there was a nice level of spice. The bowl was black beans, rice, cheese, the added queso, a hefty serving of protein (thank you!) and a side of sour cream. While chips did not come with my order, I did try their lime ranch, pineapple salsa, and crema from their salsa bar. All were good but I liked the ranch the most. I think they just rushed to open the space and once they get some feedback I have no doubt it will be at the level of their BBQ in quality. I just didn't feel like I got the best meal for the price right now. But I will give it another try soon! read more

The Burrito Salad was delicious with the grilled shrimp and the Chile Agave Brussels may just be the best thing on the menu! The Salsa Bar was a fun feature too! A man, Michael, begged us to leave a review. So here it is: the Mac and Cheese was dogshit, their burrito bowl with brisket was described as 'Chipotle if it was made in an underfunded school cafeteria' Their grilled chicken taco was quote 'alright' but not enough chicken. Their chicken tinga was the second best thing on the menu, akin to the tallest dwarf. The best was the beer, as it dulled the senses. Best regards. Edley's Tacos feels like a major downgrade from the Pancho & Lefty's it replaced. I gave it a fair shot, but the experience completely missed the mark for me as a longtime customer. The tacos are served on a standard small tortilla with very little meat and a light sprinkle of cheese. That's considered the "classic" version, while the "alambre" style costs $2 more per taco. At $7-$8 per taco, the value simply isn't there for what's being served. I understand concepts evolve, but this felt overpriced, underwhelming, and disconnected from what made the previous restaurant worth coming back to. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, and I'd be surprised if this place lasts long-term. read more

Portion size for a $6.50 taco was terrible. Each taco had very little protein. Flavor was decent, but you don't get what you pay for. I have eaten Edley's and Pancho and Lefty's for years and this was a massive disappointment. read more

Honest review... I had very high expectations coming into this because the line was out the door, however, I had a sub par dining experience. The overall ambiance is a cute vibe, although I don't think it has very much personality since the only decor is houseplants and an Edleys "e" on the wall. The service is really good, every staff member was running around working very hard and staying busy; although the guy who took our order wasn't very friendly off the bat (but it was super busy so that's understandable). The food we ordered was the shrimp, steak, carnitas, and brisket tacos with poblano mac and spanish rice as the sides and a blue berry marg which costed around $50. EVERYTHING was bland, the flour tortillas didn't taste fresh as they were kinda hard and chewy, portions were small, and none of the salsa in the salsa bar were anything to write home about. They for how bland the food was, they didn't even have salt and pepper shakers out and available. The marg I got was delicious, but didn't seem like it had any alcohol. When I asked a salt shaker, the server had to go in a back room to get one and it was basically empty hahaha (enough for me but needed a refill soon). As far as cleanliness, the table was a little dirty which is fair for a seat yourself place on a busy afternoon, but napkin holders were also empty. Overall, there are MANY way better places to get tacos in Nashville. Had a really great experience here. You can tell the team actually cares about the people who walk through the door. Ashley runs the place so well and made everything feel welcoming and smooth. Melae' was awesome at the front desk--kind, helpful, and easy to talk to. Matthew stood out as well. His attitude and energy honestly made my day better. This is very much a disappointment!!!! My family and I loved pancho and leftys and would always stop on our way through town. To look forward to that and finding this was heartbreaking. Tacos are absolutely awful at this new concept, and to have to build it and get toppings at a nasty taco bar is even more disgusting when paying 80 dollars for 4 tacos, 2 small sides and a margarita that has no tequila. No servers no bartenders or bar!! Tables were dirty while 4 managers sat near by eating lunch and playing on computers. read more

This is a rebranding by the same owners of the former Pancho & Left's. I had eaten at the previous concept many times and found it to be a good restaurant with good food and good customer service. The new concept is a real disappointment!!! The food has been reduced to a chain restaurant level with an eye to make $ not good food. The two times I have eaten there since the change have been BAD. No longer the homemade tortillas. No more curated flavors along a broad culinary profile. It is a dumbed down simplistic take on tacos and reduced offerings. The dining style is also completely changed. No table service now but an order counter and then find your seat with a number and grab you own condiments. Ironically, there were a dozen people wandering about doing not much to enhance the experience because the restaurant has been so reduced. This is the 4th taco shop in this location over the past 20 years, sadly it might be the worst yet even though these owners have the most resources. It is confusing and disappointing. Service and atmosphere are good! Food is not. We hoped that the rebrand and service model adjustment would come with improvements to value and quality and it did not. Ordered a frozen margarita that didn't seem to have any alcohol whatsoever in it despite the $10 price. It came out about five minutes after my food. Ordered one "Classico" style taco, meaning it's supposed to be topped with cheese, but it was just a few sweet potato chunks on a flour tortilla for $5. The other taco was just okay. The sign on the wall where you order says the 4th step of the process is hitting the salsa bar. Well, my $30 meal (that price was just for my one combo-- two tacos, a side of Mac n' cheese, and a nearly virgin margarita) did not include chips and salsa. They said the salsa is free, but you have to pay for chips. I will NEVER be back. Service was okay. read more
