I don't say this lightly: I had the best grilled chicken salad of my entire life at Bahama Breeze in Tampa. And not once--twice. Both visits were during the week of the Stadium Series, so yes, this was thoroughly field-tested under real-world conditions. Imagine perfectly grilled, juicy chicken, fresh crisp greens, and that magical balance where every bite is exactly what you want it to be. I am still thinking about this salad. I may always be thinking about this salad. Which is why I was absolutely devastated to learn this location is slated for closure. Heartbroken. Betrayed. Personally affected. So consider this your public service announcement: do yourself a favor and go fact-check me. Order the grilled chicken salad. You'll see. And while you're there, pair it with a dragonfruit margarita. I arrived at this conclusion after conducting extremely serious and very scientific research in the form of a flight of four margarita flavors. After careful analysis (and zero regrets), dragonfruit emerged as the clear champion. Bright, refreshing, and dangerous in the best way. Bahama Breeze, you deserved better--but until the very last day, I'll be singing the praises of that salad. Go now. Eat well. Thank me later.

Service was wonderful, the food was outstanding, and the live music on the patio is always a wonderful touch. Check out the fish when you're in the dining room and be sure to try something new!

We're sad to see Bahama Breeze leave this area! We had to pay one last visit - we had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon, there was live music which is always nice. It was also national margarita day and the classic margaritas were $2.22 - a great deal! My husband had the honey butter chicken sandwich - he really enjoyed it. I ordered the salmon tostada salad, a personal favorite. My daughter always likes the kids mac n cheese. Our server was also super nice and continuously checked in on us. The location is so pretty, right on the water. We'll definitely miss this spot.

Our group had a great time at Bahama Breeze. Service was stellar. The restaurant has plenty of parking and the ambiance is lively and bright. A fully stocked bar offering a variety of cocktails, beer and wine options. The menu is exhaustive with island specialties. The crab dip and beef empanadas were really good. For the main course I tried the seafood paella. Thoroughly enjoyed the flavors. Pricing : Moderate high Will I return? For sure!

With our whole team in Tampa and staying within walking distance at the Westin, this was an easy choice for a gathering. They arranged the rear dining room, set up an open bar and a table with finger foods. More than 50 of us crowded into here, drinking, eating and socializing. The venue is nice. It's a little upscale compared to many and the service was excellent. My Bahama Mama was strong, fruity and delicious. And thankfully, I had only the one. The food in the chafing dishes was great. A selection of their appetizers including beef empanadas, cheese sticks and whole jerk chicken wings. Nice. [Review 146 of 2026 - 2253 in Florida - 25336 overall]

Another great meal! Fun photo op set ups/ decorations for Valentine's Day added to the fun Caribbean vibe... Had the lovely Hannah for this dinner. Very outgoing, attentive and professional. All drinks were yummy ( mmm, coconut mojito), and our food delicious. Read a few weeks ago that this is one chain planning on closing several of their restaurants, with some exceptions-- and this is one of them. Please give them your business--don't want to lose this gem.

It's not closed yet! Bahama Breeze in Tampa is one of my favorite spots. Everything on the menu is good. The service is great and the vibe is so so Florida. I enjoy the island vibes and all about this place. Bahama Rita frozen is my go to drink. They are still open at least for a few more months before a new place opens in that location. Get there soon. Get yourself a house salad with their house vinaigrette dressing to start things off . Thank me later

This restaurant is waterfront with inside and outside seating available. We dined outside as it was a nice day and not too hot. They have ample parking and live music every night Our first server Chad was great. Sandra helped us after and she was awesome as well. Both servers exemplified great customer service. Sandra checked on us often and was very kind. We ordered the following: DRINKS 1. Bahamarita - Frozen Drink 2. King Carnival 3. Margaritas Flight (Classic, Dragonfruit, Cocorita) *** All of our drinks were good. They were on the sweeter side but really good. The Bahamarita had great orange, melon, and strawberry flavors mixed together. FOOD 1. Jamaican Jerk Whole Wings Very delicious with a great crisp on the outside. The chicken was tender and the sauce made it evwn better. (BEST THING WE ATE) 2. Blackened Mahi Tacos The tacos were okay. They were topped with pico de gallo and an aioli sauce and a side of rice and beans which I enjoyed a lot. 3. Cubano Sandwich Toasted Sandwich was okay as well. We had fries as our side. You can order then pay on their kiosk pad as well. This place has great views, great service, great cocktail drinks, and decent food.

