So a few weeks ago a GrubHub driver wasn't paying attention and took the drivers side back door off the Jeep. The tow truck driver recommended Elite on Jarvis. So off went my Jeep in drivable. The next day I went to gather some stuff from my vehicle. The staff was so polite and down to earth. Total of repairs on my Jeep were around $2400. Professional from start to finish and they kept in contact to let me know what they were ordering (all manufacturer parts) and an estimated time which they were spot on. My Jeep looks like it does the day I drove it off the showroom floor! If you are ever in an accident in Rogers park tell them to take it to Elite on Jarvis. They work with all insurances. During the several day freeze in December my old battery died in the cold. After several calls to various services with long time estimates and prices I could have gambled an afternoon away on in a casino, if I could have gotten there, I checked there. Day one, I drop my car Freddy and his twin immediately ask if I'm interested in selling my car. "That's a twin turbo V8 huh" Freddy shop manager asks. Then tells me him and his twin are big BMW guys... Shop lies. Brought my car in for a t-bone passenger side only non liable accident. They have ZERO QA PROCESS. The shop called me 5x's to come get my car only to find nobody checked the work. 3rd time they damaged my car's front end. My car's original issues were solely on the passenger side. They're a preferred State Farm body shop so they have lots to lose. They even rushed the cover-up repairs for the front end damage they attempted to blame on a tow truck. Am I a spurned customer? From the first phone call to Elite On Jarvis, Joe, the owner was an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only did he accommodate my time sensitive repair, he was friendly, twice as knowledgeable as any dealer and a consummate professional. Joe reassured me that my truck would be repaired the very next morning and true to his word, when I asked him how long he expected the job to take, his reply was "about an hour or so". Now for anyone reading this review, let me tell you how groundbreaking and innovative that is: most car dealers will give you anywhere from a 2 to 7 hour time window, and as we all know, it's usually longer and carries over into the next day or by the early evening hours before you can pick up your vehicle. Not only was the work done on time, Elite provided door-to-door service since I lived close by and Kim could not have been more upbeat, professional, or kind. When he brought my repaired truck to my door to pick me up, the truck looked nothing less than brand new! Furthermore, Joe assisted me with a buff job due to some vandals who had sprayed parts of my door, as Joe pointed out. We needed to have a Hyundai repaired after another attempted theft (#3). The company that repaired the car the first time took 8 weeks to get parts and make repairs, losing trim pieces and parts along the way and requiring us to initiate status calls. Elite On Jarvis was quite the opposite. They were diligent about keeping us informed as the progress of our repairs. They were friendly, accommodating and very professional. This place is excellent on all counts. I had to bring my car here for some body work and they did an excellent job. The car looks like new. They treated me well from day one. They were transparent about how long the job would take upon dropping it off and finished it in that length of time. I got updates from them via text so I always knew what was happening. The final day, as I was not driving due to a back surgery I had recently had, they drove the car back to me. I live close, but still this was a much appreciated service. As for value, this was something I coordinated through my insurance and my insurance paid. As well, I have not had car repairs done before, as I have never needed them, so I can't really compare. I just know I got my car back looking like new, in a timeframe that worked for me and was treated with respect from the very beginning. Came into town to visit my sister. Van started to make loud noises and I couldn't figure it out. Called Elite first thing in the morning. They fit me in. Easily diagnosed the issue with a loose heat shield hitting drive train. They focused on just the issue vs the million other things the van "needs". I am so disappointed to write this. This garage seems to get great reviews. I used to feel this way too. I believed in them! This is also a very old review; maybe they've sinced changed? Eight (+/-) yrs ago I brought my pick-up here. I used to love Elite--4+ stars--or so I thought... They were quick, fair priced, and conveniently located by the Red-Line. No cab, bus, or ride needed. My truck was older (90s). So, it seemed sensible that it needed frequent repairs. At my final visit, I had a loud engine ticking noise. I brought it in as I always did. To my horror the owner told me the engine was "shot." He said it needed to be replaced. A $4000+ job. So, I took a deep breath and decided to hold off for now. What I then privately did was get a second opinion (and a third and a fourth) due to the expensive repair Elite recommended. No one else even suggested I would need a new engine. I was finally told by a trusted mechanic (family member) that all I had was a collapsed lifter. I simply changed the oil's viscosity by myself, and my problem was solved. I then washed my hands of Elite on Jarvis. MY LESSON: Don't go here! I regret not filing a formal complaint back then to the BBB. Zero (0) stars if I could. SUMMARY: I fixed my "shot" motor for only $30 lousy bucks!!! I drove it for nearly eight additional years!!! Nearly 100,000 miles later on the same allegedly "shot" engine (with the only change: different oil) I, per my own choosing, finally decided to trade it in (just because) for something new. You be the judge... BTW: Once I stopped going to Elite the frequency of my repairs significantly decreased. What is your verdict? read more

A few weeks ago my car's back windshield got smashed by a city lamp post that fell on it. The tow truck driver said he was bringing it to Elite and I was skeptical at first because for some reason my dad raised me to always bring cars to the actual dealer's shops to have repairs done. I am active duty military and new to the neighborhood. This is by far the best and only place I will take my cars to be worked on. The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable! I have a 2009 Cadillac which is by no means an easy car to work on and they have not once tried to get me to have any work done that wasn't absolutely needed. They will explain and talk with you about the best solution you can come to. The shop is very up front about cost and potential work as well.
