We use Ed Staub & Sons for our business and personal residence. I can't tell you how amazing the service has been, especially after dealing with Amerigas. These guys were heros for me. My 250 gallon tank had been overfilled by my previous propane company and Ed Staub came and moved the overfilled tank and syphoned off the propane and gave me a brand new tank, checked all lines for leaks and left me safe and sound again. I can't say enough good things about this company. We had to have an inspection & Stacey Francis was very thorough, checking appliances for proper setup and functionality. He offered helpful advice and recommendations. Even removed a piece of exhaust vent pipe that was damaged by snow and ice, then fixing it to prevent any future issues. Buyer beware, READ their contract! They have two clauses that are significant, if THEY hit anything on your property, YOU are liable. Secondly, if there are any leaks/spills/etc because of them, YOU are liable! They have competitors who do NOT have any contact at all. It is worth doing your homework folks. This is the worse contract I have ever read from a buyers standpoint, great for them though! read more

I was going to be a new client with Ed Staub, I received my application and filled it out and sent it back in. I was in sort of an emergency situation where I needed propane immediately, I explained this and the girl was super helpful and got me on the schedule for a safety check. We were scheduled for 8/3/2017 at 2pm, I live in Portland so it is a 3 hour drive for me to get to my vacation home. I called the day before to verify our appointment before I drove 3 hours for nothing. And it's a good thing that I did because I was suddenly not on the schedule. They had my application and all my information, but I was somehow no longer on the schedule. I asked what happened and they said they didn't know and they were booked so sorry we'll get you booked on the 24th. I am completely out of propane at this point and can not wait that long. I specified that I had been speaking to Ronnda Daniels and was told that no one worked there by that name. But yet I have her email address ending in @edstaub.com. The woman I was speaking to was incredibly unhelpful and rude, kept saying "I don't know what to tell you, we're completely booked" or "Yeah, you're just not on the schedule". I am so irritated with attempting to get propane, AmeriGas screwed me over and now Ed Staub seems to be just as bad. I will not be doing any business with Ed Staub at all, I understand that mistakes happen but to be so rude, and lying about the name of people who work there to cover their own butts? Had a slight gas leak, called Ed Staub and they (Janes) came right out and fixed the problem although the leak wasn't their fault. And to top it off they didn't charge us! This is a great company! read more

Ed Staub is a reliable propane company with good-as-it-gets customer service. Their prices are fair and they are available 24/7/365 days a year for any emergencies or problems that may arise. Their staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. AND, they have a largest storage tanks in Central Oregon, so they never run out of gas even during the coldest of winters! read more

While their propane prices may be good, the customer service is severely lacking. Everytime they get a new delivery driver it seems like they lose my account and I have to call to remind them to deliver. This last one, Jeff, called me back because I complained that I hadn't gotten a delivery since February (5 mths ago) and he basically played the victim, that I was attacking him, and stated it wasn't worth his while to deliver until my tank was less than 40%. And then tried to school me on propane usage. Dude, you're a delivery guy, not a propane nazi! To be honest, if I wasn't selling my house I would cancel their service. Not good like it used to be. UPDATE: Got a return phone call from the regional manager who discussed the incident in great length with me and agreed the delivery person was out of line. He promised to call the local manager and let him know what happened and to discuss proper behavior with the driver. He called me back a few days later stating he had done what he said and that the situation had been dealt with. I appreciate the follow-up and may change my rating depending on what happens the next time I request delivery. read more
