I was from out of town and trying to move my son's furniture into storage when we had a flat tire on the trailer at 6PM on a Monday night. Trying to find anyone to help was almost impossible. Thankfully, we finally found Rose Towing and they worked with us to get the trailer towed somewhere that would change the tire for us in the morning. I would say they were VERY helpful and VERY professional, and I would recommend them. read more

If I could give a zero star I would. One of the tow trucks tried to repo my car while I was inside it. Instead of leaving and trying again when I'm not in the car, he takes my keys because my window was open and he unlocked and opened my door without my permission. He takes my key fob and he knows he wrong so he books it before I could call the cops. This happened at 5am when it was raining so my windows are down and my car is getting wet and I'm in the cold. If they did it casually to me the have done it to others. And while I'm not a client, this shows their ethics and professionalism. If they treated me this way the definitely treat others like this. read more

These ignorant inhumane ppl in the skokie location, specifically the lady. Lord have mercy on there souls. I take accountability on the why, but when you have devils like her trying to provoke you on the phone and in person, it's a wonder why they stay behind bullet proof blackout glass!! I called perfectly pleasant both days and they THREW all of my items in a nasty a$$ box!! I'm currently living in a shelter and was storing items in my vehicle. They said my items would be placed in a bag!! This is the most inhumane act I've ever experienced in my almost 50 yrs of life, and that includes being currently homeless!!! There's a special place in hades for ppl to do things like this. read more

Rose Towing - They just threw all of my items in this nasty box like the animals they act like. I hope you believe in KARMA!! - Towing Near Me - Skokie, Illinois

Extremely disappointed. I paid everything required to get my vehicle back, but the process after payment has been a nightmare. I spent hours on hold with GM Financial just trying to make a payment, and once everything was finally completed, I was told my vehicle was at Rose Towing & Recovery. Because of the unexpected early closure, I couldn't retrieve my vehicle before the weekend, leaving me without transportation until Monday. Customers who are doing the right thing and paying what they owe deserve better communication, better customer service, and better coordination. No one should have to waste days just trying to get their vehicle back after they've already paid. I hope management takes this seriously and improves the process so others don't have to go through what I did. read more

Isn't it so interesting that a company can stalk public parking lots, looking for cars that allegedly have late payments, on a Sunday, a day they won't answer the phone? My wife was stranded miles away from me, based on a "late payment" that our bank doesn't seem to know about. If any of the snakes from this "business" want to avoid issue, they should figure out how to have a good business model. And if they want to charge me for my car being impounded overnight, they'll have to explain why I couldn't reach them the day they stole it from me. read more

I returned my deceased husband truck back to Wells Fargo, They used Rose Towing to pick it up on Wednesday 4th 2026 at night. Jose Rose came and got it. Witness to a towing in Lakeview East today at 2:20 PM on my walk where the driver in a Rose Towing truck was going the wrong way on the road yet was screaming at traffic going the right way. One car tried to maneuver around him the other didn't. So he yelled at the car that moved around "dumb f*cking Asians" allegedly alluding to the car that didn't move in which there was an Asian driver. Abhorrent. read more

No one likes their car being towed.. but they are professional and polite about it and efficient in their service

I find it very hard to believe some of these negative comments. My husband and I have used Rose Towing for over 15 years and know them to be very friendly and professional. They have taken very good care of our cars, and towing our motorcycles which requires knowledge of how to best strap them down. I have ridden with them during a tow because they'll go out of their way to be helpful. We have never had a disappointing experience and we've used them multiple times. read more

Plus my window sticker wasn't included in my items. A bunch of theives in that place. Hurry up and retrieve your stuff!!!!!! read more

Rose Towing Recovery is a fraud they talk to people like their kids and belittle them also they charge all these fees fraudulent due to what tow place is close on the weekends they do that to make people pay fees and who close a tow place at 4pm on a Friday if close on the weekend they need to be shut down and I will be putting in a complaint to the BBB ASAP read more

Horrible horrible horrible experience. They tore up my lawn taking my car. Charged me $40 a day to hold my possessions, which they stripped from the car. They close early on Friday (2pm) so they can charge you for over the weekend because they are not open Saturday and Sunday and they create these bs fees to build up the price. My best advice to you is to avoid them and anyone who uses their service because they are snakes and thieves. Another thing, right next to them used to be a company called Rosehill towing. Probably the same people but they changed their name to try and stay a step ahead of their horrible reputation. CRIMINALS WITH TOW TRUCKS! read more

Where do I start! Well here's the background, the car was given back to the bank and repossessed by Rose Towing in Skokie. Story: After they took the car, we (my husband and I) went to retrieve personal items from the towed vehicle. Upon arrival I was told that in order to receive my personal items, I needed to pay $130 for "processing and storage" of the vehicle which by law the debtor IS NOT responsible to pay- refer to Illinois Legal Aid. We asked for an invoice before payment and they also refused to do this. So to clarify, they wanted me to pay for something without a receipt or an invoice aka written proof of fees incurred. After going back and forth they provided a "receipt" that stated the cost to retrieve items and storage is $0!!! Check the pictures! We proceeded to contact the police and ultimate paid $0 to retrieve personal items. Long story short. KNOW THE LAW. GET RECEIPTS and INVOICES. DONT SIGN UNTIL YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON! Rose Towing has some questionable practices and unethical policies and procedures. Caveat Emptor. Seriously. read more

My car was repoed one morning by them and I had issues getting a hold of them. When I finally did they told me to come get my things out of my car at a certain time period. So when I finally got there they had helped themselves to put all my things in clear plastic bags mixing breakable to none breakable. Plus going through everything of mine including my jewelry and stealing some of it including over $200 sunglasses I had in a black fabric bag. They stole some jewelry that had sentimental value to me such as a real pearl necklace and a charm that had a real pearl in it. I called when I noticed the sunglasses was gone and they told me they weren't a business that steals and they would call me back but they never did. I know that my stuff was searched because I had a pair of costume earrings that are now broken with empty jewelry casing. read more

