First time at Bahama Breeze! It's a close drive from the airport and was very crowded on a Saturday dinner but we only waited 15 mins for a table. At 6pm they have a live music playing so it gets even louder. The tables are very close to each other. The parking lot is huge which is a plus. The waitress was very nice and refilled our waters! We split the coconut fried shrimp which was all right. The sauce wasn't good so I just ate it without any sauce. I got the jerk mahi mahi as my man dish and it was really good! I ordered the speciality drink RITA Flight which consists of three miniature Margaritas (Classic, Dragon Fruit and Cocorita). They all looked different but tasted the same (Nasty). I asked the waiter for a Heineken (can't go wrong with that I thought). The waiter advised that there were no more. Okay , well let me have a classic margarita. The color of it was a ghost white and a couple of sips made me so sick it ruined my entire trip. The Server had a poor attitude, the drinks were terrible, and there is not one thing Bahamas about the place. In closing, I feel that if a person is not willing to serve people from all walks of life (race, color, creed, etc.) should go into a profession where he doesn't have to deal with people period!!! We're sad to see Bahama Breeze leave this area! We had to pay one last visit - we had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon, there was live music which is always nice. It was also national margarita day and the classic margaritas were $2.22 - a great deal! My husband had the honey butter chicken sandwich - he really enjoyed it. I ordered the salmon tostada salad, a personal favorite. My daughter always likes the kids mac n cheese. Our server was also super nice and continuously checked in on us. We were seated in a comfortable booth inside and ordered a Pain Killer and a Bahamarita to drink. There were so many great sounding dishes on the menu, and we wound up ordering dinner from the 2 for $25 menu. My daughter got the Grilled Chicken with Cilantro-Crema and I ordered the Stuffed Plantain Bowl. I was originally thinking about getting the Rasta Pasta. I do not eat seafood but our server said that it could be made without the shrimp. This is great to know as I may try it next time. I was looking for a place for a small bite, good drinks, great view, & easy free parking on the way to Clearwater Beach. This was it. I ended up at Bahama Breeze in Tampa two nights in a row while I was in town for work because my hotel restaurant was under renovation -- and honestly, I'm glad it worked out that way. The first night I had a business dinner with my boss. We ordered the seafood paella, mahi mahi, and the jerk chicken wings. The wings were some of the best I've had -- not overly spicy, just packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. I ordered the mahi mahi and really enjoyed it; the fish was cooked just right, and the rice and cherry tomatoes complemented it really well. My boss loved the paella. For dessert, we shared the key lime pie and the flaming pineapple butter cake. The butter cake was fantastic and was the perfect way to end the meal. Service the first night was excellent -- Chris took great care of us and made the whole dinner experience smooth and enjoyable. The second night I went back just for a drink and dessert and sat at the bar. Brian was bartending, and the service was just as good. Great conversation, excellent drinks, and a fun, relaxed atmosphere. I ended up meeting some new people at the bar and really enjoyed the social hour. I also ordered the key lime pie again -- it was that good. Overall, the food was great, the service was excellent both nights, and the atmosphere was exactly what I needed after long workdays. This restaurant is a hopping place! They have a huge parking lot so parking is usually not an issue. I prefer to sit outdoors on the patio or along the bar/counter overlooking the water. I like this location because it's on the water but with the wind blowing like crazy we did sit inside. I feel like the lighting could be brighter indoors it was a little dim to read the menu. Rockefeller was mostly spinach and sauce still had a good flavor but too much for my taste Garlic Butter was just that garlic and butter maybe if they charbroiled them it would have a butter taste Lastly, Jerk! I knew when I saw it I should've passed but anyway it's just like anything else that has jerk in the title. Jerk sauce just brush on the tops and baked for a couple minutes. Then came 6 of the smallest raw oysters I've ever seen. Was tempted to send them back. They're approx 3 bucks each. So not worth the money. Coconut shrimp appy was crunchy with a great dip. The tuna tango salad had some kind of jerk seasoning on the tuna. There was nothing on the menu about this overpowering jerk seasoning. Salad was fine, tuna was a disappointment. The jerk Mahi tacos were ok but the tortillas were grilled and we found them kinda tough. I think the next time we go back it will be for a drink and to listen to the music. read more

This is a chain and the location on the water in Rocky Point. Food (4/5) - Skirt Steak Churrasco - this was actually pretty good! Large portion and they did a nice job of cooking it... tender enough and good flavour... chimichurri was good... bit heavy on the vinegar but liked it. My server brought some hot sauce to try and it was good but hot! Side rice was ok. - Coconut Shrimp - not bad as well. Shrimps were meaty and tender and breading was nice and light. Comes with a lemon mustard dip which was just ok. - Bahama Mama - was not good... nothing like the ones I had in Bahamas tbh Service (4.5/5) YMMV obviously but my server Zak was great. Not a place that I'd come back to. I think this place is hit or miss depending on what you order. I'm more of a health nut so this place was a total miss for me. I started with the dragonfruit margarita. The menu mentions these drinks comes with lime and doesn't say anything about a mix so I probably incorrectly assumed they were freshly made. It was way too sweet. I was perusing the menu and couldn't find a less sweet drink so I asked our server. He suggested the ultimate margarita. It was really strong, but still tasted overly sweet. I also tried my husband's classic margarita and it tasted sweet too. Long story short, if you like fresh margaritas (think we actual lime juice) that's not what you're going to get here. For my main I got the ahi tuna salad. It tasted like it had way too much dressing. I actually brought most of it home and added more lettuce. The tuna was ok, but they drizzle something on it, so it wouldn't taste good standalone. My husband liked his honey butter chicken sandwich and the kids enjoyed the mac and cheese and chicken tenders. Their kids menu is on their regular menu, so this isn't a place that gives kids crayons and something to draw on. The atmosphere of this place is really fun. It's right on the water and they have a large outdoors area. We came in December, so even though it was cold, there were tons of people sitting outside and they had heat lamps. Our server was great and I appreciate how you can order things on a tablet at the table. This is also how we paid our bill so we could leave whenever we wanted. I was diverted to Tampa midnight last night from LaGuardia by Delta who put me up next door 1:30 am. In the sparkling clean Chase Suites Hotel. Very creative! You walk into a vast interior wonderfully SPACIOUS but intimate dining experience. Truly elegant, wonderful, natural . Their outdoor dining area overlooks the water with a great bar. BEAUTIFULLY executed dining experience! I was literally running In to grab something special for my wait at the airport. CARRIE, their " effervescent to-go waitress extraordinaire " was an absolute joy to work with and QUICKLY gave me some excellent recommendations for Ramon my driver to TPA and me.
