Ahhhh! I absolutely love coming to this location out of all the locations in the greater New Orleans area simply for the fact is there is less chaos than when the ones in the mall and they actually keep way better stock. Such a great experience here tonight! I came with one thing in mind to buy and that was to check out the 75% sale and left with more than I expected, which turns out great cause I'll give some additional extra Christmas gifts out. The staff is always very warm and friendly and always willing to assit. I can say I've never had a bad experience here. Ok, it's Bed Bath and Beyond...nothing to get too excited about, right? Well, this is my go to BBB and I have to tell you the reason for this review is because of one sales associate. His name is Jared and he helped me find a gift on my gf's registry quickly, use gift cards to pay for it, and helped me use my expired coupons to get the best deal! Dude, this guy rocked! I agree with my Yelp friend's other reviews though that this store is packed from top to bottom. WIth my huge purse I tread carefully when I walk around the store for fear of knocking stuff down. But hey, they accept expired coupons and have cool gadget things. This may sound strange but I really love their spray hand sanitizer. For some reason I haven't been able to find it lately but I haven't needed to refresh my supply so haven't been looking very closely. I have scoped some things here that I want for my new condo like a leather storage ottoman etc. This is where I got my Real Simple flocked hangers to streamline my closet (yes I'm OCD, I totally own it and want my hangers to all match dammit!). I'm also eyeing a tall lamp for my bedroom and some silver crosses (hey I'm catholic and like that stuff). Perhaps even a huge mirror I can lean against a wall. The epitome of gadget central. Seems like every "made for TV" product has come to live here. I mean the name IS Bed Bath & BEYOND; & the Beyond is truly Beyond all that you could ask or think. Soooo yeah... I recommend this place because yeah while you can go to Wally World or Targét (en français Target) but the selections here for household bath & bed items are quite vast. Not to mention the upstairs portion that adds more to this hodgepodge of a store. As stated, this store has lots of "beyond" items & as a result, it seems cluttered & congested; many items to choose from; but no matter just take your time, lots of good finds & bargains are in store for you. Example: you go in for a throw rug & you exit with a curling iron, shampoo, a "made for TV" frozen cup/shake maker for the kids, that little Genie bra you've been wanting to try & of course the throw rug. It's as if Bed, Bath and Beyond was going for the smallest retail space ever to cram the inventory of a store 5 times the size of this location. I may only be slightly exaggerating. If you have ever seen an as-seen-on-TV ad, it is more than likely you can find that unique gadget on the shelves here. If they don't have it here, it is probably not made any more, or has probably never been made in the first place. They do have carts to use, but you will probably not be able to use these carts without knocking things over, or bumping into everyone. They have allowed me to use an expired coupon here in the past. I am short. It is difficult to find someone to get things off the high shelves here, and the one time I used a stool to help myself, I get in trouble, so this leads me to believe that there is staff there that is supposed to assist, they are just hiding around some blind corner. I'm just saying that it is suspicious, that is all. But they are convienant. So, I will continue to come, and I will continue to complain, and I will continue to wonder where the elusive staff member is to help customers is....... read more

Went to Bed Bath and Beyond in Covington, LA this morning. Before I even got to the door, the young man, Mead, met me and handed off a shopping cart. I asked where the Kitchen aid appliances were located. He asked if I would like for him to show me. What a smile. His persona was friendly, professional, courteous, and thorough. I called my brother to ask if he could tell me which of the appliances was the one he wanted. Mead tried to help me to get the camera on my phone to work. It would not budge. So as my brother went in search of Messenger, Mead told me everything in the store was 25% off. When my brother called back, he identified what he wanted. During the conversation he asked if the attachments were included. Special emphasis on whisk and dough attachments. They were. Went to the front to check out. Mead escorted me and read the box with the appliance and read "attachments available. He went back to the aisle and got another boxed item. He made sure he was selling me the item I thought I was buying. The attachments were included. I want to thank Bed Bath and Beyond for having such a conscientious, professional employee. As I was leaving I told him I had a doctor's appointment and I hoped no one would steal it while I saw my doctor. Mead told me I could leave my purchase and come back for it. Kudos to Mead for following through, even after the sale was made. Kudos to BBaB for hiring such young men. (And NO, I am not related to Mead.) THANKS AGAIN for the help. read more

