We had a great experience here. I will always think back on my dad's celebration of life with great memories at Ingold. Andrew helped us and made us all feel so welcome and at home from start to finish. We are very grateful for the the great experience we had at Ingold. I work in the Hospice field and would highly recommend Ingold to any family I help go though this difficult process. And the flowers Andrew provided were top notch quality and worth the price. The urn was beautiful and the officiant he got for us was professional, experienced and genuinely caring. We had difficulties along the way with the death causes being rejected but they are on it and communicate every step of the way. Thanks again for everything. We appreciate all of you.

It was days after the state lifted the mask mandate and places were still not allowing a large gathering. Forest Lawn was allowing us max 40 people after my good friend made a call and told me they were allowing my capacity here at Fontana Mortuary, my sister was able to set up an appointment. When I first stepped foot back into the mortuary now ran by new owners and this time for my own child I was so overwhelmed, broken and didn't know what to expect. Andy welcomed us in, sat us all down and introduced us to Lorena. Lorena immediately became my favorite person just by her compassion, by hearing my sons story by being a MOTHER above all else. Finally someone who understands. She ran through everything step by step, she gave us a tour, she answered all of our questions and then helped us prepare our service. Now through the week my son was still out of state due to his autopsy and waiting for permits to fly him home. Anxious for the day he flew into Ontario airport, I had asked her if she would mind my husband and I meeting up to follow them back to the mortuary once he arrives you know for my reassurance that he's here, that he's home. She said "absolutely" and we did...she allowed me to meet her, we followed her back and just got out and hugged her for giving us that peace and went about our way. The day before the service we had an appointment to prepare my son, Lorena, Jessica and Andy were so amazing, so patient and helped us get him looking so sharp. If it wasn't for the little moments like these I don't know how I would've gotten through this. Especially dealing with two completely different funeral homes and so many different people Lorena and Jessica made me feel like my son was THEIR FAMILY. The day of the service was amazing, I received so many compliments on what a beautiful service it was. Lorena drove my son home and we rode in motorcade exactly how I wanted it. Everything was a breeze. I loved my experience here given the circumstance of loosing my baby boy I'm so thankful for the group of people who helped me in my darkest time. Xoxo Familia Contreras

A necessary must; to have your loved one Rest In Peace. I was clueless about the whole process from…read morestart to finish. It was comforting to have a knowledgeable sales person. I learned from them that who ever holds the "Contract" has all the power to call and dictate all the shots even if you make payments towards the care of your deceased relative. They are very cordial, professional and compassionate. The Mortuary doesn't look like much from the outside but it was perfect for the viewing with plenty of seating.

Hello everyone! I'm…read moretruly astonished to discover that these disrespectful people have a 5 STAR REVIEW on here. My aunt passed away, going on 4 weeks ago now. Living in Fontana, there aren't too many options in terms of finding a place to put something like a funeral together quickly and hassle-free. The only place, that was also highly reputable, was Dickey Mortuary. My cousins went and met Family Services representative, Yara Alvarado, to make the arrangements. Although arrangements were made and executed, the process in doing so was so disorganized. Throughout the entire meeting between my cousins and Yara, Yara was answering calls and walking in and out of her office in the middle of discussions. According to them, it felt as if their business could stay or go, it made no difference to her. On the day of the service for my aunt, these people weren't attentive or accommodating. This last bit however was the final straw: Yara sent my cousin a TEXT MESSAGE, not a phone call from her office or anything officious, to let my cousin know that my aunt's death certificate was ready and to come to the mortuary to pick it up. My cousin informed her, Yara, as to when she would be there to pick it up and Yara sent a reply that said she was in accordance with the time. Upon arriving at the mortuary, my cousin is met by the custodian, and it was the custodian who had the certificate for her. WHAT!? Not to say anything against the custodian, but Yara couldn't give my cousin THE LEGAL DOCUMENT finalizing the ordeal of losing my aunt herself!? It seems that Dickey and Co. didn't actually care about most of what we are dealing with, which is funny, because this is their business! Handling people who are experiencing loss with care and professionalism is supposed to be their expertise. Oh, and instead of apologizing and explaining herself, Yara instead said that my cousin was wrong to feel offended because she (my cousin) was the one who misunderstood. Unfortunately, ZERO stars cannot be given.

My mother purchased her burial plot and later began paying for pre-arranged services. However, the details of what was included were never clearly explained. When it came time to complete payment, we encountered significant confusion because the original information provided about the payment plan was inaccurate. Years later, we were contacted and informed that an additional $6,000 was required for the opening and closing of the burial plot--an expense that had not been clearly disclosed at the time of purchase. It appears that additional charges continue to surface over time for services we believed were already covered. Overall, the process has lacked transparency and has created unnecessary financial and emotional stress. This experience reflects poorly on the business practices involved, as it feels as though the focus has been on generating additional charges rather than providing clear and honest service. I need a response I will go ahead and file a complaint if needed and report misleading or deceptive practices to the California Cemetery and Funeral Bureau or the Better Business Bureau or will Consider legal review.
