I'm on the prowl for a pretty specific tile for my bathroom floor. Since this is the local big box store for flooring (that isn't general home improvement store) AND it's open on weekends/after office hours, this was one of my first stops. The layout is actually pretty easy to use. And the tiles are well marked as floor or wall or whatever. There are a LOT to choose from but I knew pretty much what I was looking for. I wandered through snapped some pics to consider later and was in/out pretty quick. They do have good sales on short stock in various locations around the store. I went in at 7:45 PM, checking Google Maps beforehand which said they closed at 9 PM. I was browsing, and when I went to leave, the store was completely empty. No staff, no customers, nothing. I was locked in! there was absolutely no announcement about closing. It's completely unacceptable to be locked inside a store without warning. This was a terrible and upsetting experience. read more

I stopped by the Gretna store this afternoon to pick up items to replace a bathroom floor. Unfortunately, what I wanted was out of stock. Ms. Janice and Ms. Tiffany assisted me to find a comparable item and even did some math calculations to make sure it will work for me! Another staff member (I didn't get his name) helped too. I've been in this locations a few times before and each visit I was greeted at the door, employees would ask me if need assistance while I'm browsing the aisles, and some will follow up to see if I had the help I needed. Visited the Phx Arizona store today and the customer service was horrible except for one lady Chris who was helpful. All other employees on the floor were walking around looking bored and none of them could answer my qs in a timely manner. They showed no interest and customer service basics like how to greet a customer. I would have bought all of my countertops today had there been great service. If I'm going to spend 40k on my kitchen, I'm not going to waste my time with guys who cannot answer simple qs. What a waste of time. Go elsewhere! There are other options. read more

Just visited Floor & Decor. Before we went, I did a pretty through research on the type of floors we would be replacing the carpet, with vinyl plank, bamboo, linoleum, or laminate. 1st stop was Home Depot - mainly due to having a credit card there - It wasn't a waste of time due to being able to see the actual product vs over the web, but the help was practically non-existent (one guy did finally come over to assist). The main line they offered "Life Proof" wouldn't be up to what we needed (High traffic, kids and animals). And its a hard push to this line. Next stop was Floor & Decor On the West Bank - Ten times the selections, but most importantly Andre "Doc" broke down how the whole selection of choosing floors work- depending on what you need. Before he assisted we had twenty samples - (no Lie) after his help we narrowed our selections down to THREE!!! ( HUGE). There's legit almost never anyone around that wants to help customers. Really just left wandering around. When you do find someone that isn't doing anything they either have an attitude or claim they don't know anything about whatever flooring or tile you're looking at and quickly walk to the back through the door. I'm guessing that's the break room. Had an experience where the Caucasian guy was helping a Caucasian woman at the flooring computer. He didn't acknowledge me or anything. The lady was on the phone and he never once asked what I needed. I just wanted the price on something.When she got off the phone , he flirted with her throughout the transaction. & still did not acknowledge me! I can say that one time I've come,there was a comical guy(joshua) Jtelling people to watch out for machinery and the young black guy at the flooring counter was super helpful/ informative and patient. I rarely see the same workers here and I've been renovating this project for a while. The guy today (Zach) was super helpful as well. Took his time to go through and try to eyeball pieces for us. He found everything that we needed. Put it in the system and all. Ida has a strong voice that some might find rude but she was nice and wrote down everything he had for us to come back and purchase. Zach, Ida, Josh and the other guy(name can't remember ) deserve five stars but this is for the store. Everybody else needs to do better. read more

After spending thousands of dollars for 2bathroom renovations, they refused to accept return of the excess tiles. I realize that the return was longer than the 90 day allowable. Because of Hurricane Ida and my contractor being backed up- both situations out of my control, I was only asking for a store credit. I was treated rudely at the store and told to call a third party to find out the reason my return was denied. When I called them, the person on the other end was not any better. he told me to submit my request in writing, which I did. I received notice that the decision was being upheld. So in this world where everything is delayed---steer clear of this company because the y have no sympathy. read more

