I hired him to install a vanity shelf, hang a picture, and complete other minor repairs. During…read moreinstallation, several additional holes were drilled in the wall by mistake. When I asked about repairing them, I was told I would need to pay extra labor. About one month later, the picture fell and caused wall damage. I contacted him, but he declined to fix it unless I paid an additional fee. He also cautioned me about leaving a negative review. Based on my experience, I would not hire him again and would not recommend his services.

I had a water damage on my house due to a burst heater pipe inside the wall during winter of this…read moreyear which affected the wall from the first floor up to the 2nd floor into the ceiling, I called MDR Home Improvement and Michael was the one that responded to my phone call and was available to assess the situation immediately compared to the other companies that i called that didn't even called me back or I have to wait days or more than a week for an assessment. When he came to the house, he was able to personally check the situation right away that afternoon and has given us his input, in which he was really very helpful to our situation. Since the damage affected the second floor as well as the first floor, We also decided to do the renovations for the 2nd floor bathroom/living room as well as the entire kitchen on the first floor including 1st floor main living room space. The process from getting rid of the damaged areas, demolition and to the renovation were consistent, efficient and done with quality work in mind. His staff/workers were very respectful, friendly and really knowledgeable on their craft. Special mention to Steve, the project manager! And to Matt and Jason , plus the painter and the tiler that are so meticulous with their work! And the good thing to point out is that Michael will work with your budget, your design ideas and input and will also give you suggestions/pros/cons that will help you decide on design plan, materials and products to be used on your project. The ability to have that kind of communication between you and the contractor is important to make the project a success. It was definitely a big project on the house but it's all worth it. The house looks much spacious, clean and modern. I would definitely 100 percent recommend this company.
