My family enjoyed everything about our Eden Drive-in experience! We got to the drive in before dark, so we picked a nice spot on the smaller screen side. They have most of what people remember about drive-ins. A small playground, and snack bar. The prices went up from previous years. $8.00 per adult. And they used to order pizza, but they no longer do that. So why did we absolutely love it? We brought our 4 year old grandson! It was his first ever experience of sitting in a car watching a movie. Always a great weekend to do. I check their movies weekly and usually come here a few times during the year. The summer is great but I prefer the end of fall when it's chilly and you can snuggle up in your car. Usually we will make a bed in the back of our VW golf (yes, they're versatile) and bring tons of snacks. The staples include, charcuterie, whiskey, and lots of crackers and chips. If you'd rather not pack food their concession stands have lots of options and you can even order pizza to be delivered. Overall for $7 it's great weekend fun. read more

Love it takes you back to the good old days great movie selection very reasonable price

Checked out Eden Drive-Inn, I had never been to a drive-inn movie before and the current pandemic world in which we are living seemed like the perfect time to give it a try. It was soon apparent we were not the only ones with the idea as there was a line to pay to get in. They tell you to come early as limited parking spots (especially with social distancing requirements) and glad we did as it filled up. Take note they charge by person, not by car, at $10 a pop. Still a very reasonable and safe outing option. Allowed parking spots were clearly marked with 6ft between. You can bring own food/drink or there is a place there to buy snacks on site. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the bathrooms were. Movie sound comes from your car radio, this can drain your car battery, but they had staff on golf carts driving around that can give you a jump if needed. We opted to sit in lawn chairs next to our car (which is ok if group social distancing) instead. We had to turn the volume on car radio up pretty loud to still hear. Wish they had some external radios you could rent or something as an outside car option. We went for a double feature of Jurassic Park and Jaws. It was fun to watch these classic movies on such a big screen outdoors. Even though you are all separated in/near your cars, it kind of made you feel like you were with a big group. The movies don't start till sundown for obvious reasons so as you have to arrive early for a spot, be prepared a double feature is a LONG night. The second movie didn't start till after 11pm, so we decided to leave before it began as we knew it would be too late for us to ride it out and then drive home. Many stuck it out though! First time at Eden Drive-In, and we had a good time. $7 for two movies is a good deal, even though I only stayed for one. First movie ended around 11:10, and I had a 1hr & 15min drive home. Cars were lined up waiting to get in. I found a spot about 3 rows from the back, but the guy in front of me had a big suv, with the hatch up. As others have mentioned, this is a definite problem. I walked down to the front, to take a picture of the back of the screen, and I noticed a young guy that had room on both sides of his car, and I asked him if he would move over, and he said he would, so I got to park in the front row, which worked out great. The portable radio I brought worked out great, so I didn't have to worry about my truck radio draining my battery. read more

While it's been several years since we last visited the Eden Drive In, it's still a great place to enjoy a movie with friends. They've added in a few improvements. A new larger restroom building for men & women, a large deck with tables and chairs to enjoy the concessions they sell. And bring cash!! No plastic is accepted!! There is a playground area down at the very front for the young kids. Great opportunity to let them run out their energy while you relax and visit with your friends before the movie begins. Prices at concession are very reasonable especially if you're from a larger city. A large popcorn for less than $5.00!?!? It's slightly larger than a Regal small, and costs less. They offer pizza from Domino's Pizza, plates like chicken fingers or hamburgers and hotdogs and even ice cream scoops. If you've never been to a drivein before, plan to arrive early to find a parking spot. At least an hour before dark. Many folks show up when the gates open. Plan to bring chairs, blankets, bug spray, heck- I even saw many folks with the family dog. They were responsible pet owners and had them leashes and well behaved at all times. Some people play games like cornhole or toss footballs or frisbees (if your aim sucks maybe not these!). You'll tune your car radio to a specific station to hear the movie. Now. You can sit in your car with windows up and air running. But gas is still pricey. If you want to be comfortable? Use those camp chairs I recommended to bring. Or a blanket to spread out and really enjoy the air, stars, and your company. You'll drive on gravel roads once there and park on grassy mounds. A few points to consider to not be "that guy" : Headlights on will annoy your neighbors - especially during the movie. Use park lights or no lights Don't block the views. Sitting in the bed of your truck is great. Standing up, or sitting on the roof? Nope! Don't leave your hatchback open especially in an SUV - blocks half the screen. Maybe try the back row if you really need it open. Clean up your trash- there are many trashcans throughout the lot. Several in each row within easy reach. Please don't trash Mother Nature. Pack a portable radio. Nobody thinks that it's going to be an issue to run the radio. But today's vehicles turn it off at a certain time. Leaving you to either miss important dialogue, run the battery down, or just get frustrated. Also pack your bug spray or even a citronella candle. It's nature. Of course there are going to be bugs. And a blanket. It's great to keep warm when the temps drop at night and snuggle close to your honey. Pros: reasonable prices for entrance and concessions Fresh air, trees, and you can even see the stars in the sky once it's dark Nostalgia Cons: whether intentionally or by accident people can be annoying. went for the first time last weekend, i really enjoyed it and have no complaints other than it was a little difficult to hear the movie when we were sitting outside of our vehicle, there's a few speakers outside throughout the lawn area but since we were in between two, it was just echoing throughout the movie. will still definitely be going back! read more