At approximately 11:15a.m. on October 8, 2020, I, with my girlfriend, arrived at Floor & Decor at the location of 4 Westside Shopping Center, Gretna, LA 70053. We walked through the front entrance and at that time, I was asked to wear a mask. I politely responded that I have asthma. We proceeded through the store uninterrupted until a Floor Attendant revealed, through his actions, that he does not know the guidelines surrounding the 'mask mandate' and repeatedly instructed me to wear a mask. Both I and my friend did our best to educate this individual (who failed to identify himself through the use of a nametag) about the current guidelines of Covid19 clearly stated on the Governor of Louisiana's website yet he appeared more focused on stalking both of us out of the building. He acted rudely and actually accused me of giving him a hard time. I'm quite surprised that Floor & Décor would not better train their staff and associates on a fluid situation such as Covid19. Although the information about Covid19 changes often as medical professionals learn more about the virus, I also find it surprising that Floor & Décor managers or Team Leaders would fail to explain the newest information through brief meetings at the beginning of each shift. If the staff and associates do not have correct information about this issue, I do not feel confident in their ability to give me the correct information about the products offered at Floor & Décor. Overall, I had a very disappointing experience at Floor & Décor. Local contractors, which remain close friends of ours, have expressed their positive interactions with Floor & Décor; therefore, I made this the first place to visit for our flooring needs, not just in the new house we purchased the week prior to this incident yet also for our current home which will become a rental property. I share this information to make Floor & Décor aware of the quality of service provided to their customers. UPDATE: I'd like to make an important and notable edit to my OG post. Mr. Ed West of the local F&D reached out to me and has done everything in his power to help this situation. When I saw that F&D has excellent customer service, this is what I mean. I was so frustrated that I kept running into dead ends and that no one was wiling to help me that I posted this to make other people aware of a potential problem they'd have down the line. That being said, Mr. Ed has been kind and patient, and, truthfully, just a Godsend during this. I wish I had been able to talk to him during my many phone calls/emails, but I don't blame him for that. He saw this post and the problems I encountered, and he's taken the steps to make sure that loyal F&D customers don't run into this problem again. He has stayed in touch with me and kept me updated on his attempts to contact and reach out to the proper channels. This is what makes F&D so great to work with - they really do treat their customers and clients like family. Financing is ultimately out of their control, and specifically with this company, whom they cut ties with months ago. Thank you, Mr. Ed. Each employee is so kind and helpful, and they make you feel like family. That being said, you should NEVER finance through them. The cashier, who was so friendly, accidentally punched in the wrong promotional code for our purchase. The only reason we decided to finance through F&D and not pay ourselves was because they had such a great deal going on - the more $$ you financed, the longer you went interest free. Everything was done through a kiosk and you didn't actually speak to a person regarding your approval/limit. It's not a year later, and my husband and I have been slapped with a year's worth of back interest, even though we financed enough to get over 3 years interest-free. Every time we tried to contact F&D about this we were told 1) it's been a year, so oh well and 2) it's out of their hands and up to the finance company. When we call the finance company, they tell us "we can't do anything about it; the terms are determined by the merchant." Literally no one is willing to help us navigate this, and it's the most absurd thing. An employee made an error and punched in the wrong promotional code at the time of purchase, and because of that, we're the ones who have to pay. I asked if they could simply lengthen our time to pay it off/give us no interest and we were told "no" by everyone. Floor & Decor has 0 accountability and actually doesn't care. This place has great prices and a couple of friendly staff if you can find them to help. If you buy anything be prepared to wait. The pickup depart is absolutely horrible. We purchased a fairly large amount of tile. We waited for over an hour and a half just for them to get it together. Then they didn't have the entire stock so we had to come back and pick up a few boxes and again, over and hour wait. The lady just look at us and then took my ID typed on the computer and handled it back to me. Never said anything else to me. Just walked for 15 minutes or so. He made it super easy. Charlotte then was able to just pull up our order to make pay and set up storage so it could be picked up in a few days. She was awesome as well. Frustrating customer service and false promises! Ordered an excess of $1000 in tile last week. Was promised that It would be in this week no later than Thursday. After making several phone calls and being disconnected each time, I finally spoke to a person who advised that the order was in and ready for pick up! When I drove 40 minutes to get there and pick up the tile, the main part of the order was not available. After talking to manager, she was dismissive and basically told me I was wrong and should have provided a sku number! I'll be actively discouraging all of my neighbors, contractors, city council people and business owners from shopping at Floor & Decor. #itsnotthecustomersfault Update: I still have no tile, but I'd like to clarify that Luke was excellent. ***UPDATE*** They have now missed the delivery schedule. The customer service manager sent me email telling me delivery was for today between 10am and 1pm . Of course they did not show up. When I contacted the corporate office to inform them of the continued problems they said the delivery driver was running late. I contacted the delivery company supervisor who stated they only give a delivery date not a time of day. When I read him the email sent to me from the customer service manager he said "SHE LIED, the drivers do not leave the loading dock until 10am". Now they are refusing to refund the full amount. They want me to pay the delivery and return shipping charges! I will be getting my attorney involved. This is not a reputable company! Do business with them at YOUR OWN RISK AND PERIL! read more