I unfortunately had my car repossessed, during this virus due to the obvious.... I wire transferred the full amount due the next day, the money due was instantly received and noted... I still waited over 8 days to finally get my car..... Let me say the guy with blonde hair was a super nice guy , and has way more potential than to work at a bottom of the barrel company.... Let's start with this is a 2018 glc 300 average Mercedes nothing special however it is my car and I deserve to have it returned to me in the same condition it was taken in and it wasn't.... Neither fob worked properly, all the way home the hood is open light , buzzer we going off with the hood clearly closed and latched... Next my rear licens plate frame was pulled away from the car sticking out 2" or do.... Next " I have a black leather interior" my car had white stuff all over the inside of my car "probably baby powder to cover thier marijuana smoking smell." also I was taken with 4 bars of gas "a little under half" it was returned with 2 bars that means someone used a quarter tank to joyride, which explains the smell of marijuana in my car.....also my rear hatch manual switch was ripped off and thrown in back of the car. I filled a complaint, with american recovery that's the company that actually tows the car, because Rose towing is refusing to even address the issues, they think my insurance or factory warranty should pay for thier mistakes and blatant disrespect for other people's property..... I'm also going to file a police report for vandalism, and what ever else I can....I'm a small business owner myself and I'd be out of business if I treated people like this.... They shouldn't be in business, and need to be stopped destroying people's property. I understand things happen, but you fix them and tell the client you made a mistake.... Not push your negligence off on your insurance or warranty company.... They did it they are going to pay.... "I promise" I'm lucky my farther in law is a criminal attorney,, I'm going to pay my employees to give them similar reviews a few days next week , just so more people can hear the truth.... They are capable of better business, I will keep you posted on the out come, I'm considering a class action lawsuit, if you are interested please get ahold of me through mike468chevy@gmail.com.... Thank you .. read more

Had my car towed the other day. Joe was such a nice man and made sure I even got into my home okay....highly recommend

calling for information, the guy was professional. upon arriving your blindsided with black tinted windows and if your lucky they will see if your there if not you wait till someone comes and sees people. they have signs all over mixed to say the least one sign says credit cards the other says cash only. not enough seating. the wait is horrible once you sign the papers. they make you wait for them just to figure out where the car is. i waited one hour and 15 minutes from the moment i signed paperwork to have someone who was there less time then me go before me then upon getting vehicle its literally stripped. they take out everything. WHY??? pictures, plugs, phone holder, seats are stepped on and dirty. everything you had in car they push into one big blue bag and your are to figure out from there. it was fine till you get there. inspector should check this place out. read more

read the reviews!!! be careful. These people are theives!!! my car got repossessed so i went to retrieve my items. After them dumping my items in the back of the building like garbage I went through it all and noticed ALOT of my items were missing, even a big item in a box. When i asked they said they took everything out, i asked if they can look again. load and behold they bring out another BIG bag. Then I mentioned my item that was in a box, "there was nothing". After looking 3 TIMES!!!! he walk out with my box! that was coincidentally in the back pf the building inside "mislabeled" . If i never went back, I would of never got all my stuff back. They will steal your stuff! Please remember what you left. Also if you have anything that might break, be aware it might be broken. read more

This guy Joe, towed my motorcycle and didn't make it to the shop for another 2 1/2 to 3 hours and it was only a 40 minute drive. he made a stop on the way (while having my bike on his truck) which he admitted to, and that was totally unprofessional! He knew the shop closed at 5pm, which I told him several times, but he got there at 6:30pm. When they received the motorcycle, they received it in pieces. I helped Joe load the bike and there were no damages that weren't a part of the original accident. I called Joel several times that night and the next day to make sure my bike made it to the shop and he didn't answer any of his phones - the shop phone nor his cell phone, They were all Going straight to voicemail. Long story short, when I got my motorcycle from the repair shop it was in pieces and they said that's how they received it. Apparently Joe dropped my bike while on his truck or he intentionally damaged it some other kind of way. When I called him, he pretended to have Covid and he lied profusely. I have a claim against roadside because I received my motorcycle back in worse condition than when I had it towed originally and it was all due to Joe's negligence. He is a crook. Beware and STAY AWAY! read more

First time here. Came to get my car and as I am waiting for them to give me back my car, there are 2 blonde women working and they are very unprofessional. I question the integrity and practices of this business. They are vague and unhelpful on the phone. In my experience they would not volunteer information in an efficient manner so I would have to call multiple times to try and get informative answers so I could comply with the requirements to redeem my car. The staff on the phone are rude despite my attempts to be as polite and receptive as I could be. The hours of operation are very limited and with the lack of efficiency and cooperation of the staff, I strongly believe that they were trying to maximize the amount of time my car was in storage for. Accepting only day of appointments enhances scheduling conflicts for most but that would be because of their questionable business practices again. They accept cash only with no opportunity to distribute change. I am glad I asked if they dispensed change, had I not, they would continue to maximize on my car being stored there. I am glad I spoke with the "middle man" company directly, had I not they tried to charge me hundreds** of dollars exceeding $500 of which I called the middle man company and I was advised that per their contract they were prohibited from charging more than $150, had I not called to cross reference I would have provided this company with $500+ and there would be no paper trail to document that due to their cash only and no change policies. The middle man then proceeded to correct the amount directly with Rose Towing. This company preys on vulnerable people who they presume will not call the middle man company to familiarize themselves with the process and procedures. I can only wonder how many other people they took more than $150 from... read more
