I LOVE edible arrangements! Love them! I also love getting chocolate covered strawberries, those are my Favorite! My closest friends know a box of chocolate covered strawberries is my soft spot. Since edible arrangements became a thing, I've always had at least one yearly delivery. I'm used to the franchise having their boxed refrigerator truck, I could have sworn it was just something all franchises had. This past July I get a knock on my door on a Thursday afternoon and it's a super friendly delivery guy, he says he has a delivery for me. He was so nice and spoke so descriptive of the "wonderful bouquet of flowers and your delicious edible arrangement is here." When I got the two items and took them upstairs I was sad to see the chocolate covered strawberry was melted! I'm not even sure how many there was because the fruit was so dehydrated that it looked like someone left a fruit bowl out at an outdoor picnic. They were not sight worthy. :( I was scared to eat the fruit. The flowers were cute! Love being treated, so even though Edible Arrangements missed the mark on this one, they have been great in the past. When I went back to my phone to thank the sender there was a text from the delivery man with the same message. Would likely not recommend delivery from this location. At least ask how it will be delivered because fruit cannot be put in a hot car. Womp womp! At the price point you're paying, getting an arrangement fresh should be required. I have been a long time customer of Edible Arrangements, but the last two visits to this location have been horrible. I ordered a large arrangement and received about 16pcs of fruit. It was visually sparse. It was a gift, so hopefully the sparseness won't be too noticeable. This location, especially has changed for the worse. Order an arrangement for my daughter's birthday online. Kept calling the Lanham Branch to see when the arrangement would be delivered due to my daughter getting off work. Well at 4:30, I decided to cancel the order. As of April 27th, I have not received my refund. Was told I need to dispute with my bank to receive my monies. What a terrible way to run a business. If I could give more than 5stars, I would. I made an order at 10:00 online and it was ready for me to pickup by noon. The place was very clean and smelled so sweet, it made me hungry. NEVER ORDER FROM THIS EDIBLE ARRANGEMENTS!!!! I placed an order on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 to be delivered on Thursday, April 28, 2016. My friends were home ALL day on the 28th but Edible Arrangements did NOT deliver on the 28th, even though I requested this delivery date. Not only did they not deliver on this date, they did not call or email to say that they would be unable to deliver the arrangement. My friends went out of town on the 29th so there would be no point in trying to send anything beyond that date. I called to get a refund because no product or service was received and instead, I was given extremely poor customer service and was told I would not get a refund. 0 STARS!! DON'T COMPENSATE AND TAKE THE CHANCE!!! I SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS! RUINED SPECIAL OCCASION!! I THOUGHT ABOUT CALLING THE PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICE!! Maybe .5 for the young lady who assisted me with taking my order and .5 for the gentleman who tried to help. I recently ordered from this location on Thursday 8/8 for a Friday delivery and my initial call went well. The young lady assisted me with my order that did not go through over the phone but was nice enough to stay on the line as I place an online order. I was traveling to the area to see my husband after being separated for the past year and wanted to surprise him with multiple gifts going into the weekend. The following day the delivery arrived to our hotel before we did and from moments glance I knew it was sub-par. The extra amenities that I ordered with the arrangement where not on the order and it look as if the arrangement was growing fruit from the grass (basically empty). I phoned the store and spoke with a young lady that was unable to help me an place me on hold for 5 minutes. She later returned to the line and said someone will call you back in 10 minutes.....of course THEY NEVER CALLED! The following morning I called the store to follow up, the gentleman was very apologetic, told me that he would have to reach out to his manager I suppose and assured me that they could either 1. ISSUE A REFUND or 2. REDELIVER THE ORDER. I elected the refund, told him the birthday was over and on top of that I just relocated to the area and we are hotel living. The gentleman acknowledge understanding and reassured me he would called back unlike the day before and that there shouldn't be an issue with the refund. Later that morning I received a call and of course it was not good. Whoever the final decision maker is for this location, DENIED THE REFUND and sent the message that I could receive a 20% refund from my original total or they could redeliver just the extra missing balloon and a box of chocolate covered strawberries. This prompted 2 concerns: 1. 20% refund covers the additional items that were not provided in the original order, so UNACCEPTABLE and doesn't fix the issue. 