I booked a reservation on Open Table for Bahama Breeze. My daughter and I needed a little tropical escape. We were seated in a comfortable booth inside and ordered a Pain Killer and a Bahamarita to drink. There were so many great sounding dishes on the menu, and we wound up ordering dinner from the 2 for $25 menu. My daughter got the Grilled Chicken with Cilantro-Crema and I ordered the Stuffed Plantain Bowl. I was originally thinking about getting the Rasta Pasta. I do not eat seafood but our server said that it could be made without the shrimp. This is great to know as I may try it next time. We both really enjoyed our drinks and dinner choices, and found them both to be very filling. My plantain bowl was so unique and was a delicious dish full of flavor. I absolutely love plantains! The 2 For $25 menu is such an amazing deal! Our server was very helpful with answering our questions about the extensive drink menu. We enjoyed the relaxing tropical vibe with fun music inside, and it was so easy to find parking in their large parking lot on a weeknight.

Bahama Breeze was walking distance from HIE. They had an extensive bar area - so I didn't feel weird eating solo. They had a small $6 margarita menu. I tried the dragon fruit and the coconut. The outside patio was under cover and had lots of fans to keep you cool. It was actually cooler outside than inside. They also have live music out on the patio. Overall an enjoyable evening after a long flight.

Haven't been to this Bahama Breeze in forever and I feel like it was still pretty good. I was looking for a place for a small bite, good drinks, great view, & easy free parking on the way to Clearwater Beach. This was it. We wanted inside seating and they sat us at the perfect table with the best of both worlds - A/C and great water view. We still felt like a tourist here. Our server was enthusiastic and friendly. We ordered a Bahamarita, and a Pina Colada and Conch Fritters. That was exactly what we were looking for before we headed to the beach and dinner later on. Really enjoyed it here even though we have a Bahama Breeze closer to home but no water view.

Flew into Tampa and met my friend here for dinner. The location is amazing. With great views of the bay and great live music. The service was ok. The food was good. My girlfriend got the pineapple bowl with no shrimp. It tried some and it was great. Rich in flavor and a great value for the price. I ordered the black bean bbq burger and fries. The fries were great. The burger was above average. It was a great and simple meal after a long day traveling from San Francisco. I'd gladly come back here when I'm in town.

We came in for lunch today even though we had a not so great experience here a few years ago-and we are SO GLAD we did! The food was amazing-the jerk chicken pasta never disappoints and I had the ahi tuna stack and it was PHENOMENAL! They didn't skimp on the tuna at all and the sauces and sauces complimented each other very well. The service was fantastic at the bar and the Caribbean theme brings great ambiance to the afternoon.

Hi there, SIMILAR to Whiskey Joe's Bar & Grill, do lotsa tables at this Bahama Breeze location have beach-ish / water views? THANKS!!

There are a few with water views. The restaurant fills up. I would call and make a reservation and ask for a water view if it is a special evening for you.

Is this on the water and if so is there boat dockage?

Hi Steve! Yes, actually we do have boat dockage available at our Tampa location. There are only a few spots available but we have it!

    Is it pet friendly?

Hi Andrea! We only allow service animals inside our restaurant and on our patios.

Does this Tampa location have late night happy hour on Thursdays?

Unfortunately this location does not have happy hour at all. But it does have the best view, live music; and awesome service:)

Parents night out was a great time at Oystercatchers. We started with the Single Tier Seafood Plateau and beyond the oysters, for me the Tuna Poke was the bomb!! This was a nice start to our experience. Then I did the St Augustine Clam Chowder and while it was good, it was a bad order on my part as it's a hearty soup. It was too much for me at this time of the year. Then we split the Seafood Mac and Cheese which was great and had some killer pieces of shrimp and spiny lobster in there. Now I won't go into details but we had an issue and the staff did an amazing job going above and beyond to resolve it. We weren't looking for them to go above and beyond but we appreciated it. We also had a nice view of the Bay during dinner which was nice. Comp valet is available which is a nice touch. We will come back in a few months to check out their brunch!

I positioned myself on the back deck for dinner right before sunset. I started with three broiled oysters in a classic topping of spinach garlic butter ($14). They were wholly delicious. Maybe I should have passed on the St Augustine Clam Chowder ($13), a bowl of lukewarm tomato based broth with datil pepper, pancetta and diced vegetables including potatoes. The highlight was to be a fried clam fritter- a clam golf ball that waded in the broth, like a beach ball in the pool. It was too fried to absorb the liquid and required a knife or a stab from the soup spoon to break it apart. Bits of clam were now exposed to a soggy mass of fried batter. Ugh. The jerk chicken entree ($34) was too much money for too little moistness and real Jamaican jerk flavors. Bits of papaya, mango and peanuts were around the piece of chicken. Sides of cilantro white rice and slaw accompanied the chicken but didn't do much to salvage the bird. Just meh. Service was prompt and friendly. So maybe the sunset serves well to distract from the menu.

Even with that conversation, I was completely unprepared for just how extraordinary they made everything. When we arrived, we followed a trail of rose petals to a beautifully decorated private table waiting for us with flowers, a handwritten card, champagne, and glasses already set. It honestly felt like something out of a movie. The attention to detail and genuine care from the entire team was unbelievable.
