This was a solid 3 star taco place. Tucked in a back corner of L&L market, it wasn't super busy when we went on a Saturday. The pastor taco on corn tortilla was the best taco by far. The burrito was also good. I personally can't get over how they do not serve tap water. So if you want water with your meal you have to buy a bottle or one of there canned soft drinks, or alcohol. They said something about the pipes, but I feel like a restaurant needs running tap water to function & I don't understand why they wouldn't want to serve it. Especially since they were serving ice, which looked like it was made in an ice machine hooked up to the water line. Overall good food.

LOVED this spot. So cheap and honestly so delicious. Great service, super quick. Great taco options, they were small but filled to the brim. I plan on making this a big take-out spot for us. I really loved the bang bang shrimp taco. Great ambiance and casual spot in L+L market!

With so many Mexican restaurants in the city, you literally can go anywhere else for better food and service. I went on a Wednesday like at 5ish- nobody else was there and food still took a while then I was confused why the chips and salsa couldn't come out first - the bartender/server said they were working on it but what's hard about some chips and salsa on a plate? Plus when I did get the app it clearly was way too many chips and not enough salsa. The tacos really lacked flavor and the fish taco was clearly like a frozen fish patty or something, DEFINITELY not fresh. Sadly I won't be revisiting here.

I arrived at the Milkshake event and they were a bit slammed so thought I could pass the time with tacos. They were equally delicious! Packed with flavor. Beautiful bar. Fast Service. Will definitely be back to try the drinks!!

Cute little spot in L&L! Went for a little impromptu drink and snack. I was here on a date and we got the Chela Fresca margarita and mango daiquiri as pictured. We also ordered the steak macho nachos. The nachos came in a sheet pan format well topped and delightfully no up charge for the steak. Plenty of parking in back of L&L.

I have wanted to check out Taco Chela for quite some time and ended up there on a whim last weekend. The restaurant is located in the corner of L&L Market. (If you're unfamiliar with L&L, it's on Charlotte and not far from the Nations. There's a really fun assortment of shops and dining options, and there is plenty of free parking.) There is bar seating or patrons can choose to sit at a table in the shared space of the market. We opted for bar seating and had excellent service. There were quite a few margarita options, so I asked the waitress for a recommendation. She shared that she makes an amazing mango daquiri, and she was not lying. I will definitely be back for another! We shared an order of steak macho nachos, and they were really good (and the perfect amount for two people to share). I love that there's no upcharge for steak, and I really enjoyed the mango on the nachos. I do wish the nachos had been slightly warmer, but that may be more of a personal preference.

This restaurant is found in L&L Market next to the Milkshake Bar. The people were super friendly and helpful when deciding tacos. The food came out very fast (about 10 minutes) and was delicious. They text you when your order is ready. I ended up with the fish and pastor tacos. The pastor taco was better than the fish but I still enjoyed both. The market is a nice vibe at night. We enjoyed live music and not too much chaos for dinner. It was very easy to find somewhere to sit.

The drinks are A1. There's so many great selections of margaritas and the dacquiris are absolutely delicious too. The service is so friendly and prompt. Highly recommend the pork belly tacos. We also tried the carne asada and pastor tacos which were perfect too. A very cute Instagrammable spot in the market with great food.

#fatjared say...the more I think about this place the worse it gets for me. Diasppointing is the best way to describe this experience. I would give 1 star if I could... For my reviews, I have a strict criteria. My experience at your establishment must be PERFECT. 5 stars on Yelp is perfect, so to receive that you have to be perfect. On the flip side...you can't give 0 stars, so 1 star means I have NOTHING good to say about you. While Taco Chela sucked IMO, there were a couple things good about it. To start with the good, They have an option to try every taco, multiple wrap options like corn flour or lettuce, and the bang-bang shrimp taco was awesome. Nothing else was actually that good. I could spend time telling you all the things wrong with this place, but I don't have enough room. So to be short, the food was bland, service was bad, portions were small, prices were high, and the only reason this place is always busy is because of its location. Take my advice, have dinner somewhere else, and then come have dessert at L&L or go to the brewery after, Don't eat here. There are so many other places that have WAY better tacos in Nashville, trust me. #bebetter

Small taco shop in L&L Marketplace with limited bar seating, small drinks, portions, and knowledge of ingredients. This spot was pretty busy for an early Saturday evening, but I think that was more due to location than anything else. The ordering system was a little unclear. I wasn't sure if I should sit at the bar to order or go straight to the register. It turns out either works. The cashier seemed generally annoyed to be at work and wasn't very friendly. I ordered their original margarita, chips and guacamole, and the pork belly and pastor tacos. The margarita was fine, though on the small side. The amount of guacamole I received for $9 was laughable. It was fine. I could have gotten three times the amount from Kroger for that price and it would have been just as good. The salsa was sweet which threw me off as I was expecting spicy, but this turned out to be how all of the food here was. Both pork tacos were very sweet. Not a hint of spice. That's fine if it pleases your audience I guess. I'm just used to food with a bit more powerful a flavor. When a patron next to me asked about gluten free options, every person working there was completely clueless, even the chef, so she ended up going somewhere else to eat. Seemed pretty odd in this day and age and for a restaurant in a place like L&L Marketplace. I did like that they provided multiple taco wrapping options. They had flour tortillas, corn tortillas, or lettuce wraps I probably won't be back as it just wasn't worth the money and the flavors weren't really my preference.

Got the chicken burrito, extremely dry. They don't have much sauce option. Both the salsa and salsa verde were pretty spicy so not for everyone. I got a side of their chipotle crème which was a necessity. I guess I can't complain about the amount of chicken since it was 70% of the burrito but it was just so dry because of it.

Great spicy margarita... like super great spicy margarita. Tacos are wonderful too!! Service is amazing.

Starting your meal off with a daiquiri is simply the only way to go! The bartender worked some magic because it was delicious and refreshing. My friends and I split the guac, which we didn't totally love but were happy with the portion because who doesn't love mindlessly eating chips while chatting with friends? I loved my carne asada taco! I enjoyed the sauces that I was able to put on the tacos, because i thought they could all use more spice but that might just be me! Overall a really great experience in the most perfect location.

There was no live music available at the time, but they did have a DJ which I thought was spinning the turntable rather well. It's my bad that I didn't also catch on that his is basically a Tequila Bar, rather than a more general craft cocktail establishment. Judging by the well stocked bar and the word of our waitress, other alcohol and their associated craft creations are available, but it's pretty much off menu and not well into our waitress' repertoire. And yes, Cinco de Mayo was just a few days away. One member of our party just wanted a soft drink, which was not possible that night as their CO2 was down. That did make me wonder whether the non-alcohol drinkers had much to chose from here. I suppose we could have then wandered over to the Redemption Bar at Chief's? Anyway, we're not Tequila Drinkers, and since other drink options appeared to be guesswork, we left towards more traditional mixed drinks (and live music) at a nearby Printers Alley bar. This was a rare night that I really wanted a craft cocktail in a smooth environment, and in the end it just wasn't the same.

Staff at the humidor offered zero guidance or recommendations. Drinks were forgettable, and we had to fetch them ourselves from the bar like we were at a college sports pub instead of an upscale cigar lounge. Then came the cigars. We were left to cut and light them ourselves, which would've been fine if every disposable torch in the place wasn't nearly empty or completely out of butane. Nothing says 'premium lounge experience' quite like fighting for a working lighter. To top it off, the moment a large group walked in, the bartender started loudly screaming out drink orders across the room.
