I was referred to Edge Endodontics by my dentist at Kola family Dentistry. I needed to get a root canal done under a newly set permanent crown. I saw Dr. Salmeron and her assistant Selena. I was grateful that Dr. Salmeron and Selena were both very direct and kind. Dr. Salmeron worked on me in a relaxed, lowkey way that was gentle and efficient. I felt like this was the most gentle root canal experience I've ever had. I appreciate that they gave me a follow up call this morning. Everyone hates going to the dentist. But if you have to get a root canal go here. I was referred here by my dentist at Legend Dental (Dr. Lin is awesome!) and Dr. Zac who did my root canal was efficient, effective and almost like a phantom. He was there, did the thing and then he was gone. Miranda was the one who made sure I was not freaking out. Internally I was near tears and clenched my fists the entire time but she checked in and tried to make me as comfortable as anybody can...She was so soothing, gave very clear instructions but also thank god for the laughing gas add on. It's $200 out of pocket, so you bet I was inhaling DEEP. It was less than 45 minute of work since I only had one root whereas my experience at another place took 3 hours (but that tooth had 3 roots). I was expecting another traumatizing experience but aside from the bill, it was as good as it can get for having to get a root canal done. I appreciated how fast it was and the post care instructions. I was sore the rest of the day but I didn't need to take Tylenol as suggested. read more

This was my first time coming to Edge Endodontics. I do have anxiety when it comes to dentists and I am on the lookout for good recommendations. I had to have 2 retreatments done, which means that an old root canal has to be redone. Then I had to have a regular root canal done. Dr. Salmeron did all of the procedures. I seemed to have some healing issues of my own after the retreatments, but after awhile I was good to go. I saw Dr. Salmeron several times after the procedure to make sure that I was doing well. She never lost her patience, she showed concern and adjusted my pain medication as needed. After about a week and a half, I was fine. She performed a regular root canal on me, and I no pain whatsoever and no problems at all. I healed well from that procedure. I would highly recommend Dr. Salmeron and her staff. They took care of my billing and insurance, they were friendly and concerned when I called in with questions. If I have to have another root canal, which I hope that I don't, I would come back to her anytime. If you are looking for a great dentist, look no further! read more

We were referred to Dr. Salmeron for a root canal. Based on our insurance they incorrectly looked up, we were told we'd have to pay for the procedure out of pocket up front. After the receptionist looked up found our correct insurance, they didn't accept, we still had to pay and will have to file our own claim later. Unfortunately my son was in far too much pain to cancel. The assistant insisted I leave the room while they perform the procedure, rudely suggesting that I might pass out. At my son's behest I waited in the lobby. Rather them focus on him than being concern about the large man in the corner. As for the good doctor and her bedside manner; in a word impeccable. She was thorough and concise and accommodated my son to insure he was completely comfortable. They made sure we understand everything. If you can drop $2500 up front, the insurance is a minor inconvenience. I suggest calling ahead and making sure they are contracted with your PPO. That's my only knock on them honestly. read more

Dr. Salmeron is hands down the most professional and communicative dentist I've ever been treated by. She explained the root canal retreatment process and gave me a quick X-ray 101 crash course on dental imaging. Very interactive and someone you can trust automatically. The process was very quick and said to call her if I had any questions. Moreover, her staff was incredibly amazing. They were very transparent about pricing and what my insurance covered and explained the entire process. Josie, who assisted Dr. Salmeron with the procedure was incredibly kind, helpful and fast. Talk about impressive!!! Hands down would have another root canal done at this office should I need it (and please heavenly Father, let me be done with root canals!)... Dr Salmeron should have Diagnostician added to her title. I was sent there on a referral for other teeth and she was able to determine that the issue was coming from another area completely! She was thorough and kept looking for the cause rather than just saying "whelp, your dentist was wrong." And when you are actively in pain, you want your providers to be your advocate and Dr Salmeron most definitely was. I also want to give a shout out to her technician Kristy. Honestly y'all, Kristy should be out training others on how to place the x-ray equipment in such a way to cause minimal discomfort to the patient. We had to take 6 or more x-rays of my very back teeth - I think only one time out of the 6 did I have any sort of gag reflex, which is amazing! Paid close to $400 for a cone beam scan and analysis only to have an 8 min review and not have my concerns taken seriously. I have a whole mouth of teeth that could have been reviewed thoroughly not only the one I had concern with. It's why I chose to have the scan done. Trust your gut. Not all dentists know to how treat the whole patient holistically. Root canals aren't the answer and in this case I wanted more time to discuss having the root canal tooth removed not replaced, but I was rushed out with a cold uncaring, could not be bothered experience. read more

The staff was amazing, the office was very clean, and Dr. Yuliya Salmeron was very efficient. The low rating however is for the attitude of Dr. Salmeron. As a person with anxiety, her energy was extremely negative. I was on the fence for receiving the nitrous but as an anxious person she nearly insisted I get it. However, right before she said "it's going to match the mood you're in, so if you're set on it being scary it can make it worse." Talk about TMI, I'm sure that's good information to have however right before was bad timing. Luckily I was able to keep myself in good spirits and only cried a couple times. Again, I have severe anxiety and I'm not sure she has the patience or understanding for anxiety. I can't stress enough how amazing and supportive the staff was, this is only reviewing Dr. Salmeron's attitude. The next issue I had is that while I did cry a couple times (to which only the staff/assistant asked if I was ok), I don't feel like I delayed the procedure. While Dr. Salmeron was finishing with my service she began complaining about timing and talking about lunch breaks and the overall schedule. This really made me just feel like another number instead of a patient being cared for. I know she's very busy and in high demand but this doesn't need to be discussed with performing a root canal on someone. To top it all off, she proceeded to reprimand the assistant in front of me telling her to not mix some kind of tools and saying in an annoying tone some color coding she had clearly complained about before. You can sense that the room got tense when she was in the room. If you want an efficient doctor and aren't worried about feeling comfortable, this is the place for you. If you have any amount of anxiety...I urge you to look elsewhere. read more
