Checked out Eden Drive-Inn, I had never been to a drive-inn movie before and the current pandemic world in which we are living seemed like the perfect time to give it a try. It was soon apparent we were not the only ones with the idea as there was a line to pay to get in. They tell you to come early as limited parking spots (especially with social distancing requirements) and glad we did as it filled up. Take note they charge by person, not by car, at $10 a pop. Still a very reasonable and safe outing option. Allowed parking spots were clearly marked with 6ft between. You can bring own food/drink or there is a place there to buy snacks on site. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the bathrooms were. Movie sound comes from your car radio, this can drain your car battery, but they had staff on golf carts driving around that can give you a jump if needed. We opted to sit in lawn chairs next to our car (which is ok if group social distancing) instead. We had to turn the volume on car radio up pretty loud to still hear. Wish they had some external radios you could rent or something as an outside car option. We went for a double feature of Jurassic Park and Jaws. It was fun to watch these classic movies on such a big screen outdoors. Even though you are all separated in/near your cars, it kind of made you feel like you were with a big group. The movies don't start till sundown for obvious reasons so as you have to arrive early for a spot, be prepared a double feature is a LONG night. The second movie didn't start till after 11pm, so we decided to leave before it began as we knew it would be too late for us to ride it out and then drive home. Many stuck it out though! I honestly say still worth it even if you only do movie 1!

Early evening close to sunset. Still a few parking places left/ get there early for the best spots

While it's been several years since we last visited the Eden Drive In, it's still a great place to enjoy a movie with friends. They've added in a few improvements. A new larger restroom building for men & women, a large deck with tables and chairs to enjoy the concessions they sell. And bring cash!! No plastic is accepted!! There is a playground area down at the very front for the young kids. Great opportunity to let them run out their energy while you relax and visit with your friends before the movie begins. Prices at concession are very reasonable especially if you're from a larger city. A large popcorn for less than $5.00!?!? It's slightly larger than a Regal small, and costs less. They offer pizza from Domino's Pizza, plates like chicken fingers or hamburgers and hotdogs and even ice cream scoops. If you've never been to a drivein before, plan to arrive early to find a parking spot. At least an hour before dark. Many folks show up when the gates open. Plan to bring chairs, blankets, bug spray, heck- I even saw many folks with the family dog. They were responsible pet owners and had them leashes and well behaved at all times. Some people play games like cornhole or toss footballs or frisbees (if your aim sucks maybe not these!). You'll tune your car radio to a specific station to hear the movie. Now. You can sit in your car with windows up and air running. But gas is still pricey. If you want to be comfortable? Use those camp chairs I recommended to bring. Or a blanket to spread out and really enjoy the air, stars, and your company. You'll drive on gravel roads once there and park on grassy mounds. A few points to consider to not be "that guy" : Headlights on will annoy your neighbors - especially during the movie. Use park lights or no lights Don't block the views. Sitting in the bed of your truck is great. Standing up, or sitting on the roof? Nope! Don't leave your hatchback open especially in an SUV - blocks half the screen. Maybe try the back row if you really need it open. Clean up your trash- there are many trashcans throughout the lot. Several in each row within easy reach. Please don't trash Mother Nature. Pack a portable radio. Nobody thinks that it's going to be an issue to run the radio. But today's vehicles turn it off at a certain time. Leaving you to either miss important dialogue, run the battery down, or just get frustrated. Also pack your bug spray or even a citronella candle. It's nature. Of course there are going to be bugs. And a blanket. It's great to keep warm when the temps drop at night and snuggle close to your honey. Pros: reasonable prices for entrance and concessions Fresh air, trees, and you can even see the stars in the sky once it's dark Nostalgia Cons: whether intentionally or by accident people can be annoying. Let's just try and hope for the best and lead by example in those cases Sound issues if your car radio isn't good Bugs- mosquitoes! Late night if you stay for both shows

Suggest a barrier under the small, second screen or stop letting cars in when movie starts. Cars continued to come in and their lights were shining in the eyes of people at the small screen. The below pics do not well depict the level of annoyance the lights caused.

We got to the drive in before dark, so we picked a nice spot on the smaller screen side.

I have recently gotten back into going to the movies and this one was a good experience for me. One of the greatest things I like about this theater is there was not an excessive amount of previews. The previews have seemingly gotten out of hand!!! (30-45 mins of previews, is NUTS) You have the option to reserve seats which I love. The chairs are super comfy, they recline---woohoo! I find this to be a stupendous addition, which happens to be the VERY nice sized trays for your snacks. I noticed that some complained about the sound and the cold temperatures. I was in theater 2 which is a smaller viewing room, which I really enjoyed. The sound? Normal theater sound to me. I don't recall my Apple Watch picking up excessive sound. Cold? I always make sure I wear a sweater or a hoodie to the theater so no complaint there. I did however notice when I was leaving that people actually brought blankets in with them. The only complaint I have is the popcorn. The small is HUGE for one person. It was about $9 and it was super meh. I guess the hot butter is not an option? I didn't ask, I guess I didn't need it anyway. It was also lacking salt. There is an option to purchase the popcorn seasoning by Kernel Seasons though. All in all, I am ecstatic that this theater is open (ok, I know, I'm late, but whatever...lol). I will be a frequent guest.

A $5 movie program they have here where each week they spotlight a movie for limited run with one or two showings, a chance to see a hit movie before it leaves theater. I got lucky ! Great not to have to spend a fortune as you can at the movies. They also give you a coupon when you buy your ticket for a popcorn and drink combo at discount price. Everything is done by self check out for tickets, with a person there to tell you where your theater is. They have a lot of concessions here too. Bathrooms clean, and the theater was pretty empty for my show. They have all the newest movies here and imax available. Lots of parking, and easy to navigate. This was a nice break in my rainy day, I'll be sure to see what's on their Final Cut showings in future.

You can buy your tickets ahead of time online or use the Kiosk inside the main lobby. Concessions is in the main lobby and they have a few registers going at once so there is no long lines usually. You have your normal movie theater choices, nothing out of the ordinary. They do have a few specialty alcoholic drinks available, as well as a frozen Jack & Coke. Everything is a bit pricey. The theater itself was clean and you have assigned seats so no rush. Seats are reclinable and very comfortable. Lightning in the back row was dim and my wife almost ended up landing on her ass trying to find her seat in the dark. Movie quality and sound were great! Definitely will be back but probably eat ahead of time or sneak in some snacks......yes that's a Latino move but it's ok because I'm Latino! Go catch a movie, you won't be disappointed!

My issue first tis that the staff really seems like they dont want to be there. They are rude and they do not have any communication skills. They had 2 lines when we got there and didnt communicate if one was tickets and 1 was concessions. It looked like 2 likes were open so when the customer in front of me got their items and left I moved up. I stood at the counter for 5 minutes with workers all over and no one coming over to me or asking me to move to the other like all the while the other line is moving and a ton of people behind me got their items before me. After the 5 mins I said something to a worker and they were very rude to me and said there was only 1 line open. I decided not to buy any concessions. The prices are the other issue. You used to get an unlimited refill popcorn bucket for $9 which already is a lot considering it cost them like 10 cents for that amount of popcorn but they aren't profiting enough already so they got rid of the bucket for a bag and now you get 1 refill. It was an annoying and bad experience.
