I usually don't make negative comments about a company but this one here needs to be done. I parked my car on the street instead of their rear parking lot and went to get a few plumbing pipes, first off a white older lady walked up to the door before me and the gentleman opened the door and greeted her as I approched the door he walked away. I payed it no mine thinking he maybe helping the new customer who walked in but she went to the key counter and was helped by the other gentleman and he went sat down. I made it to the back of the store when an employee ask if i needed help and i gave him the measures of the pipes I needed. Suddenly out of nowhere the first gentleman comes to the back with an attitude and says I needed to move my vehicle because it was blocking the entrance for his customers to get in and out. I was puzzled because for 1 I thought I was a customer and 2 I was parked on the street no where near the entrance/ exit of the parking lot. The employee heard what happened and walked with me to the front. I reported it the gentleman who was helping the older lady with keys and he tells me that he was doing his job. I felt discriminated and left when I made it outside I found out from the employee that the man I was speaking to was the owner and that it was his son I was reporting. He also stated that I am not the only person of my race he has done that too, so I ask anyone with a similar story to share it because we should not be treated poorly by others when we help their businesses by buying from them. read more
