Kiddie pool area perfect for toddlers. Two twin slides for the young kids and plenty of chairs and lounges to relax. Their clubhouse is brand new and hosts a check in desk, beer & wine bar, and snack shop. Bring your own food or have theirs it's all good. They just ask that beer and wine are purchased on property. Pool is open Memorial Day to Labour Day approximately. The highlight of the property is the clay tennis courts excellently maintained. 8 courts in all. They have 4 pickleball courts as well. All courts are lighted and well maintained. This club is full of fun/competitive adults and kids of all experience levels. They have a couple on site pro's that can get your game to wherever you want. They also have adult learn to play, men's/women's leagues and competitive tennis all the way up the rating ladder. Club is family owned and they love tennis and pickleball. They both work to put on wine nights, group events, kids pool parties and in my opinion the dues are cheap. Check them out if you need some pool time, a gym, club, tennis/pickle courts or just a sense of community.

great park if you like lighted ball fields and tennis (pickle ball) courts and a large playground…read morefor little people with lots of parking in two well maintained lots which will fill completely up and then some on little league nights... and that's not all! also available for your outdoor fun is a regulation size football pitch with moveable nets, dual bocce courts with a new resilient surface (spongy foam covered with genuine simulated turf, not the fakey stuff) and matching shuffle board lanes... there's a one-mile paved circuit around the perimeter with access to the surrounding neighborhoods - which is really convenient for them and leaves keeps spots available for more distant travelers - the trail markers are not to be trusted as the first quarter mile looks nearly as long as any two of the remaining three but I'm pretty sure the whole thing is around a mile around... and there's an inner loop with five workout stations to drop a little strength and balance work into the middle of your cardio. each station has three different sets of exercises so you have about 250 workout combinations besides the runnings in between... in closing: there are two shelters with seating and toilet facilities and potable water. one by the ball diamonds, the other in the exercircle but there are no train tracks nearby...

The golf course is the best shape of all the times I have played it. The new Champion Bermuda greens were quick, firm and green, all of what you should expect from well-kept bermuda greens. The rest of the golf course is in perfect shape. The tee boxes were a little high for my liking, but that's not a problem at all. After the round, we had drinks and snackies in one of the private rooms connected to the grill. The food is unbelievable. We had cheeseburger sliders, chicken wings, a delicious cheese plate, and the best chicken empanadas I have ever had. The cocktails were strong and tasty. All in all, it was a great day at Trump. The facility is the best in the area without a doubt. I get to play at a lot of high-end private clubs, and Trump is second to none.

My wife and I are those folks who never write a review. But this was such a great experience, and…read morein unexpected ways, that I thought you should all know. We had a Bat Mitzvah reception for our daughter and booked the space several months in advance. In fact, we didn't plan on using River Run, but they were the only ones with the date open. So just luck I guess. However, this turned out to be the best choice we could have made. We spoke to many other providers trying to get a date, or figure out the cost and many were either wildly expensive or didn't have a date available. We looked from Charlotte through Troutman, NC. All up and down the I-77 corridor. In addition, we have very specific and unique requirements. Our son has severe food allergies, no dairy and no nuts.. which rules out lots of different foods, unless the provider is willing to figure it out with us. River Run was surprisingly flexible and creative with all of our requests. They would scratch their head and say ".. Of course, we can figure that out". We were skeptical. The main event was the food. We did not have entertainment or even music. This was primarily a luncheon to honor our daughter's accomplishment. The day before the reception, we wanted to add an arch of balloons, something to make it look even nicer. That same day, the coordinator called us and said ".. We can't do it but I found someone who can and they will have it setup in a couple of hours." They, incredibly, made this happen. Bottom line is that everyone at the reception thought the food was the best they ever had. Many of our guests, know their food. It looked incredible and tasted even better. Somehow, they figured out how to make amazing food with no dairy or nuts. Our son had no problem eating it. Apparently, some of the foods they provided were things they figured out how to do, especially the cupcakes. The point is they were willing, and the food was incredible. In fact, several of our guests, who had never considered River Run, were asking "How did you figure this out?" We were blown away and would go back in a minute, and especially for any further events we have. No reservation about that.

This is the first negative review I have written on any club where I have been a member. The food…read moreis average. The clubhouse facilities are average. The golf staff is outstanding. However, the golf course is always wet due to very poor drainage design. In fact, the driving range, which is one of the big reasons I joined, is closed as often as it is open. The wait staff, with only a few exceptions, is inattentive. My biggest disappointment was that management treated everyone as customers rather than "members." If you love golf, RR may not be the best choice.

They've also recently installed a dirt biking area that looks like fun! I particularly enjoyed the walking trails that surround the park. Some folks were keeping their social distancing, many were not. (September 2020.) The park is in excellent condition, as are nearly all of the Mecklenburg parks.
