I ordered the ceviche (Peruvian style) and it was so good. The portion was small and sort of pricey. I still recommend if you're craving a good ceviche. The service was good everyone was nice. We did have to wait a bit for our order.

Grilled Octopus Greek Salad $15

I enjoyed the food at Swigamajig. Located inside of Sparkman Wharf. It is a bit pricey but so is everything else in this area. There are 3 tables in front of the restaurant. More seating is available towards the back of the Wharf. Fish and Chips- Overall the fish is not flavorful however, they provide you with different sauces that assist with that. The fries are natural cut with sea salt (my favorite). Grilled Octopus Salad- I appreciated the presentation of this dish. I enjoyed the charred grilled taste of the Octopus. It complimented the salad which consisted of cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, Kalamata olives, and feta cheese. It was simple and refreshing on a warm day. I would order these two dishes again on my next visit to Sparkman Wharf.

Shrimp and chips

This was a really tasty fried shrimp basket. The shrimp were huge, and lightly battered. The fries are to die for and even taste good cold. Only complaint was the price, almost 20 bucks for 4 fried shrimp and fries seems a bit much.

Had the shrimp and fries at this spot a few days ago. While everyone was good was a a little disappointed by how pricey it was for a plate with four shrimps, fries and mediocre coleslaw.

Beautiful outdoor area.

Seafood based food truck type establishment is one of many restaurants in the Sparkman worth and definitely a high traffic area as it's right next to where the cruise ship trap off. They do offer excellent cocktails, and a selection of seafood. If you're doing a downtown I would recommend checking this area out whether to get coffee, snacks, or a drink to go down the walkway.

I really wanted to like this place but the food was inedible. $34 wasted. We ordered conch fritters and calamari and both were awful. The calamari was drowning in salt. My cousin and I took one bite and all we could taste was salt. Awful. No other flavor. Nothing else. The calamari was soggy and undercooked. How hard is it to make good calamari. Our stomachs hurt after. It was the first bad experience I have had at the wharf. We salvaged the evening by going to bone fish a few hours later. It was delightful.

Drinks are always good here ! Food normally is delicious ! My first review on this restaurant though . I came here on my lunch break . Ordered the jerk chicken sandwich that comes with fries ! I didn't add the tarter sauce because it is mayo based. My fries were very hot, seems like they were just dropped but my chicken sandwich was cold . I know the sauce they have on it is a bit cold but I don't think that would have made my sandwich as cold as it was . I wasn't in a rush but I didn't want to take it back . I will give them my business again though .

Must be good

Just popped to see creatorofcocktails from IG and get her to whip up a potion for me. As per usual she crafted a wonderful libation and I was pleased at the flavors invading my pallet. Not sure what she called it but damn it was good. Let's get real anything with Edison's in front of the name is gonna be good. (See Edison's food + drink lab) i will be back to try some of the food.

Lots of great seating at Swigamajig

This is our favorite shipping container to visit while at Sparkman Wharf. Chef Jeannie has put together a great team that puts out really great food. A couple of weeks ago before a hockey game we ordered the octopus salad and we loved every bite! My husband enjoyed the refreshing cocktail of the day and I had a delightful glass of still rose!

Yummy, crispy Fries!

Their fries are delicious, thick cut potatoes, similar to Five Guys. They use a nice coarse sea salt and the fries are crispy, not too greasy. They offer malt vinegar or an aioli if you ask. It's a large portion too! Yelp says they are closed today (Veteran's Day) but they are open for business. Definitely

It's a pretty decent place with some amazing French Fries. The other meal items were pleasant. They also have some drinks there and do a weekly speciality drink. Service is great. Being part of Sparkman Wharf certainly adds to the experience and ambience.

Tl;dr Food mediocre. Service was not that great. Wouldn't come back. E X P E R I E N C E We came on a Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in march. It was def hot but there were misters provided by the plaza staff. This restaurant is the big orange bldg facing the entrance/parking lot. S E R V I C E The guy taking our order wasn't v friendly but he took our order in a timely manner. We got our order within 20 mins. S E A T I N G There are 3 tables with 2-3 seats each. All covered with umbrellas. On the table it says to please wait for stuff to sanitize but it doesn't look like there are any staff members sanitizing. F O O D Fish + chips sub Octopus salad 15+3: fish was breaded well. Fish was v fresh. Def needed some tartar sauce or smtg. Octopus salad had no seafood in it. Literally a few pieces of cucumber, onion and tomatoes. Bread had burnt marks on it and def tasted burnt. Jerk grilled market fresh fish sandwich 17: it was okay. Fish was grilled well. the sauce was mediocre. Fries were meaty and salty well. T O T A L 37

JC treating me great!!

First time here and was the absolute best... the fish was fresh and hot the fries was yummy but that cold slaw oh my Jesus someone stop me pleaseeeeee I wanted so much more of it. The slaw was such an amazing compliment to this wonderful dish. The friendliness service and the great big smiles really did add a huge bonus for me. This was before I sipped on that delicious rum and coke JC made for me. He was such a treat- great personality and very helpful. Will be back for some more!!!

I paid 11 dollars for 1 fish finger and some fries. And they put it on the top so it immediately fell and I had to wait for another.

