This place is awesome for many reasons. Plenty of parking. Indoor outdoor seating. Tons of TV's. High tops low tops booths and bar seating. Friendly staff. The food! My go to is chicken Philly with medium peppers. The bread is AMAZING! Daily specials. Never disappoints

Jalapeño poppers and mozzarella sticks

We are back here again for drag queen bingo. We brought a friend that happens to be drinking alcohol. She has had a few with pickle backs. When she asked for and extra pickle back and a larger shot.the server (that was swamped i found out) was taking a loong time. Then the bar tender came over and got snippy with out friend saying the drinks are measured and she can only have one pickle back. My thing is if she is PAYING FOR DRINKS then give her her drinks and charge her accordingly.

Boiled yummy amazing peanuts

I've been coming here for a few years. I love their cheesesteaks especially with all the great pepper options. I'm a die hard for their boiled peanuts too. Unfortunately I've not tried their other menu options as I have a hard enough time choosing - to forfeit my favs. I drive over 30 miles to dine here; that's says it right there

Regular Philly Charanns Cheesesteak - The Tampa Original with medium peppers

If you want the absolute BEST Philly cheesesteak in Tampa look no further than Charanns Tavern! I've been a regular at this place since their previous location and let me tell you they never disappoint! You can customize your Philly with sweet, mild or hot peppers and it's so amazing! The bread is always super fresh and if I'm dining in I always get an order of steak fries that are pretty amazing too! Love this place and I love that the quality has stayed the same throughout all these years ! Keep it up Charran's!!

Great food, great hospitality, great drinks, let's gooooooooo. Ambiance is great and the music is lit

Seating area with TV's

I placed my omelette order just before the 1pm Sunday football games. I sat down to wait for the games to start. At about 1:10 the bartender told me that the cook/manager refused to make my omelette bc he received the order at 1:01pm. I went to speak to the manager and he was a TOTAL PRICK! He refused to make the omelette and did not care if he was losing money. One would think that a (manager) would want s happy customer instead of a now PISSED customer; whom will no longer frequent this GARBAGE bar. I wish I could give a negative rating. Do NOT frequent or visit this bar! Total GARBAGE!

I used to go for their cheesesteaks it was the best. Now the service is terrible. Even the soda was not good. I was super disappointed.

It's a small little place on Hillsborough Ave, located right in front of the Korean store, Hangook Mart. And may I say if you haven't been here, it's worth the trip. The staff is super friendly too. They have sandwiches, sweets, breads, and empanadas. The empanadas come in chicken (which is what I get), beef or cheese. And don't forget to ask for the sauce...OMG, the sauce. Open your empanada and pour that stuff inside and WHOA!! I've not had their Cuban sandwiches but I will def be back to try one...I'm always on the lookout for a great Cuban. And the best part!? You can eat here REALLY cheap too....the empanadas are handmade and are only $1.25 each. Say what!? Why are you still reading this and not on your way LOL :) I did try the cheese stuffed croissant yesterday and that was just OK...nothing to rave about. I'd suggest sticking w/the empanadas...can't go wrong there. For COVID -- yes, they are open, they are wearing masks and gloves. There are limited tables available inside as well.

I ordered to go: chicken and potatoes empanadas, pan de bono, and guava and cheese pastry. Everything was fresh and warm!! The pan de bono was my favorite!! All 3 items came to $7.52

I was so excited to grab some carbs after a few hours in the thrift store next door. It is just the cutest thing inside! The worker was so sweet and patient as I asked questions. I was a bit overwhelmed, but in a good way - they had so many interesting flavors to choose from. Definitely not your average options, with choices ranging from coffee to matcha, rosemary to chocolate chip, jalapeno bacon to cinnamon. I was told all bagels are made fresh daily and they tasted that way, too. We kept them out on the counter for three or four days and they were still soft to the touch. Don't be like me though, I was told it is recommended to saran wrap and freeze, then defrost a bit and bake at 350 after brushing with a bit of water. I did not try this BUT sounds like it would freshen them right up like new. The inside was clean with seating options and I was pleasantly surprised they had so many bagels available an hour before closing. Great place, come show support!

The bagel was fresh, though a little firmer and chewier than I prefer. I ordered a breakfast bagel and would have liked it slightly crisper rather than so dense. That said, Baygulls clearly has plenty of loyal fans, with a steady stream of customers coming through. Service was great, and the place had the welcoming feel of a family-run business. It's always good to support a local spot. Enjoy!

I'm glad I did and stopped overlooking it sooner, because these subs are good. It may not be in the most desirable area in town, but the store was remarkably clean and the employees were very friendly. They even allowed me to bring my sweet baby Muffin (shih tzu) inside while in her carriage. It's my first time in any Firehouse Subs, so I wasn't entirely sure what I would like. I went with The Engineer because the calorie count (conveniently plastered along the menu) was right where I wanted it, and I love most turkey subs in general. Plus, I thought the addition of mushrooms was pretty unique. I got the pickle on the side and a confetti cookie that I will eat later. (I'll let you know how it is--but anything with sprinkles will be a winner). I was pretty impressed with the quality of the sub. The meat was hot and tender, mixing well with the cheese, and the mushrooms did give it a good unique taste and texture profile like I knew it would. Meanwhile, the veggies in the sub were cool and crisp, making the whole sandwich a satisfying yet refreshing meal. I like how they ask if I would like to round up for the firemen. I realize Firehouse Subs were founded by firemen and they give back, so I said, "Why not?" since it's only rounding out to the nearest dollar. Although I think The Engineer will be my favorite and my usual to get, I'll be sure to try others on my repeat trips.

It made us feel truly welcomed and also appreciated. They were genuinely nice and made us feel at home though it was a restaurant. If you want a delicious and very elevated cocktail this is the place to go. My husband got a Paloma and I got a lavender gin drink. Both were very well made and beautifully presented As far as the food goes, we got the feta honey cheese pie which was very new to us but was excellent. It was very crispy and flaky on the outside with sweet sticky honey drizzled on top but then warm, melt in your mouth cheese in the middle. The greek salad was very fresh and delicious. We love the potato salad core. We also got the Greek sampler that had a lovely and light feta cheese spread with hummus and tzatziki with peppers and red onions. Very tasty and delicious. It came with a side of pita bread. The main entree we got the Chicken Ala Mykonos Dinner. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned. The sauce on the orzo was creamy but light. Everything worked well together and was perfectly balanced. We were so stuffed we brought home three boxes of food. When we were leaving Nick offered us two biscoff desserts to go. They looked so delicious we had to try a sample of it when we got home even though we were completely stuffed. The dessert tasted like a light version of a biscoff cookie. Not too sweet, very soft, and little firmer than pudding. We've never had anything like it but it was delicious Overall it was a great experience and we will certainly be back

I'll start by saying the two people with me had Greek dishes, Chicken Naousa and Chicken Souvlaki, and both had positive things to say. If we return someday I will go Greek, as I found my burger a little dry and kind of a challenge. My choice was their Dallas BBQ Cheeseburger with bacon, which I asked to be cooked medium. My plate was full with the burger itself, fries, and separately the usual burger toppings. With the onion rings and the bacon strips, I decided to not try to assemble with the toppings but just include those as I ate. The slowness of the meal was noticeable, I started with a side Caesar Salad, which took about 20 minutes to arrive.
