PLEASE STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOURSELF FROM THIS NIGHTMARE…read more This business took a $4,607.71 deposit from me 90 days ago for a 28 to 42 day lead time item. It does not matter how many times I call, I have not once received a return phone call since providing my payment. The phone mostly rings to no answer. The couple times I have reached someone I was told the manufacturer is having substantial delays and they cannot get any update from them - I received feedback from the manufacturer within 24 hours saying my experience with this dealer is not normal and I also cross checked with two competitors (oh how I wish I had done that back in November) and have gotten 2 week lead times quoted for the same stove from both of these other businesses. Upon learning this information I requested a refund but you can imagine how that is going. I even picketed the store front for an hour and forty five minutes today and still cannot get a return phone call or any movement on my refund - THEY JUST DO NOT CARE!!!

Unfortunately, with the 6 week install estimate and other delays, I'm past where I can get results via my credit card provider. Stay away from this company. Apparently, there is a new owner and the service of 30 years ago that was excellent is gone and out the window. You will notice that all the good reviews for this place are greater than two years ago. The new owner, Kevin, seems to have acquired the business about 2 years or so ago and that's just about when all of us started having negative experiences. If others are interested in filing in small claims court and reaching out to the local news stations with me, as well as doing some picketing of this place, please reach out to my email at annirbas@yahoo.com. We have got to stop this person from taking advantage of us. Matt R, please reach out to me if you see this. UPDATE 2025-03-11: After several in person visits to the Dreifuss showroom and being VERY CLEAR on what I expected (a full refund), I was finally given a full refund on March 7. Kevin kept indicating he was not sure when he could process the refund but that he would "as soon as he was able." That still was not good for me, so I kept pressing everytime I spoke to him or saw him. I must admit, I thought it would take much longer than it did to be provided with a refund. I would suggest that others also reach out and file claims with the Attorney General's at https://www.attorneygeneral.gov/submit-a-complaint/ so that it can be on record and this place can maybe be monitored to make sure it performs within the guidelines of the law and other consumer protection benefits that we, the consumers, are entitled to.

He listened to what our needs were and proposed the best options for our specific scenario. He worked with us to get the necessary permits and even worked directly with the township when they had questions about the project. We wanted to have a fresh air intake for the stove but our ventable area to the outside of our house was not large enough to fit the necessary ductwork. Mike worked to create a solution that would give us this option within the existing ash cleanout in our chimney. During the process, Mike was readily available to answer any questions we had and after installation, mike was still just as available. Many contractors just disappear from availability after the job is complete. Not Ambler. Once we started burning wood, Mike was just as available to help guide us in getting the most efficient burns from the stove, how to keep the glass clean, and even where to get wood and how to tell if it is properly seasoned. Overall we were exceptionally pleased with Ambler Fireplace and would highly recommend them to anyone considering fireplace work.

I had brown smoke coming out of my prefabricated chimney due to squirrel's nest. Michael came out…read moreand realized that there was squirrels still in there so he wanted to wait a couple of weeks for them to leave the nest. When he came back he didn't hear them so he proceeded to clean out the nest which went 6 feet down. While doing this he showed me the condition of the liner with cracks, rust and sulfuric acid buildups. I knew we had not replaced it so it must have been the original liner when the house was built in the 50's. There was even some parts of the pipes where it was disjointed. Thank goodness that he pointed it out and showed me pictures of it. We decided to get the whole liner and pipes replaced from the gas furnace and water heater. He also resealed flashing which was all dried up and cracked. He put on a new rain cap and top plate so no more chances of squirrels coming back to nest. He came back for the 4th time to finish painting the exterior of the chimney which looks brand new. I contacted Titan Chimney because of all the 5 star reviews and now I understand why. Michael is very knowledgeable about chimneys. I learned a lot from him. He does great work and will photograph everything and share it with you. He is very nice. When he was coming down from the roof he noticed our gutter was clogged so he cleaned it out. He texts me to let me know when he is in the area and on his way. His price is fair. So glad that I discovered Titan Chimney!
