If you're looking for a mortuary with horrible customer service, poor communication, and zero empathy, this is the place. I would never recommend this mortuary to anyone going through the loss of a loved one. It was nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone. Every time I called, I was told someone would call me back, but I never received a callback. I eventually had to text our funeral director, Annie, myself. Even then, she was extremely unhelpful and acted as if I was lying about trying to contact them. At one point she told me she would call me back in "a second," and it took over an hour. When she finally did call, she acted irritated that I was simply asking for the exact balance owed so I could get a cashier's check since they also charge an outrageous credit card fee. The day of the service was another disappointment. We had around 100 people attend my mother's service, yet they only printed 20 memorial cards. I specifically requested the cards be printed in both English and Spanish, but they were only done in English. Our family went about 40 minutes over the scheduled time, which I understand can happen, but this was the last time we would ever see my mother physically here on earth. Instead of showing compassion, the mortuary and church staff made us feel rushed and unwanted, practically pushing us out the door despite there not being another service afterward. To make matters worse, they charged us for supposedly going over by two full hours, even though my mother's body was taken around 6:40 PM and we were definitely not there until 8 PM. When I asked for proof or clarification, Annie completely dismissed my concerns. They also added a cleaning fee even though we left the space spotless. At the end of the day, this mortuary seems more focused on squeezing money out of grieving families than treating them with compassion and respect. Have you ever felt lack of empathy and compassion? That's exactly what this place gave us, during the hardest time our family received little to no empathy from Cucamonga Mortuary. During the most difficult week for our family, the staff failed to return consecutive phone calls and on top of that charged us an extra fee for over staying 40 min turned to be an extra 2 hr charge, It was clear the staff was completely unsupported by management, leading to chaotic scheduling and forgotten details during our service. During one of the most difficult times for our family, we were treated with very LITTLE COMPASSION or CONSIDERATION . Instead of feeling supported, we felt rushed, inconvenienced, and pressured on time towards the end. What made the situation even worse was being charged ADDITIONAL MONEY simply because things took longer than their "expected" timeframe. I have attended fashion week disasters with more organization and emotional warmth than this mortuary. From the moment we arrived, it was giving discount banquet hall with a side of administrative confusion. The staff acted as though basic coordination was an exotic concept. Every conversation required follow-up, every detail was somehow "miscommunicated," and the energy throughout was less "solemn farewell" and more "DMV during mercury retrograde." For the prices they charge, I expected understated elegance and seamless professionalism. Instead, I got dusty floral arrangements, lighting harsh enough for a police interrogation, and a chapel ambiance that screamed "last renovated during the Bush administration." If you advertise luxury, darling, at least make sure the chairs aren't wobbling. And the lack of compassion? Absolutely chilling. There's a difference between being composed and behaving like you're mildly inconvenienced by grief. A funeral is not just an event to manage -- it's a deeply human moment. Unfortunately, humanity appeared to be off-site that day. Overall, the entire experience felt painfully tacky. Losing a loved one is hard enough without feeling like you're trapped inside the world's saddest customer service failure. This place has terrible customer service. They do not have the prices in writing and they hit you with hidden fees. We understood we had 4 hours of service. We went over by minutes and they sent a message "The service was supposed to end at 6, the church is getting upset. They are going to charge another hour." They didn't charge us for another hour, but 2 extra hours. They charged us a cleaning fee when we left it clean. read more

Hello to the owner of Ladas I see you responded this evening to my review from 5 months ago. I'm not sure how to respond to a response on here, so I'm posting a review that doesn't swing up or down...just in response. I believe your response is not the most timely, however I can appreciate your feedback and the fact that COVID was unique. While the thought of my Husband carrying my Dad in a body bag is one we'd rather not have I can understand how things were difficult. Since two people did arrive and my Dad was not a heavy Man this was not anticipated. A call to prepare us or even apologize afterwards would have eased the problem and pain. Upon response here from you I will remove this review as it's not a true review and then edit my original to inform of the way the situation was followed up on your behalf. I appreciate the fact that you have responded and hope you will see this through, a refund would seem appropriate for just his services/care as we didn't have this problem with my Mother when we used your services. As an update, I'll leave this as a second review. The owner contacted me and said he would refund the transportation fees(not exactly what his first response indicated publicly). I would feel obligated to take down my reviews if I accepted this small refund, so with that not being much I'll leave both up. He also stated most families like to help take the bodies out of the house, this isn't a pallbearer situation so I beg to differ, but perhaps other families enjoy carrying their deceased relative in a body bag...who am I to speak for others. He also shared he couldn't have called me in advance to let me know they might need help. I find this hard to believe. Many homes are two story in So Cal and a 170-180 lb body is pretty average. You should probably relay on the phone that you have two ladies coming who can only lift under 150 on the first floor. His last mention is that reviews aren't a big deal since it's only 7 and he has 7,000 families and lots of thank you cards. In my line of business NPS scores mean a great deal, but with a COVID pandemic assuming this business gets "business" regardless. No further response needed. I was disgusted when my Husband shared it with me 5 months ago and I went without a response for 5 months. If you don't mind helping carry your relative then I see no other problem using Ladas, make sure to send a thank you card if satisfied!! read more

when we first met with Doug, we were very pleased with the way he handled the arrangements, and the prices did not gouge us. However he took all of it a little too casually when it came to the actual planning after my husband died. We felt like a lot of loose ends were left untied on the day of the funeral, we weren't prepared as far as pallbearers go, the mass cards etc. we're not there when we got there, and in general I just felt like we were on the back burner. read more

If I could give this business a 0 star rating I would. My Mother passed very early on a Friday morning 12/30/16, Cucamonga Mortuary picked her up Friday morning around 8 am. She wanted to be cremated and my brother and I filled out all the necessary paperwork over a year beforehand, so when the time came it would be easier. My Mom passed on a Friday before a Holiday weekend. On Tuesday I called and spoke with Doug. He said he could not find any of the paperwork regarding my Mom, was I calling the right mortuary? Huh? They already picked up my Mother!!! Finally that night around 9:15PM Doug called me and they found the paperwork. I picked up my Mother's cremains and was told he did not have the Death Certificates yet. On Wednesday, 1/13 he called, said the certificates were there and did he have the correct address to mail them. We went over the address -- I NEVER GOT THE DEATH CERTIFICATES in the mail... I called and asked him to check around to make sure they were mailed and got a curt response of, "I remember mailing them". On 2/22/17 I drove to the County offices to pick them up, and pay for them a second time. I told Doug I wanted the $105 I paid him for the certificates back, he assured me he would send it....??? We will see, I also said I thought he should reimburse me for the 3 hour drive and time I was spending doing what I paid him to do. He said he did his part and haven't I ever heard of anything being lost in the mail. Please be careful, this is hard time when you lose someone you love, extra stress is not what you need.y Since I posted this I have received the refund of $105 from Cucamonga Mortuary. read more

I chose this location for the cremation of my mom. Found them online and checked their reviews. Justin helped me do everything online without having to step foot in the mortuary. He was friendly and helpful. After the process was complete they informed me as soon as everything was ready. I picked everything up and Doug gave me some really good advice on spreading my mom's ashes. Thanks for making everything so seamless and stress free. read more
