My brother went with me and we drove 3cars and none we liked. I drove a Toyota Corolla from 2018. It was a lovely car and I bought it, its a sweet ride. It's useless, unprofessional management systems like this that give car sales a bad name and make people hate buying cars. Before driving 4 hours, I agreed on a $30,500 OTD base price before trade with Dakota Berridge. We already had a 5.74% approval through our credit union, but they don't accept outside state financing. So we did a credit application but Dakota tried telling me my wife's credit wasn't good and tried to cap us at an insane 13.39%. I work in sales, I asked for the Risk-Based Pricing Notice which forces them to show the real credit tier instead of playing rate markup games. He got a little bit offended by that and told me nobody ever asked this in his sales career. Well it's understandable that normal customer won't ask it. Told him we wont do it until its close to 7-8%. Final approval came at 8.24%. When we got to the store, they said he left early. So another salesperson tried to hand us paperwork marked at 10% interest. I caught it and made them fix it to 8.24%. On the finance contract the trade-in tax credit wasn't applied. I caught that too and let it slide in good faith thinking it was just late-night human error. The main problem was when i came home and reading the contract. Somehow I missed that the desk never updated the agreed vehicle price to match our $30,500 OTD math, stuffing a $967 overcharge right into my financed total. When I brought it up right away to Dakota, he said "contracts are signed and funded." A professional dealership doesn't hide behind that excuse when a clerical mistake is made, you honor the agreed price and write a check back to the customer for the difference. I've done this job, and that is how real business is done who not only care about making profit but also their customer. I tried calling every single sales manager on the floor, but nobody answered or returned my calls. I reached out directly to Rich Persiani and Ryan Belcher by phone and email multiple times, and never heard a word back. Leaving a $967 price mistake on a contract isn't just dishonest, it's pure sloppiness from a management team. They only care about profit, not customer service or integrity. Once the car is sold, you get zero help or after-service. I have attached the proof of conversation. If you don't want to get screwed, buy your car from somewhere else where they care about long term relationship with customer and honesty.

I urge the ‍FBI and FEDERAL authorities to investigate this. I can personally attest to this: I took my Range Rover Sport Supercharger there to get a price quote, and they sabotaged its computer system. They disabled the electronics of a car I drove every day and then claimed there had been a pre-existing fault. Now, I can't even drive my car! I do not recommend them to anyone. You will get scammed! The shopping experience and selection has always been good, but my third experience has come to bite me in the wallet. I've owned an Odyssey purchase there for about five years, and a couple years into it I got a flat tire in my garage from a sheet metal screw. Turns out the driver side wheel liner and plastic shield underneath the engine had been reinstalled with sheet metal screws at some point prior to our purchase. I was annoyed and contacted the corporate office only be told that their inspection should not be the basis of a purchasing decision. This vehicle also had a clean Carfax report. This brings me to today. During a recent family vacation, the driver side fender started popping out, pulled the wheel liner that then shredded against the tire, and exposed a rather extensive Bondo job. So my Odyssey now sits in a body shop with about $1,600 in estimated repairs. I was a little too trusting and assumed that these sort of issues would have been discovered prior to selling a vehicle. Really hoping this wasn't a CarMax repair.

The women working at the front desk are there to provide you with nothing but a negative attitude & negative experience. Bought a replacement rim/wheel & a replacement donut/spare for my Cadillac 2005 CTS. Took them directly to my usual tire shop, Brown's Tire Sales off Trabue Rd. John at Brown's tried to put the wheel on, but the center hole was too small, so we realized they sold me the wrong wheel. The donut/spare fit just fine. The replacement & the spare came from two different vehicles. Central City was closed by then, so I took the wrong wheel back 2 days later when I had time. Ladies at front desk argued w me about the wheel not fitting, even though they knew the donut fit just fine. They didn't have another wheel, but said they could order one for me, but I needed one that day. We went back & forth for a few min before one of the girls came around, took the wheel & rudely said "I'm done with this!" She asked for my debit card for the refund, but kept 30% of the credit as a restocking fee. I argued this as well because they gave me the wrong wheel, but she did not care at all. They even had the nerve to act as though I was the one being unreasonable in the situation. They used to have better business practices & etiquette when the place was managed by Jim Mooney, but he's been gone about a year now. Good customer service & customer satisfaction appears to have left with him. I'll never return to Central City for anything & I highly suggest nobody else does either.

I had a serious problem with my AC: it blasted hot air when the car was in motion. My regular mechanic refilled the freon, tried to fix it, and found it was over his head. No charge for the labor, since he couldn't fix it, but $70 for the freon. He recommended I try the Toyota dealership. I went to the dealership, paid for the inspection, $300, which goes towards any work done. Was told I had two problems with the AC: the freon was over-filled, and the motherboard was bad. They guessed that the overfilled freon was the core problem, and the motherboard was causing a minor, unrelated issue. I expressed doubt, because the freon had just been refilled, and the problem had started before refilling it. The rep insisted that this was the most likely explanation, and that they had to refill the freon anyway. $350 for freon, of which $300 was already covered by the exam fee. Meanwhile $1.5k for the motherboard, which they didn't recommend replacing. So I pay for the freon, my rep says the problem's fixed. I drive away and as I do so I am blasted with 105 F air; the problem was not fixed at all, the freon was a red herring. I didn't want to spend $1.5k with a team that had already made one bad call so I decided to get a second opinion and chose Luke's based on their Yelp reviews. Luke's did an exam, $200 or $250, found that the freon was again overfilled, and thought the problem was with the HVAC actuator and quoted 2.3k. Ouch! (It's a lot of labor as they need to take out the entire dashboard.) I talked to both Luke's and the Toyota guys about their different opinions. Luke's was able to give me the error codes from their exam, while Toyota hadn't retained any paperwork at all. Moreover Luke's was willing to do a second exam, for free, to make sure they were right, while Toyota was not. Toyota agreed that if the actuator needed to be replaced, 2.3k was reasonable. I went back to Luke's for the second exam. They stood by their conclusions. So I bit the bullet and asked them to replace the actuator. They gave me a free car to drive while mine was in the shop. Turned out I didn't need it for long: they were able to replace the actuator quickly by going through a vent, rather than taking out the whole dash. This knocked about $1k off the job in labor. And when I got back in the car, lo and behold, it was fixed! I cannot overemphasis my elation. Luke's did better than the dealership, by a lot. They were accurate while the dealership was incorrect. They were scrupulous and offered a second exam for free. They figured out a way to save me money. And best of all they actually did the job. Highest possible recommendation.
