Barkbuster install- Yikes
Shaun R.

Wow- Did I pick the wrong dealer to order a bike from- Had money down on a bike for a couple months. Most calls to these folks usually ended in a runaround without any info and or call back- Fun. Kept tracking delivery of the KTM without much info but was told I would get a heads up 4-5 days before the bike arrived of course this did not happen as I had to find out after the fact . So anyways I did finally get an OTD door invoice after more calls, folks here just don't seem to really want to move bikes, I actually don't know what they do but do know that lots of days the people that write your invoice wont be around to answer questions or problem solve. So we set a bike pick-up day, I communicate them well in advance that I would be coming down with a rented trailer and will have final payment and be ready to off into the sunset- Showed up to a brand new bike with scratches and a hacked on barkbuster install. With the wind now out of my sail, my confidence level with the service dept setup is at about a negative ten, I get some guy who doesn't introduce himself and walks me thru what they can do to fix the issues. Fine, Fine - I said ok cool- Guy comes back 10 minutes later "well we have more bad news" KTM issued a vin recall to check out some screws and the bike is locked and they have no further info and can not release/sell the bike. I get this is not the dealers fault but I have information from other riders getting the same bike on the same day with the recall lock, that had dealers actually get the needed fix and performed that work same day so folks could leave with bikes in hand. The concept of customer service is so lacking at this joint its not even funny. Then moving into the next week without a bike again its me begging them to get any info regarding the recall so I can actually get the bike. Phone calls went south, spoke to ownership and the guy just goes off into left field with a completely different version of what went on thru all of this and just starts making things up and saying I have been unreasonable and attacking people and saying I love to argue ? WTF. At the end he says we will sell this bike to someone else and refund your money. Is this the kind of place you would ever want to work with ? Me thinks not, save yourself the mental cruelty and shop anywhere else but here. Yowsa- So glad to be picking up my bike next week from another dealer-)

Walked in with cash in hand to buy a new bike and no one even greeted us or came to talk and show us around.

Website says they work on all kinds of bike. They don't even do oil changes on Honda's, so that clearly isn't the case.

After five…read moredecades living on this earth, I was daring enough to enroll in and attend the riding class through Harley this past weekend. I'd been on a motorcycle for about 1/2 a block more than 40 years ago and had been sure I'd never be convinced to ride another. Eldon, my fantastic instructor took this obese, out of shape (other than round), not-at-all-athletically-inclined female and turned me into a certified (by the skin of my elbow) motorcycle rider! The other instructors, Joe & Brian, were great too, but I mostly interacted with Eldon. He was modest, explained things well and pushed me to do my best, but not in any aggressive way. Most of all he was super encouraging and honest about my skills, downfalls (pun definitely intended) and what he felt would be my next steps to improve my riding skills. I never once felt pressure from him to buy anything or do anything that I couldn't handle. He seems to truly love riding and made it clear he just wants to share his enthusiasm as well as teach people to be safe on the road. I can't say enough thanks to Eldon for making this a great experience for me, I look forward to taking the class again to work on honing my skills and gaining the confidence to ride with the big kids!

What are your insights on elevating the quality of customer experiences in a post-pandemic world?…read moreI'd love to share my perspective. As a loyal customer, I believe that feeling valued and empowered is essential. Even if it means paying a bit more, I'm willing to invest in a relationship built on trust. I also believe in giving businesses the opportunity to make things right when mistakes are made, and I appreciate it when they take ownership of their errors and make amends. Recently, I had an experience with Intermountain Harley Davidson that left me feeling disappointed. Last September, I purchased a Softail, and while I was excited about the bike, I noticed some issues that needed to be addressed. There were five spirit bells and some accessories still on the bike, and the clutch was a bit difficult to shift into neutral. I removed the accessories and bells, and Harley adjusted the clutch. I thought that was the end of the issue, but unfortunately, it was only the beginning. This spring, when I took my bike in for servicing, I was shocked to discover that the oil was dirty, the plugs were black, the brake pads were worn down, and the tires were nearly bald. I took the plugs to Intermountain Harley Davidson and spoke with Blake, the salesperson who had sold me the bike. He acknowledged my concerns and confirmed that the bike had not been properly serviced before the sale. He even went so far as to say that I had been 'screwed over.' He promised to make things right, but unfortunately, he didn't follow through. After being ghosted for a week, I finally got in touch with him, and he offered to give me a free oil change. However, I declined, as I didn't feel that it was enough to restore my trust. As a loyal customer, I had expected more from Intermountain Harley Davidson. I've been doing business with them for 16 years, and I've purchased four bikes from them. My daughters have also purchased bikes from them, and we've always taken our bikes to them for servicing. Unfortunately, this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. My message to others is to be aware of the importance of trust and transparency in business relationships. If you're considering purchasing a bike from Intermountain Harley Davidson, make sure to ask for proof of service. Don't be afraid to speak up if something doesn't feel right, and always get promises in writing. Remember, trust is a two-way street, and it's essential to prioritize it in any business relationship. As I move forward, I'll be taking my business elsewhere, and I hope that Intermountain Harley Davidson will take my experience as an opportunity to reflect on the importance of building trust with their customers.

I used to recommend this place to everyone I know. Unfortunately, after my last visit, that's over. While I was there, one of the employees -- I didn't catch his name, but he has a Harley logo with wings tattooed on his hand and a tattoo on the side of his head -- made extremely inappropriate and racially offensive comments right in front of me. I was stunned. If an employee feels comfortable saying something like that in front of a customer, I can only imagine what's being said when customers aren't around. That's not just unprofessional -- it's unacceptable. I've spent thousands of dollars here over the years, but after this, I can't continue supporting a business that allows this kind of behavior to happen on the floor. I truly hope management takes this seriously and addresses it immediately, because situations like this damage customer trust and the store's reputation.

Not the most organized or clean or shiny place on the planet, in fact it's the patina that really gives it the charm. No, it's not that part that makes it difficult. It's the part where you try to separate the shop from the owner. In the end, you just can't separate Caesar's from Caesar. Caesar is a larger than life character whose eclectic life and personality just oozes out of his shop. He's been a fixture in Midvale City there on State Street and a giant in the SLC motorcycle community. As an outsider to that community, even I know who the guy is. Visit. Meet him. You won't forget it. In fact, he's such a big personality that he's been immortalized by UDOT. Next time you go underneath the TRAX bridge at about 7900 South on State Street, look over on the east side of the road to the concrete wall. There are cut metal art pieces depicting Midvale's past like the old Sharon Steel site. At about the middle of the concrete you'll see a dude on an old school bicycle (the kind where you sit atop a giant wheel) and he has a parrot on his shoulder. That's an homage to Caesar, who has been known to ride an old school bicycle with a parrot on his shoulder. So yes, do check out the shop. But at this point know that it's as much about the "Caesar" in the title as it is about the "Motorcyle Parts & Service" part.
