This comes across very clearly in every decision and choice he makes to select materials, plants, products, etc. He also consulted me before every design decision was made, from the the height of the step leading to the backyard, to the exact color of the cement, to the exact placement of the plants before the digging took place. Another designer may have gone ahead and planted the plants per the architectural design, but Harley has this innate understanding that people change their minds when they see things actually laid out, or after they have time to think about the project as it it progressing. It is this insightful understanding about human nature, that greatly reduces stress during the project as you come to trust and appreciate these rare qualities that you don't find in most people. We also had a backyard with a 40 degree slope and was difficult to access and navigate. Both owners Malika & Alex came out and listened to our concerns and shared their vision on how to transform our side yard and backyard slope into something that addressed all our concerns. They even provided one the spot renderings so we could envision what the final outcome would be. I can't begin to explain how they turned our project into something that is showcase quality. Their attention to detail and professionalism is of the highest standards. The crew were respectful of property, genuinely professional and they completed our project in record time. I wish I had read these reviews before hiring out Jesse and his crew…read more We have a backyard where a portion of it gets real "swampy" and we wanted to have a barrier system put in to help drain away the excess water; and, at the same time, have a new lawn put in. First, they came out a day later than they had told us. Then, there was the language difficulty as the actual workers spoke Spanish but no English. (By the way, we never saw Jesse come out to supervise or check their work). We were told the barrier would would go around the lawn, but they only dug out one side. Then, the sod was laid in with very little preparation for the soil and that is evident now as some brown patches have appeared where the soil was quite hard before. The results was absolutely nothing improved - the yard is still getting swampy and when I said something to Jesse, all of a sudden his English wasn't so good! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. THEY DON'T DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL DO AND THE END RESULT IS NOT ANY BETTER THAN BEFORE!!