2. Redelivering an additional balloon and a box of chocolate strawberries isn't what I wanted, so UNACCEPTABLE AGAIN. I explained this to the messenger, who still remained apologetic. I was beyond disgusted and told him to delivered the chocolate strawberries at least the value was worth more than what they were trying to half-way compensate. (As a Christian I will not use curse words or swear but it was tempting I hate to say!!!). BUT WAIT, IT GETS WORST!!! The chocolates were delivered and to my surprise when I looked at my husband face when he opened the box, he was weary at first glance, so I ask what wrong? and I looked. I told him, DON'T EAT THAT!! I didn't give him the opportunity to finish his sentence as he was trying to figure out what was wrong with them. They were wet, the chocolate was separated from the strawberries and the coating was a mixture of dark and light brown flake speckles (almost like old chocolate). I took pictures and trashed them. I am beyond disgusted. I spent over $100 dollars for my husband to receive a bowl of fruit and a balloon that I could have picked up from the grocery store. Whats even worst is my son use to work at edible arrangements in my hometown, so we frequent them often and never had any issues at any other locations. After reading the reviews, maybe the owner of this location needs to reconsider the quality of service provided, go back to the basics and take their customer concerns more seriously. Although I am new to the area, I WILL BYPASS THIS LOCATION, READ OTHERS REVIEWS (as I normally do) and TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. I will also re-post this on another website that allows me to post pictures so you all know I am not kidding. I'm even more upset that I had to write this review. Also, the employees appeared nice and sympathetic, its shameful that they have to work at a place that could potentially make others who walk by this establishment after reading the reviews perceive them as not so great due to the manager/owner who hides behind his/her employees and lets them send the bad messages. Absolutely disgusted and disappointed in the customer service at the Lanham location I placed an order and made sure to speak to someone that the order needed to be sent out 11/19/19 for my cousins birthday and he also lost his dog the day before. Come to find out they NEVER made an attempt to deliver and LIED that they spoke to my cousin to have it rescheduled. I sent an arrangement for bereavement. I received an e-mail stating it was delivered but my friends hadn't received it. I contacted Edible Arrangements The owners of Edible Arrangements personally called me back. After some trouble shooting, Edible Arrangements confirmed that indeed the arrangement was delivered. I had the neighbors address and they apparently accepted the arrangement clearly labeled for my friend, and signed for it. When asked if they received a delivery, they said no. EA replaced the order at no charge! Their customer service was excellent. Such an unfortunate situation was made all the better by this caring act of kindness. I've used this store before and I will use them again. Nothing can replace the loss of their loved one, the family loved it! I can't thank EA enough! As for the neighbors, how terrible! I would give this place a FAT (F) I order two arrangements on the 15th of Feb. to be delivered on the 16th, I received a call asking what time was it coming. I said its not there yet, by this time it was between 430 and 5pm and the receiver had to leave for work. I then called the store and was told that they don't even START delivering to residence homes until after 330...why wasn't I told this I asked? During this time the driver called and said he was having trouble finding the apartment complex so he was told to come back on the 17th around 430. So on the 17th when it was supposed to be delivered again it wasn't and the receiver was told that they RAN OUT OF FRUIT LOL!!!!! So I called to speak with the manager and the young lady gave me their number and I called (the Laurel Store) I spoke with Michelle and I asked her what was she the manager she said yes , so I explained the situation and she proceeded to tell me that I was not telling her the truth about the prolonged delay so I asked for a REFUND and she said that it was not possible because the arrangement was being delivered on the 18th still unacceptable. So I asked her then explain to me why my delivery didn't go out on the 17th like it was supposed to and she said that they didn't have any other deliveries so they couldn't deliver mine......I said what does that have to do with me I paid for a delivery on the 15th and you have not delivered nothing in two days with that being said I need my money back, she began to tell me that the young lady getting the arrangement was very nice and I told her regardless of how nice she was I was the one who paid for the service and it clearly was not done. As for Michelle she was unprofessionally RUDE , disregarded anything I had to say so I emailed the Corporate Office and only until then did some one reached out to me about the POOR SERVICE who was that the OWNER and when he called the first thing he said was (you were calling about a refund) I then said wait let me explain what was going on he then proceeded to say that he wasn't privy to conversation and he could either deliver or refund my order (at the time the order was being delivered).