I like that the lawn (and car rows) are slightly gradiated to create a little bit of "stadium seating". That said, they don't police the vans and SUVs to the ends and back rows even though they have it in writing, so come early to stake out prime viewing angles, especially if you're in a sedan. There's nothing like going to the drive-in on a hot summer evening. And compared to our PA drive-in, Eden has an extraordinarily long season. I'd wished for this place to become a regular spot for me and my husband but unfortunately it did not meet our expectations. I researched the location, and read all of the website rules prior to arriving. Their rules ask for taller vehicles to park in the back rows, but unfortunately this rule is mostly not followed. We took our Honda Element so we could sit on the tailgate and watch. We arrived 15 mins prior and got on the 3-4 row. We could see the screen but the bottom portion was blocked by two SVU, and one large lifted pickup. The people seemed hostile when we approached them so we just let it be. I had tried to re-park our vehicle several times but it didn't seem to help, so eventually I just gave up. The prices aren't high for the movie ticket, and the concessions aren't too bad either. I liked the variety of snacks they had available. If they invested money in creating a tiered parking lot to accommodate the smaller vehicles they'd get a larger turn-out. The lot is all dirt, and each row is blocked off by wood posts. It is an old-school venue, and the look adds to the nostalgia, which I admire. If they had someone out in the lot watching the cars and helping direct traffic, it would help out a good bit. Maybe assigning rows based on vehicle type or something to that affect? A better tracking system, or something. There has to be a better way to do this. read more

Always a great place to come watch a movie. One of the last decent drive ins around NC. Only issue is that the people in trucks and hatchback cars will block the screen with no regards to anyone else around them. We asked someone if they where going to leave the hatch up because they were blocking half the screen. The lady wasn't real happy but she did move her car. I'll be surprised if we don't have flat tires when we leave. read more

This place is awesome! $7 per person and 5 and under are free! Plus you get to watch two movies. It's so affordable. Everything is cash only (to get in and if you decide to buy food/drink there) The bathrooms are pretty clean--just make sure you take a flash light or cell phone if you have to go during the movie. It gets pretty dark towards the back of the parking lot. I really don't have any complaints about this drive in. It's really fun for the kids and/or easy to have date night for the adults! read more

If you want to return to the good ole days, just drive in to the drive in. You can watch 2 and sometimes 3 movies with your family, in-laws, and even ex-spouses. You can't beat it for the price and the food is incredibly greasy and bad for you and oh I just want some more of those cheeseburgers and fries. It really is hard in Eden in the Winter because the drive-in is closed but Spring will be here soon. We can't wait. This is a great place for the entire family. read more

Eden Drive In is a great place for a date night with your kids! Or for the grown ups! They are a cash only business so be sure to go there with cash. The price point for entry is inexpensive and most weekends they have double features, so you are getting two movies when you pay to get in. I paid $6 for myself and $3 for my son. We got there early so we got an excellent parking spot. I would suggest getting there early. Bring some cards or something else to do to with your time while you wait. There is a playground that they kids can play on until the movie starts. The gates open at 7:00 and the movie starts around 9:00. With a double feature you will be there until after 1am. This worked out well for our visit, as there was a children's movie playing first and then a grown up movie after. My son fell asleep while they were changing out the movies so I was able to stay and watch the next movie without concerns of what he was viewing. There is also a snack bar that has the standard popcorn, sodas, and candy (at movie theater prices) and they also have hamburgers, hot dogs, and funnel cake, and other items. There is outside seating to eat or watch the movie. I didn't notice a sign that said "No Outside" food, so bringing your own snacks would be a great idea. The men's bathroom is attached to the snack bar in the rear of the building and the ladies' bathroom is up on a hill at the back of the property. ( It was clean and well stocked.) I would recommend bringing a flashlight, chairs, and a blanket. We tuned our radio in to the station that the movie was broadcast through and the sound was good. If you do not have the option to listen through your car you can rent a radio from them for $6. Otherwise, the sound is not all that great through their speakers on the snack building.
