The masa was not firm or cooked through. It was wet, gummy, sticky, and had a paste like consistency that appeared to be raw masa. I brought it up to the cook, and he reassured me that it was cooked because he had checked it with a thermometer. I understand that a thermometer can be used to check the internal temperature, but regardless of the temperature reading, the masa itself was clearly not properly cooked based on its texture and consistency. The only option offered was to make me another tamale, but by that point I had completely lost my appetite and honestly felt too grossed out to try another one. There was also an issue with our bill. We were initially charged for three drinks that we did not order. When I went over the math, I realized we had been overcharged. The cashier explained that all drinks were charged the same and that it was her first day and this was how she had been trained to charge them. However, the menu clearly listed the different drinks and their individual prices. The cook eventually came from the back, acknowledged that we had been charged incorrectly, and reimbursed us for the difference, which I appreciated. Overall, the birria ramen was good, and I did appreciate that the billing issue was eventually corrected. However, between being overcharged and receiving a tamale with masa that was wet, gummy, sticky, and paste like, the experience was disappointing.

Ordered their main offering the Cubano sandwich and fries as an after thought. Waited about 10 mins along with one other customer. Chatted a bit with Nico one of the guys working the truck. It's only their second venture on this spot and still working on their menu which apparently will be expanding pretty soon. The owner, Raudel was the one in charge of the kitchen prepping food. I was so excited getting some hot food tried the fries as soon as I got in the car. Was so disappointed! Cold cold fries! Waited till I got home for the Cubano sandwich. The sandwich did not disappoint. Huge and very tasty! And hot! The cheese pull was awesome! This would have gone down as an epic review if only the fries partnered well. I ordered tacos and chose Miso Mushroom, Ban Chan Potato, and Huli Huli Chicken. All three tacos are very good! Miso Mushroom Taco ($5) has sake miso roasted mushrooms with Asian slaw and crispy shallots. Ban Chan Potato Taco ($5) has fried potatoes with garlic soy aioli, kimchee, and crispy shallots.
