We really like Eddie Bauer products, but the service we received today at the Aspen Grove store in Littleton was apathetic, lazy, and mostly rude. We walked into the store around midday today, and despite the fact that there were three workers all behind the counter socializing and having their own fun connecting, no one bothered to greet us or ask if we needed help. About 20 minutes into our experience whereby I was specifically looking for an insulated rain coat I was hoping to walk away with that day, I asked these workers if the one I was looking for was something they carried in their store. One of the workers proceeded to help me, but they did nothing more that look in the exact same places I had looked and then they suggested that I go to Colorado Mills Eddie Bauer Outlet Store to shop (which is a good trek away from the Aspen Grove location). At no time did they call any other stores for me hoping to locate the jacket I was searching for with the offer of having the jacket mailed to my home. They returned to the front where they continued to socialize while I looked some more through the discounted rack. When I returned to the front of the store ready to buy a sweater, they told me the best they could do was to suggest I look online which I did when I returned home (I accidentally left my phone at home). That's when I discovered that the EXACT jacket I was looking for (same size and color) was at the Aspen Grove store. These workers and particularly the one helping me felt put out that I needed help, they were not friendly, and they were mostly dismissive and rude. I love Eddie Bauer clothing, to me its second to none. Strong, durable, long lasting, comfortable without sacrificing style, but the customer service at this location is far from acceptable. There was an employee at the front door folding clothing and stocking shelves. When I walked in there was no greeting, no inquiry of assistance, nothing. I walked to the back of the store and circle around to this same employee and tried to make eye contact and still nothing. Its no wonder why online ordering is so popular when you go into a store and treated as if you were invisible. read more

I like this store! We are outdoor enthusiasts and appreciate finding clothing for the ever changing Colorado weather. Reasonably priced and great quality! We wandered in when there was a sale going and found great deals. We found the staff to be helpful and attentive. Another plus was the cleanliness of the store, dressing rooms included... I really dislike dressing rooms that you don't want to touch anything because they are so gross! Especially floors...the rooms here were clean. Laziest store manager ever. No employees on the floor, and one open cash register. Had my size on a mannequin after specifically driving through the snow to get them as they show they are in stock. Manager wouldn't take them off and just started ignoring me mid conversation and then the rest of the employees followed suit. Impressively bad. read more

I wanted to start by saying that I am new customer to Eddie Bauer and had just an outstanding experience at their Park Meadows store. The Eddie Bauer Sante Fe store was the complete opposite experience. I was looking for some rain pants and had the unfortunate event of working with an associated named Joseph. I asked Joseph where I could find some rain pants and he told me they don't have rain pants. I said I saw them online and he said that was nice but they don't have any in the store. I asked if he could show me where they sell pants so I could take a look and see if I could find something close. He complained at me for asking him to do his job and then said see these pants suck, these ones are too tight, these ones are garbage so you be SOL. Needless to say, I left the store and called customer service to complain. The store manager called and sent an email apologizing for the experience but did nothing to correct the behavior of the associate and asked me how to make the situation better. Sorry but I am not the manager of the store. You should know how to resolve issues where customers and associates have issues with one another. Either way, I totally dislike this store and have been telling all my friends and family how terrible it is and that the store manager didn't even resolve the issue. PLEASE BOYCOTT THIS LOCATION UNTIL CAPABLE MANAGEMENT AND ASSOCIATES ARE DEPLOYED AT THIS LOCATION TO RESOLVE CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES. read more

Terrible manager named Jessica-DO NOT SHOP here!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went in after driving 1/2 hour to return a coat I bought online. I brought the wrong receipt and she refused to call the Customer Service line to help me figure out the order number. When I asked her to call them and help. She told me to go home and use their customer service chat line to figure it out. When I told her that might be her job, she told me I was rude and to leave or she would call the police!!!!! read more

Sketchy, AWFUL Customer Service. Ordered AND PAID FOR an item. Received an email: "We're sorry, your item is not in stock. You will not be charged for this item." 1: Was ALREADY CHARGED for this item. 2: Item is most definitely STILL IN STOCK ON THEIR WEBSITE! They just deactivated their weekend coupon code, so the item THAT I PAID FOR but they are claiming is "OUT OF STOCK" is oddly now TWICE AS MUCH! FRAUD! Their "Customer Service" phone number is a joke, too. The one representative helping all of the calls today (Apparently there were many people stolen from by Eddie Bauer today!) keep you waiting for TWENTY MINUTES before answering, and then PLACE YOU ON HOLD AGAIN. I love Eddie Bauer, and I come to this location a lot, especially since the Cherry Creek location closed down. This store is dog-friendly, which my dog and I love, and they have a large selection of items, including shoes. My one issue is that a particular employee likes to argue with the customers. I should just speak for myself, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had this experience with her. Each time I have gone in while she was working and I had a question or request, I was somehow "wrong," and when I try to explain my question better to this particular person, she gets very defensive. It's not fun to be argued with when you're trying to find the item you need and make a purchase. I'd talk to a manager, but I think she is the manager. All of the other people working there are SO incredibly nice and helpful, and I generally have a good experience there. read more

