They fixed my car perfectly on both occasions I have been to other auto repair shops and the pricing was significantly higher. Turns out it needed spark plugs and coils and I also got an oil change while I was there. Car runs perfectly once again! Try this place and you won't be disappointed. They properly diagnosed the problem as a bad wheel bearing/hub and got it taken care of quickly. The car is now running great and is noticeably smoother and quieter. What impressed me most was the professionalism, communication, and the feeling that I could trust what I was being told. Brian was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience easy. I also really appreciate how connected Pro Auto is with the local community and how involved they are with community events. As someone who lives in the area, that means a lot to me and makes me feel even better about supporting a local business. It's not always easy finding an auto repair shop you feel comfortable trusting, but I definitely found one here. Highly recommend Pro Auto and Brian. I'll absolutely be back for future service.

When I was last at the dealership service center for an oil change last summer, I got a huge list…read moreof services my car (2016 Mazda CX-5) was due for. Considering my car is 10 years old and that I've been putting off some of the services for a while, I decided that it was time to get those done; however I didn't like the price that I was getting from this place or the other Mazda service centers I called. I figured I'd give a local shop a try and I'm extremely glad I did! From the very first call I was already feeling good about these guys. Lee picked up the phone pretty quickly; I asked if I could email the list of services to them and get their quotes, and he said no problem and gave me their email. He also answered a few other questions I had and kept everything effortless and professional. After I emailed them I got a quick reply from Brian who also answered my questions and provided the quotes, which were much more reasonable! It was very easy to make an appointment for my car, and even when I had to reschedule there was no trouble doing so. I dropped my car off in the morning and met both Lee and Brian who were both very friendly and personable. Their waiting room is comfortable with a TV, a fridge with water, and even some toys to keep kids occupied while you wait. Since I was leaving my car for the day I brought my Onewheel electric skateboard, which Lee saw, and he showed me his e-bike and we talked a bit about PEVs (personal electric vehicles) before I rode my Onewheel back home. My car was ready for pickup by the end of the day as they said it would be, and it's been running great ever since! I also recently got an oil change there and it was probably the fastest one I've experienced from giving them the keys to getting them back (no more than 45 minutes, compared to the dealership service center where I've waited ~90 minutes on average). Everything has been uncomplicated with no surprises so far! Aside from the quick and straightforward work that they do, I also appreciate that they have a rewards program that helps you save money on future services. They are also regular sponsors of local events and are a big part of the community. It feels much better bringing my car to a local shop that supports and gives back to the community rather than going to a dealership that doesn't really do that. I'll definitely be returning here again!

I have always been a believer that honest mechanics are few and far between. I moved to Evanston…read morerecently and have been in need of a mechanic because of a loud noise when accelerating and tires were worn down. I spoke to a few shops and went to Sam's because of the discussion we had and how respectful Mo was. I ended up paying a fraction (literally 10%) of what a couple other shops had estimated for me. On top of that, he worked with me to work around my schedule. As long as I live in Evanston (or are nearby), I will be going to Sam's to see Mo and team. (Posted this on Google Reviews as well because how much I appreciate the shop!).

I took my car to this shop after my airbag was stolen because they were one of the few places open…read moreon a Saturday that claimed they could handle the repair. They had decent reviews online, so I gave them a chance. Unfortunately, this turned into one of the worst repair experiences I've ever had. Right away, Sunny tried convincing me to include unrelated scratches and dents in the insurance claim and suggested I tell insurance they were caused by the vandalism. I refused and only authorized repairs related to the theft. The shop has signs everywhere about $175/day storage fees. When I specifically asked about them at drop-off, I was told no storage fees would apply because my car was being repaired. That turned out to be false. What they don't clearly tell you is that they may start charging storage fees while waiting for parts, even when delays are outside your control. In my case, they knew from day one that airbags were on backorder due to widespread thefts and recalls. Despite that, they later claimed they "had no idea" parts would take so long and suddenly tried billing over $4,000 in storage fees. At no point did they notify me that storage charges had started accumulating. I only found out after they tried billing my insurance company. When insurance refused to pay, the shop told me I would have to pay and "maybe" get reimbursed later. Communication was terrible throughout the process. I constantly had to chase them for updates through ignored texts and repeated phone calls. I dealt mostly with Sunny and AJ, but neither seemed to know the full status of my repairs. The final straw was when they claimed my car needed dealership recalibration after the airbag replacement because dashboard warning lights were on. They insisted this was absolutely necessary and said the dealership quote was around $1,250. They even texted me saying my car had already been dropped off at the dealership. Three days later, after I followed up again, I learned they had never actually taken the car there. Suddenly the quote had "changed" and they were supposedly calling around for better prices. None of this was communicated proactively. At that point, I picked up my car because I no longer trusted them. They tried hard to convince me not to take it, saying the vehicle was unsafe to drive because of the warning lights. They also refused to release the car unless I paid several days of storage fees. Ironically, less than five minutes after leaving the shop, every warning light on my dashboard turned off. I then contacted multiple dealerships myself and physically brought the car to two. Every dealership told me the airbag module did NOT need recalibration. So this shop was attempting to keep my car longer and push insurance to approve a repair that apparently wasn't even necessary. To make matters worse, the detailing work my insurance paid for was sloppy. There was still glass inside the vehicle after pickup, and they tried charging insurance to replace an interior door panel for "water staining" instead of simply cleaning it. I cleaned it myself. Bottom line: avoid this shop if you value transparency, communication, or honesty. My experience involved constant delays, poor communication, and threats of excessive storage fees while they tried to maximize insurance payouts.