Called this store to make sure I'd be able to return a gift given without the gift receipt and was told yes. Sent my grandmother to do the return since I work long hours and they told her no. I called again and was told their policy changed due to management on August 31st yet their online policy still says that in store returns without receipts are accepted for 20% less than what it rings in for. Never ever shopping here again and also telling relatives to never get me anything from here because I'd legit never be able to exchange or return anything because everyone loses receipts or just doesn't remember to get a gift receipt- not like they actually offer this out right to customers during check out. So I absolutely love this place! They have anything and everything you could need for your home, hence the name. I've recently made a few purchases here and have fallen in love with this place. So much so, that I've told my boyfriend just to get me a gift card to here for Christmas this year! I had to come buy an ironing board here and I ended up leaving with half the store. The value of the products they carry here is bar none top notch, and the prices are affordable. I even came back to get my personal things like toothpaste and hairspray and what not because their prices are so good, and their deals are unbeatable! What's even better is they have coupons all the time, so I joined their list to get coupons every month. You can combine them and use them whenever. The staff is all ultra friendly and will go out of their way to assist you or make sure that you have what you need. It's a good thing Bed Bath & Beyond is constantly sending me coupons and even better they happily take expired coupons. Things can quickly get expensive in this store. I do love the large variety of items they sell for the home. One very helpful part of the store is all of the kitchen gadgets and appliances they sell. Since we don't have a kitchen store in our area I find a lot of what I need here. It really makes it worth it when you can find exactly what you're looking for and with the coupons some of the more expensive items become affordable. Do not go into this store if you have claustrophobia because dang, this place is packed to the roof with stuff. And what is the cloying potpourri smell? I swear it adds to the trapped feeling. So, yeah, I'm not too much of a fan. BUT stores like this are a necessary evil. Do your registry online or go somewhere else. Went in to do a wedding registry and had the most uncomfortable experience. The associate helping turned it into a pity party for herself. After she began tearing up because of how poor she was, how could one not feel extremely guilty registering for items we wanted. I left broken hearted and feeling selfish after hearing how unfortunate someone else is. When closing out the 2 page registry, the other associates asked if I found everything we wanted and said this was the time to ask for upgrades. Not after that experience. read more

Have you ever witnessed a spatula avalanche? Would you like to? This is the kind of place where such a disaster can happen. I have personally witnessed two such events, and I caused neither. (But I'm glad you suspected me of such mischief.) With kitchen, home, and misc goods stacked floor-to-ceiling, the possibility of goods raining down is pretty high. I am scared of what will happen when the knives decide to tumble, you know? Everything is packed just cheek-to-jowl in this store, and it's bugnuts. There is hardly space for my fat ass to even turn around. No, I mean really. I have to hold my breath in the china section to even walk through it. Add in the fact that this store is always packed with shoppers, and you get the idea. The second floor is pretty nifty, and I love the cart elevator. That alone earns a second star for a nearly unredeemable location of a chain I don't love. Oh! And there is a self-wrap station that's pretty great for folks who just purchased gifts. This Bed, Bath and & Beyond is a hit or miss for me, since I find myself drawn by the big bulls-eye just down the way for a better range of items I need. That being said, I get about a thousand 20% coupons in my mail so I go in and use them every now and then as well as check things off people's wedding registry here since Pottery Barn scares me a little and it's in the mall. What I like about Bed Bath & Beyond is that I can get a three pack of the face wash pads there for pretty cheap, and they sometimes have fun "As See On TV" things here, i.e. Booty Pop (butt enhancement padding) and the Shake Weight, one of which I bought my mother for Mother's Day one year, try and guess which one. They have a great variety of hair and skin products, better than most drug store, so I like to peruse. My gripes is that there always seems to be a line at check out though I feel like there are a good bit of people that work here. This last time I got lucky with customer service check out, but that was this one time, so always be on the lookout if there is someone over there. If you want to avoid the red bulls-eye and you've got a giant 20% coupon, I'd suggest hitting up the BB&B, but that's only if you have time. read more

Came by here yesterday as I was looking for a shower caddy and Walmart and Target didn't have anything with the right dimensions. On the plus side, this is a pretty standard Bed, Bath, and Beyond store with a large selection somewhat jam-packed into a two-story location in a shopping mall. I found the caddy I was looking for and got tempted by a few other items as well (though only ended up buying the caddy). The downside was the wait at the checkout line -- two registers open with at least 6-7 shoppers in each line. I thought I was going to be there for 30 minutes given the speed of the cashiers, though thankfully the staff opened up another register and I was done in about 15 minutes. read more

