Our Dewey loves going to 'camp' at Pets Companion - be it for day camp or an extended stay. I can…read moretell by how he greets the staff that he is happy to be there and has no fear or trepidation about going with them. And when he comes home from day camp he's had a fun day & is tuckered out. I've been able to tour the facilities & they do a good job keeping things clean and caring for the animals. They have regular kennels and suites - we usually splurge for the suites since that includes medications & extra play time. By the time we would pay for a regular kennel and add on the extras this is the better price for us. And the theme rooms are really cute. They also do grooming. I appreciate that they will bathe him &/or trim nails. I get nervous trimming his nails, then he gets nervous & it isn't good. For a few extra dollars it is worth having it done when he is at camp. Everyone is happier that way. I would never take my dog anywhere else. I trust them completely with his care.

sensitive dog aka difficult dog, Cashew, and I had the most wonderful experience with Ella at…read morePittsboro Pups! Ella actually commented on my post on Nextdoor pleading for recommendations for a groomer who will allow the owner to be at the appt. I was so impressed that she took the time to proactively reach out to me. I had seen Pittsboro Pups highly recommended on Nextdoor. After being rejected immediately by another groomer who had previously left a salon to go out on her own, I figured Ella wouldn't entertain difficult dogs or owners in her new salon( which I wouldn't blame her in a new business). But I was wrong! She is truly an angel! I was honest and explained cashew May bite but I hold him. She said she was willing to try it! She has a calm, sweet energy and is very gentle with dogs. She did an excellent grooming of cashew regardless of the limitations she had because I had to hold him. She's extremely attentive to what your requests are for grooming and what you want for your dog. The best thing about her salon is currently, she is taking one dog family at a time! You can drop your dog off and when she's done come pick him up. Instead of leaving him waiting in a cage all day. Her salon is clean, safe and very professional. Great easy drop off/pick up location with close parking. Her space is next to Willie's cinnamon rolls. Her rates are extremely affordable. She should charge more in my opinion. If you don't love your groomer now, book with Ella at Pittsboro Pups. She's what pittsboro needed for professional dog grooming and I'm so lucky to have found her!

This was a great surprise, so we took all of our pets to the vet, and he confirmed that our pets didn't have any fleas. The problem is that she made a REALLY big deal about the fleas and said that her employees wouldn't sit for us because of the fleas. She lectured us about hard it was to get rid of fleas and that we had to bomb and do follow-up treatment. She was really weird. She first said that one of her employees found 3 fleas on him during the interview. After that, when she came back, she said she was picking fleas off of the other employee and that he told her that he wouldn't pet sit for us. She was awful and oh so strange and the message was that we were lucky to have her team as pet sitters, as though we were the lucky ones to have her, not that we were valued as a customer. Keep in mind that I worked many years as a pet sitter and never would have treated a potential customer the way this very strange team treated us. There are so many pet sitters that are great. Keep looking, please. Thank goodness, our pets don't have fleas, confirmed by our vet. That said, how annoying because she didn't like my partner she made up ugly stories, I guess assuming that we wouldn't check. Very, very weird people, and we're very glad we didn't allow them in our home with our pets when we weren't home.