The car was in a horrific state after being flooded during the storm…read more The customer service was just excellent. I had my car detailed after flooding from a recent storm. The job was not perfect but they did a good job with cleaning for the pricey detailing they charged me. The water continued flowing in even after the detailing. Pretty much everything was moved around and not put back in place. The steering wheel, the cup holder, the rearview mirrors. Initially when I turned my car on I got an red screen of death, but fortunately, after I adjusted the steering wheel back in position, it cleared off and got back to normal. My driving glasses disappeared, some items were broken in the process of cleaning. They threw away my wet towels that I was using to clean out the water and some other items which I wasn't too pleased with. It could have been put in a plastic bag instead of taking the liberty to throw away. The garage wasn't exactly near me in the 60626 neighborhood which was a hassle to get to and back. Many of the causes were obviously from the water flooding. Either way, it was cleaned enough to at least get me dried out from the flooding. In the long run I've been happy to be in a clean car.

I brought my 2018 Volkswagen Passat here after an intermittent EPC light came on. I trusted Mike to…read moredo a simple diagnostic scan, and to check my brakes. What I got was something different than what I was told. This was an attempt to scam me with unauthorized repairs. During the first call from Mike, he claimed it was a fuel injector harness. During the second call, he asked me to look at the email he sent me. He did not verbalize to me what was inspected and what he needs to do. I am to be asked before any repairs are made. I was called "sweetie" by Mike a number of times, a no-no in a male dominated industry. He gave conflicting stories about the battery not working, even though I drove the car in and had no prior issues, and told me he had to replace the battery. I debated with Mike about that because that was not true. He did not discuss the fuel injector harness, after that. The invoice stated that the battery was changed, the car was test-driven, and the issue was resolved, seemingly, along with other repairs that he claimed verbally and on the invoice were completed. He claimed he changed a bulb for the left lower beam that I had not asked him to check or replace. Mike said he thought I was a "nice lady" and decreased my bill. He said they put on the invoice that the repairs are made even though they haven't done the work. I confronted him over the phone demanding that he NOT do any more repairs on my car after figuring out what was going on. His stories conflicted again when he said he did not do any work on the car and denied what he told me from our second conversation. He asked me to pick up my car and said he did not want my money, after I told him that I would only be charged for the diagnostic fee, everything else he did was on him. Mike thought I was an easy target. He told me the car would be finished the following Monday because he attempted to get me to agree for him to do the work by showing me the invoice that says the work was completed, without telling me what he inspected and what he needed to do. He did not verbalize what the diagnostic results were or tell me about my back brakes. The invoice was his so-called legal stance to say I gave permission. The diagnostics and what needs to be done should have been on the invoice, not that the repairs were made so he could actually do them later, which is why he decreased the bill for the repairs. I have both copies. Had I not said anything, he would have made the repairs, but the EPC light was not discussed. After leaving the shop, the EPC light returned, so he was only going to make repairs for other things I did not consent to and charge me without repairing the fuel injector harness he claimed was the issue. The codes were cleared, and I found that out by taking my vehicle to a reputable auto repair shop the same day who did not charge for a diagnostic fee and disclosed that the codes were cleared. I have to continue to drive the car until the EPC light returns for them to clearly diagnose the problem. I left a voicemail at the shop and emailed the manager, Shadi Qawaati and did not receive a call back or a response to my email. I cannot make this up and I do not have to lie. This was a scam because I am of the opposite sex. Thank you Gateway for allowing me to see the hidden craftiness of shady men who operate in this industry against innocent people, especially women. I researched the issues with my vehicle and that is why I was able to spot this as a scam. Women beware.

The BEST in the Business! I can't say enough good things…read moreabout Beezee Body Shop. After multiple unfortunate incidents involving my Mazda CX-5, caused by third parties, they have proven time and again that they are the absolute best in the business. If you're looking for experienced, talented, and above all, trustworthy professionals, stop searching now. My first experience was when a Mazda dealer recommended them after a reckless driver hit my parked, accident-free CX-5. I was extremely anxious, but BeeZee owner was wonderfully kind and assured me the car would be restored so perfectly that no one would ever know the damage occurred. They delivered on that promise completely; the car was back in pristine condition! Unfortunately, I had two more incidents: a hit-and-run on my driver's door and then significant roof and sunroof damage from a faulty garage door sensor. These were complex repairs, but the Beezee team handled them seamlessly. The owner once again assured me of a perfect outcome, and true to their word, I picked up my car on time and it genuinely looked brand new again. This is a stark contrast to bad experiences I've had at other shops in Miami, FL (work so poor it made me sell the car). Beezee is the complete opposite. It's clearly a welcoming, family-owned establishment, and their integrity is exceptional. I am a thoroughly satisfied customer. They even handle mechanical work and I now use them for all my oil changes and regular maintenance. I wholeheartedly recommend Beezee Body Shop if you want showroom-quality results and professionals you can truly depend on.