Since this seems to be the new "it" place for registries, I find myself going here much more than I would like. I always make sure to either take pictures of my phone if the registry number and the items I want on my phone or print out what I'm looking for. Their website is much better than the store. If you'd like to order something online, it would be much easier on you. When I go in and ask a sales associate a simple question such as "where is this" they NEVER know. They aren't friendly and hardly ever smile. Customer service here always gets an F. The only reasons they have any stars is because they are usually tidy and organized. This store carries a few items that cannot be found anywhere else and they also have great deals. I love their coupons. read more

Seems like I'm in BB&Y more often than I expect. It is seldom a planned destination but the store is quite popular with brides for their registries. Walking through the store, it is easy to see how a young bride armed with the electronic scanner can get carried away, zapping all those neat gizmos and necessities for a new household. I think there is some overall scheme to how the store is organized, but it's very easy to have to wander throughout the entire store to find everything you are looking for. Maybe that is the logic. Oh Bed Bath and Beyond...you are a homeowners BFF. I, as well as every other bride in existence, registered here for our wedding. The women that assisted us were very helpful and knowledgable of the products. We had a blast going through and checking out all of their fun gadgets; they really do have so much! It's also super simple for wedding guests to sort through all of your registry. Remember that informercial you saw at 3 am? They have that, and just about every other "made for TV" product. Of course, who is going to to talk about BBB without talking about the COUPONS. You got one in 2001? Guess what, it still works. Shocking right? Never step foot in here without 45 20% coupons. Ask your grandma, I'm sure she is hoarding them somewhere. Prices aren't too terrible if you have your coupons. I priced around and BBB was almost always cheaper than Macy's and other homeware places. The downside: parking. Being in clearview mall, there is always a fight for parking. Also, I do not like how it is two levels. Not that big of a deal, but I really don't want to have to worry about my rug from the second level crushing a woman and all of her Snuggies. read more

My girl and I were about to take a trip to Atlanta and went to pick up a couple of things for travel. OH MY GOD. SO MANY THINGS I DIDN'T KNOW I NEEDED! This is a great store for home needs. It has everything for your kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room that you could need other than large furniture. This is a two-story store! It even has a cartscalator!!! In addition to the usual bed bath stuff, this store stocks a large selection of beauty products that includes a huge variety of sunblock--probably the best in the city. A couple of weeks ago I returned an item I'd purchased at this store. I had both the original and gift receipts, and the woman at the return desk asked if I wanted cash back or a credit to my debit card. I said cash, but then she said she didn't have enough cash. So I said credit my debit card then, and produced the card. Now here's where she p-----d me off. Because next she asked me for my driver's license. As if I were stupid enough to steal the merchandise, both receipts, the debit card, and then have the refund credited to the original owner. read more

I was trying to prepare for hurricane season. Buying things that can run without electricity. I made the MISTAKE of clicking on the Bed Bath and beyond website. I found a fan called O2cool. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK. AN OVERPRICED PIECE OF JUNK. When I called the store, first of all the manager disputed what I said I paid for this fan until he looked it up. That was my first insult. Then, he went on a campaign letting me know that I was NOT going to get my money back. Finall, we settled on him ordering me another fan. A week or so later I received ANOTHER O2cool piece of JUNK. I called them AGAIN. They sent what I needed to return the fan to them. Now they have the fan AND MY 65.51. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. I DON'T WANT ANYTHING ELSE THAT BED BATH AND BEYOND HAS TO OFFER. It's hurricane season and they won't return my money so that I can buy a fan elsewhere that just might work. I DON'T trust O2COOL and I DO NOT trust Bed Bath and beyond. My experience with BED BATH AND BEYOND HAS been a nightmare. I just hope I get my money back before I get hit with another hurricane. read more

I love that they send you coupons, and honor them even after they're expired, or if you forgot your coupons, you can bring it back with receipt to get a price difference. I've done this a year after my purchase before... and because the product price dropped, i got the new price too! the people there are always helpful, huge selection. great for my home needs. read more

I then asked for an "Elf on the Shelf" & the same employee said they were all out. I looked for an employee to help for 10 minutes with the mop, nothing. This BBB is SO crowded - not only with people, but with stuff. There's stuff everywhere. And I'm super annoyed by the DIY gift-wrapping station. If you're like me (and don't like spending time wrapping just one wedding present for all to see at a shower), do yourself a favor and go to the one in Mandeville. They gift-wrap for you, the store is much nicer, bigger, and less crowded. read more
