It was days after the state lifted the mask mandate and places were still not allowing a large gathering. Forest Lawn was allowing us max 40 people after my good friend made a call and told me they were allowing my capacity here at Fontana Mortuary, my sister was able to set up an appointment. When I first stepped foot back into the mortuary now ran by new owners and this time for my own child I was so overwhelmed, broken and didn't know what to expect. Andy welcomed us in, sat us all down and introduced us to Lorena. Lorena immediately became my favorite person just by her compassion, by hearing my sons story by being a MOTHER above all else. Finally someone who understands. She ran through everything step by step, she gave us a tour, she answered all of our questions and then helped us prepare our service. Now through the week my son was still out of state due to his autopsy and waiting for permits to fly him home. Anxious for the day he flew into Ontario airport, I had asked her if she would mind my husband and I meeting up to follow them back to the mortuary once he arrives you know for my reassurance that he's here, that he's home. She said "absolutely" and we did...she allowed me to meet her, we followed her back and just got out and hugged her for giving us that peace and went about our way. The day before the service we had an appointment to prepare my son, Lorena, Jessica and Andy were so amazing, so patient and helped us get him looking so sharp. If it wasn't for the little moments like these I don't know how I would've gotten through this. Especially dealing with two completely different funeral homes and so many different people Lorena and Jessica made me feel like my son was THEIR FAMILY. The day of the service was amazing, I received so many compliments on what a beautiful service it was. Lorena drove my son home and we rode in motorcade exactly how I wanted it. This place has been absolutely awful to deal with, and what was already the hardest time of my life was made even more stressful because of them. I unexpectedly lost my partner after more than 30 years of marriage. There was incorrect information put on the death certificate, and trying to get it corrected was a nightmare. The Inland Memorial Upland location is nearly impossible to get a hold of. I called over and over with no answer and rarely heard back. I eventually had to start calling their other locations just to find someone who would help me. My partner's remains were ready to be picked up and nobody called me. I was the one who had to call and find out they were ready. When I asked why no one had notified me, I was told they were busy. Then the death certificate arrived, which was supposed to be the corrected one, and the same thing happened. Nobody called. I called them and was told, "Oh yeah, we have it here." When I asked why I wasn't notified, once again I was told they were busy. To make matters worse, the certificate STILL wasn't correct. I finally went back to the Upland location in person and spoke with Cesia, who I had already spoken with more than once about this. I explained that I was still dealing with the same issue after everything I had already gone through trying to get it corrected. Her response was, "You have to understand people make mistakes. I'm busy." Of course people make mistakes, but "we're busy" seems to be the excuse for everything at this location. I shouldn't have to chase down a funeral home to find out my partner's remains are ready, find out a death certificate has arrived, or get their mistakes corrected. Every interaction I've had with Cesia has been unpleasant. She is rude, dry and dismissive. When you ask questions, she sounds annoyed and like she doesn't want to be bothered. After reading other reviews and seeing other people mention Cesia by name and describe similar experiences, it's clear I'm not the only person who has experienced this type of treatment. I do want to make it clear that my experience was not the same with everyone at Inland Memorial. Kelly, who works at a different location, was amazing. Out of all the locations I called, she seemed to be the only person I could consistently get a hold of. She never gave me an attitude and was genuinely willing to help. Julie, the supervisor, was also great. She contacted me to resolve the issue before I even had the chance to call her, and she personally delivered the corrected death certificate to my home. I truly appreciated both Julie and Kelly because they showed me the communication and compassion that I should have received from the beginning. My problem is specifically with the Inland Memorial Upland location and the way things were handled there. They are impossible to get a hold of, they don't communicate, and I constantly felt like I had to chase them for information. I am already trying to figure out how to move forward after unexpectedly losing the person I was married to for more than 30 years. The last thing I should have had to do was spend this time chasing down a funeral home. If this review saves even one grieving family from going through the additional stress and aggravation I experienced with the Inland Memorial Funeral Care Upland location, then it was worth writing.

To help me prioritize everything that was needed to be able to transfer my father's body to Mexico. They handled all the paperwork from the Mexican constant part to whatever was needed to transport my father's body. Without their help this process, I would say would've been a challenging endeavor plus trying to grief at the same time, this would have been impossible for me to take care of myself. LLuvia had mention this would take two weeks for my father's body to be transferred and she was right two weeks later my father arrived to Mexico without a problem with no issues. From planning with Melissa to updates from Andrew, we were given a very thorough and pleasant experience. We were inexperienced and recently experienced a very tragic loss, but Ingold was clear and transparent in their process and provided a lot of clarity for us. In preparation, we selected and requested a video and memorial folders as well as a candle. This required us to prepare the photos in advance and upload into a site, in which, Ingold did the rest and had it fully prepared for our event. As far as transferring our loved one, we were informed when they arrived. We also provided a picture of what we envisioned for our loved one and it was exactly how we wished. On the day of the viewing, we had Salvador and Sabrina, who went above and beyond for us. They respected all of our decisions and were more than welcoming and generous to our guests. We experienced a slight issue with audio because we had a newer iPad, but we immediately found a workaround for the music. If you have a usb-c Apple device, bring a converter so it can be played through their system. We chose an evening viewing and opted for the private time from 5 PM - 6 PM and the viewing to take place until 9 PM. We also had items we wished to be given to guests and Salvador and Sabrina made sure to provide to guests. For the funeral, we chose 10 AM - 1 PM, we had Ana, Salvador, and Christina, who all were very helpful and generous. They checked in with us regularly and ensured everything was going well while providing us the space and time to mourn our loved one. We chose to have the afterpass in the reception area and it fit our 50+ guests, which provided enough time and space to eat and socialize. Overall, it was a very good experience and we are absolutely thankful. As far as price, we felt it was within accordance of the value and received compliments from our guests about the whole experience being very well organized and planned.

I unfortunately hired them to transfer my dad's body to Mexico in August of 2025. They lied, got my dad's body held back by Mexican authorities because THEY forgot to put that my dad had hip surgery with metal inside his body. We had to change funeral arrangements 3 times due to their negligence and pay thousands of dollars more. They refuse to accept responsibility and keep calling me to state that they did nothing wrong! Horrible company!!! Do not hire them! I am looking into suing them!