We were seated at the corner table so we were able to people watch. Our server, Brianna, was super nice and very attentive. I never had to ask her for a refill on my Coke Zero; she just kept them coming! We started with some shareables for the table. Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts which were done just right. We also ordered a half cheese, half pepperoni pizza to share. I've never had a "Columbus-style" pizza before. If you're wondering, the crust is somewhat thinner than most pizzas, but not a thin-crust pizza. The toppings are spread all throughout the pizza to the edge, and then cut it in squares (Tavern style). It was very tasty, with a slightly sweet note. My hubby and I ordered the Cobb Salad (without bacon) which was delicious. I really liked the onions on it. It was very fresh and they served a generous portion. Hubby ate the whole thing, but I had the rest of mine for dinner. So good! Two of our friends ordered the Truffle Mushroom Smash Burger and they loved them. I tried my buddy's tater tots, which he ordered with his French Dip. They were nice and crispy, but could have used some kind of flavoring, like Parmesan or truffle. Doesn't mean I didn't eat them all! LOL. The restaurant looks small when you enter, but in addition to the front dining area and bar, it has two additional dining areas, as you walk towards the back, and another bar. If you find yourself in the Channelside area, you should definitely try out Small Giant.

It's that crisp on the outside that I love. I get it without the tomatoes and no mayo. Next time I'll ask for no crispies as well. I like it just it plain, perfect amount of salty is just my favorite. This place is the best place for Brussel sprouts. I also like to get the breaded cod here I've never had it better anywhere. It tastes & looks like real fresh cod. It is not shiny or glossy like frozen cod. This is the real deal fresh breaded cod. This is a real legit British food. The service is spectacular especially for a downtown bar. This restaurant is very clean. All the staff are just super friendly and they don't rush you at all. Just very sweet wholesome people staffed here. The food here is way better than Yard House 10 out of 10. However, Yard House does have the best onion rings. That's the only thing that I get there with the beer cheese cause that's the only thing that's good there. The only thing I like at Yard House are the onion rings other than that I think the rest of the food is worse than going to Chili's. Yeoman's also has TV screens and the people that come here are not as sleazy as the ones that go to Yard House. Very different clientele thank goodness. This place does not give me the heebie-jeebies when I come in here. The men here are normal and they don't flock the girls like they do at Yard House ICK. Thank goodness for a wholesome sports bar like Yeoman's!!

I enjoyed the food. Drinks...meh....not impressed. I'm very surprised being under the same entity as Morgan's Cove, that the beverage consistency was NOT the same, which I can't understand. The establishment as a whole is REALLY impressive! They have pool tables, arcades, digital golf and more. It would be a great spot to kick it if you had a large group of people. Service was average. Take your order, bring you your items, then on to the next person. I made it clear that I wasn't happy with the drinks and was suggested to try a different one, which I also didn't like. There was no discount, or removal offered for the items on my bill that I KINDLY explained that I didn't enjoy (nor that looking for) the offer would have been appreciated. All-In-All this is a rare place, where I won't come back to...at least this portion of the entity. My advice...consistency is the key for one entity. My first 3 Stars!

Timely food and drink service even for a busy evening Ambiance - they had live music which was great and the shaded patio was perfect. Needing something to eat since it was late, we checked this place out. Anchor & Brine is located in the lobby of the JW Marriot Waterside Hotel. It is a great option for guests staying there or people looking for a nice place to eat near Water Street. The menu isn't huge and consists of a small variety of small plates, seafood, entrees, and sushi. This was a perfect spot for us as we were only looking for some appetizers to split between us. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, we ended up sitting inside because we didn't want to wait for a table outside. The service was great and our server Castle did a wonderful job taking care of us. He checking in on us frequently and was very accommodating. For the food, we ordered an Angry Tuna roll (sans the avocado), the Mushroom Flatbread, and Fried Calamari. All of our plates came out in a timely manner and were made to order. The sushi came out first and I was genuinely blown away with how good it was. The angry tuna roll had spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado, tempura, spicy mayo, fresno chili, scallions, and tobiko. I wasn't expecting a hotel restaurant to serve sushi with fish this fresh, but man I was impressed. The roll was pretty large with ample amounts of tuna. Everything was very balanced and I really appreciated the rice to fish to toppings ratio. I would highly, recommend ordering sushi here! The Mushroom Flatbread and calamari were served together and again, I was very impressed with just how flavorful these were. The Mushroom flatbread consisted of caramelized onions, arugula, garlic crema, truffle oil, balsamic reduction, parmesan, and goat cheese. This was perfect for sharing, was light, and just fabulous all around. All the flavor components stood out and there was a perfect ratio of each. Really loved this as well and would also recommend. The calamari was just as good as the other two items were ordered---if not better. The calamari was served with aji amarillo aioli, pickled chilis, shishito peppers, and grilled lemon. This was hands down some of the best calamari I've had. Breaded to perfection, the calamari was crisp and wasn't too chewy or soggy. The peppers, aioli, and lemon added some tang and zest to the dish. Really, really good and the perfect size for sharing. Overall, Anchor & Brine exceeded my expectations. I went in thinking it would just be a standard hotel restaurant and left more than satisfied with my experience. Starting with the service, Castle did such a great job with our table. Everyone is super accommodating and does a nice job checking in on tables, refilling drinks, and picking up finished plates. The food was the best part though! Everything we ordered was just phenomenal! The sushi is a must as the quality of the fish is great. The flatbread and calamari are perfect for sharing and won't leave you disappointed either! I would definitely eat here again without any hesitations. It's a great spot if you are staying here or just nearby!