Came with my fiance to exchange a wrong size (brand new with tags) jacket that I purchased on line and that I gave him for Christmas with a gift receipt. Even exchange. We were just treated so rudely by the cashier for not having the priced receipt. She asked me twice, so you don't have it? I told her that I had the credit card it was purchased on and a gift receipt. Then she tried to tell me we owed her money for the tax difference. I bought it (shipped) for 8% Englewood tax and am swapping it at 5% Aspen Grove tax. She then bit my head off when I tried to explain this. Go to the Eddie Bauer in Cherry Creek. They are much more pleasant. This cashier also did not give us a new receipt, just swapped it as an even exchange (which it was), so I did not get her name. Older lady with short brown hair. Eddie Bauer, and in particular the Aspen Grove store, is my favorite shop for men's casual and outdoor clothing. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is great. They always seem to have a sale on some items and often a storewide sale. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly, and will provide just the right amount of service - attentive but not overbearing. I am not one of those outdoor types who climb mountains and fly fish (I used to be one) and buys gobs of outdoor equipment. I am just a 78 year old guy who occasionally needs another pair of pants or a shirt. Doesn't matter; their good service has always been the same during the years that I have shopped there. read more

The ladies that work here are really helpful, and they always make sure I get the best deals available. I visited twice in the last week and bought lots of clearance stuff (yay!), and then brought in some out-of-town friends. Then they gave me a $5 off coupon just for bringing in my friends! Really nice. I love the clothing style and can always find something pretty and comfortable here. All my sweaters are from here: they are really durable and the feminine styling looks great with lots of outfits. My only wish is that they had smaller sizes. They just introduced a 0 in pants, but the extra small shirts are still a little too big on me-- and I'm a size 6 everywhere else! read more

Don't shop here if you prefer good customer service or have children. My experience with the staff as several of the other reviewers. First, not once was I asked if I needed assistance. The manager of the store (woman with short, dark brown hair) merely mumbled a hello as she walked past. The general feeling was that I, as a customer, was an unwelcome intruder. Second, three workers, including the manager, were extremely rude to my kids. I get that sometimes kids can run hog-wild in stores, and my kids definitely have in the past, but not in the two separate occasions we were in this shop. My daughter had touched on of the sunglasses by the register on open display and was quickly reprimanded by a worker. I asked my daughter to apologize, she did, and the worker simply ignored her, with no acknowledgement of any kind. In sum, my experiences were lackluster and frustrating. read more

We bought a $250 Expedition 34 luggage bag two weeks ago and used it on a short, direct flight over Christmas. From two flights (there and back) the bag got two holes in it, at the exact same location on each side of the bag. The material there obviously needs some better reinforcement, especially for a bag that costs so much! So, we took the receipt and bag back to Eddie Bauer at Aspen Grove. The clerk at the store was astonishingly rude. She informed us that this was the airlines fault and that we should've addressed the issue sooner (??? - we literally just got home). She seemed very put off by the fact we wanted a refund. My husband pointed out that his cheap Target suitcase, which has travelled all over the world for ten years (including on this trip), has no holes in it. So, we do not think this is an airline issue - we want a suitcase that will hold up better. The clerk then told us in a rude tone that she would give us a refund. Another customer walked up to the register, and she told us that she needed to help that person first (why would you help another customer when you are in the middle of helping us?!?). So, another clerk comes up and starts on the same path - it's the airlines fault, the suitcase is great quality, etc., and she was going on for an extended period of time. My husband asked her to please issue the refund so we can go - we don't want to hear any longer about how the suitcase is made or the fact that it's everyone else fault except Eddie Bauer's. We just want to return it and leave! I had never (not ever) experienced such horrible customer service from a store, especially one with pricey products that they are supposed to stand by. We purchased a super expensive bag, travelled with it once, it now looks like it's five years old, and Eddie Bauer did not issue a refund. They said they could only give us store credit, which does us no good since we will no longer give Eddie Bauer our business. And, from reading the other reviews of this store, it looks like we aren't the only people who have had problems with these terribly RUDE employees. If you are going to shop Eddie Bauer, at least go to a different location where the employees don't treat you like crap! read more

I was trying to track down a specific color and size of shorts that were sold out online and seemingly everywhere else. I called this EB and Barb spent a good 15 minutes looking for the shorts and her location, and used her computer to search others in the area. She ultimately found them for me, and I could not be more grateful! I really appreciated Barb's amazing customer service and overall kind, friendly demeanor. read more

Super helpful!! I exchanged an online purchase my mom made, no receipt, but I had her email confirmation/order number. Quick process. And the sales attendant helped me find find the perfect jacket, despite my vague "I want it fluffier" request. Only downside was since I didn't have her card, I couldn't put the difference back on the card, so I have a $5 store credit card. read more