Initially we encountered an employee, Sheila, who was the worst definition of Customer Service. I was tempted to leave the basket full of products. Then Andre' (Doc) asked us if we needed assistance. The perfect sales clerk. He helped us pick out everything we needed. We then encountered Eddie who walked us directly to the items we needed. Lastly Ida was our outstanding and friendly cashier. We are under a full home remodel and Floor and Decor's design service was recommended to us. I made an appointment with the designer at the Magazine location who was AMAZING. She placed my order and informed me I'd have to pick it up at the warehouse location on the Westbank. Okay fine. Well, that's when things fell apart. I was informed my order was in, drove to the Westbank and waited for over 2 hours in a dark back alley behind the store at the shipping dock for my order. All employees were un bothered by the amount of customers waiting to pick up their orders. Multiple times we went up to the front of the loading dock to inform them people were waiting for order pick ups and were told "they would be right there". I was the third one in a long line and spent close to 2.5 hours total there. By the time I got my order the store was close to closing, it was dark, and the employee tossed the items in my car without any ability to inspect them or to even make sure they were mine. Fast forward to me getting home and the next day unloading my car. Multiple items were damaged (marble thresholds cracked in half), boxes of tile with multiple tiles cracked, and bags of grout with rips in them. I live in Metairie so I drove back the next day with the damaged items to swap them out as we needed to get moving on my project when I was instructed by the "manager" that I must have damaged them because they do not sell damaged items and they do not accept returns on damaged items... what?! I was mortified being accused of damaging items then trying to return them. The manager at this point was yelling at me and told me if I wanted new items I'd have to re purchase. I tried to explain I was there the night before and my car was loaded in the dark- I had no way to examine the items before I took them home, plus they were closing and basically shut the bay doors. I had the items in my possession for one night and returned them the next day. Again he yells WE DO NOT SELL DAMAGED ITEMS. Okay great. So, basically I was stuck with a couple hundred bucks of damaged items and forced to rebuy them. I really think F&D needs to rethink how they treat customers. I 100% get it if I had these items 6 months and tried to return them. I get that, but I had them literally overnight from closing to opening and there is no way that much stuff was "damaged" on the ride back to my house inside of a 4Runner- they weren't on a trailer. I was just shocked and surprised that they speak to customers like this and apparently it's normal for that location as I have spoken to many of one time customers of F&D. It's an absolute shame too because the design studio is amazing. It was sad to part ways with my designer due to the lack of customer service on the warehouse part. So just an FYI, we chose not to use Floor and Decor for the remainder of our renovations. There are by far better companies out there and the one we have been working with moving forward has been exceptional. read more

Came here for my first time ever and every single person (atleast 7 people) smiled, asked me if I needed help, offered to help with my ideas, looked for items with me, guided me and actually seemed very happy about their job. Just moved into a new place in the Quarter. Bathroom needs a facelift. While store on magazine street is more like a showroom, this one in gretna is a tile superstore. Before the shutdown I was able to see what I wanted, and even with the shutdown I was able to pick up my order and online order additional supplies. Methinks not, indeed. We spent one night this week on a tour of home improvement stores picking up supplies for our project, and the differences between our customer service experience here as compared to the Central City Home Depot (5+ stars = three reps cheerfully assisting us with the obnoxious task of pulling down multiple overhead pallets while the store closing countdown came across the loudspeaker) were thrown into sharp relief. While you browse the expansive stock at the Gretna Floor & Decor, don't bother calling for help... NO ONE WILL ANSWER. (Or if they do, as others have said, they won't know anything anyway.) Oh, and if you think you might save a wasted trip by calling ahead to check stock, they'll transfer your call three times (and make you listen to the hold message full of taunting false promises of excellent, flexible customer service) and then disconnect you. read more

Service is everything. The people inside were great from the minute we got there. On the other hand, the loading / back docking service could have been better. A simple "it'll take about 20 mins or an hour" would be nice. We waited for almost 2 hours to get our items. Could have did many things in 2 hours, then come back for it. Courtesy is key. When you go to the doctors office? Or pharmacy? Or restaurant? Do you get an estimation time? Please do due diligence and make some improvements on your part. Have a good one. read more
