This is a beautiful park with a great set of secluded, fenced in, dog trails! My pups really enjoyed finding the river after leaving the off-leash area. My friend invited my daughter and I to this park for a morning play date. It was easy to get to and had sufficient parking spots for a midweek stop. We walked the kids to the creek where they spent 2 hours exploring and playing in the water. They had their PNW staple clothing items on and had so much fun. Awesome location. Clean park. Respectful park goers and responsible dog owners. Would definitely recommend. read more

This is such a great dog park in a nice larger park. They now have trash cans for dog poop, but still no water source. However, the larger park has a stream that runs thru it. Great get option for dog play dates! read more

The City of Kirkland and its volunteers have done a beautiful job of rehabbing the park after years of neglect as part of unincorporated King County. The Boy Scouts who have chosen to support the park for their Eagle Scout projects has helped add to the beauty and learning opportunities in the park. It's a wonderful place to see Barred owls as well! read more

Hands down my favorite small park with big feels!! I've been coming here for years and while I'll admit I was bit hesitant with the recent construction of the park, it has done wonders for our community, and a vast improvement for all abilities to enjoy! This little hidden gem is so perfect for your four legged and two legged friends. There are restrooms on site, along with picnic tables, and a great covered area. The story behind this park is so fascinating and I'm always in awe of the local history, surrounding these woods. True OGs May remember the rock labyrinth that was once onsite- what a cool feature, which is sadly now gone BUT there is now a huge dog park. It looks like side street parking is all that's available, but hey when you live nearby no need for cars, hooray for bikes and rollerblades! read more

I was really worried when I found out the park was going to be renovated. I say this because this park felt like you stepped deep into the woods eventhough it is in the middle of the city. It has a shallow river, lots of tree coverage, etc. Thankfully, the renovations only cleared a small senction in the front of the park to allow for a nice grassy area, a rontonda and a small kids play area. Where they really nailed it was in the elevated walkways which allow you to feel like you are deep in the woods while protecting the plants and marsh. Really well done. The dog park is neat because it is not huge like Marymoor and is not as crowded. There are benches, and a trash can right outside. Really well thoughout and maintained. We enjoy going to Edith Moulton Park, and will continue to visit it. read more

The newly redone park opened last weekend. It was a 26 acre park deeded for a park by the owner for whom it was named. The City of Kirkland just did a renovation and added an offleash area. The offleash dog park has not really been discovered yet. It is different than any other dog park I've been in. Rather than bring a large continuous area it has some large areas connected by a fenced in small trial system. It is at the Far East side of the park and we could not find any trail map to show us where to go. Unless you live in the apartments or the neighborhood adjoining the east side of the park, expect a steep climb by several routes to it. I don't know if the city plans on renovating the old parking lot but they need to for access. Lola had fun checking out where the other dogs had been, but there were no other dogs there to play with. We will give it another check in a month or two but currently Lola has more fun at Jaspers offleash where she can herd with the other dogs. read more

This is a great park! It's basically a mini-wooded trail that is entirely fenced in. My pups had a blast running around as we walked the loops, with tons of trees and nature to sniff to keep them interested when no dogs were around. We'll definitely be back! read more

We were impressed by this park. You walk down a beautiful trail to get to the dog park. Lots of maps throughout the trail so you know where to go. Great group of dogs for our pup to play with and plenty of space to run around. Fun for the dogs and a nice walk for the owners. read more

Great dog park that isn't too big and isn't too small. Also has a nice large area upon entry and benches to sit and watch the dogs play. Also has double gated entries, which is very important to me. Everyone we ran into was very polite and personable also. read more

A hidden gem I was surprised to find in the area. More relaxing nature and historically informative than it is flashy and fun, it is worth the mention that it is here! 26 acres now a part of Kirkland thanks to the recent annexation. Every time I turn around or explore a different part of Kirkland ..I realize what an amazing number of parks in every corner we have. So much more than the waterfront! I'm also lucky enough to be on the Board of the Juanita Neighborhood Association. Through a donation and many man hours, Edith Moulton was recently restored and upgraded including adding historic signage, replacing picnic shelters and spreading gravel and maintaining the parks many trails. This park is like walking into a deep forest. You can almost pretend the nearby 405 traffic is running water off in the distance. A great place to walk, hike, relax, explore and just get away. Highly recommended on our list of local parks! read more

Dog park is great! Shaded trails loop around and back on each other. Not as big as Marymoor, but love that it is totally shaded and fenced. Easy to find from front of Edith Moulton Park- just pick a trail and follow it. You will eventually end up in the back of the park and at the off leash dog park. So we set out for this lovely park on a quiet sunday morning about 9am, hoping to be able to enjoy the park before the heat settles in for the day. My dad, brother & I along with our sporty Shih Tzu walked through for quite a while, enjoying the beauty of the old growth forest. We didn't really expect to see any major wildlife, we did hear some birds (our luck we never see anything crazy exciting!). So we are planning our way back out when suddenly my dad spots something on a tree branch...an OWL! A gorgeous young Barred Owl eye level with us & not too far either. It was looking for food possibly, but it was very much aware of our presence! It even looked right at me a few times! Such a thrill for me, being an owl lover. So after quite a few minutes of getting lots of pictures we moved on but soon after I happened to look up into the trees & found a second Barred Owl! This one looked to be an adult & was devouring a meal of what looked to be a rabbit! Truly wonderful! & Even though the dense forest made it a bit humid, the tree coverage kept us quite dry from the rain. So this park is definitely worth visiting, whether you enjoy walking through lovely old growth forests, or want to spot some owls! Keep an eye out for the owl nesting boxes! read more

This park doesn't look like much from the street but actually has a cute little trail network and creek that my kids love playing in. Navigated the trails with a double stroller no problem. Very accessible to my three year old. Today we enjoyed the pop up story walk "the bear and the piano" read more

I have been looking for woodsy city parks in the area for awhile, and having a hard time for some reason (Isn't this the PNW? What is going on?). Well, today was the first time Edith Moulton Park showed up on a map, so I took myself over there right away. This is a great place to get that "lost in the woods" feeling without having to go far at all. I'm serious, I actually somehow got lost in this park. It really isn't that big(26 acres). But there are many little trails that lead to nowhere, and some of the trails are quite narrow. There is also a small creek that runs though it, with several makeshift bridges to get across (as well as one or two more solid looking bridges) I am not a runner, but I don't think this would be a good place to run due to the many obstacles such as tree roots, logs and foliage that can block the path. If you are looking for a workout, this probably isn't the best place. However, it is a fun place for a low key walk surrounded by gorgeous trees, if you just want to take awhile to explore the area. It also seems like it would be a great place for kids, because there weren't really any hills, and as I mentioned before, many little trails to explore. read more

Average little park. Nothing special - a few trails and a creek. The best thing about it is that it's generally quiet with few other hikers.
