They'll send you to collections for upwards of $260 knowing you are having financial hardships paying for unexpected funerals. After the cancelation request I was bombarded with dozens of phone calls, text messages and emails so they could make sure I knew i owed them money. They tried to upsell me for 30 minutes. Definitely a SCAM! They said we would be free of bugs. Since switching over I kill multiple spiders everyday inside my home. Earwigs came out like crazy. They sold us on their wasp deterrent and it never got rid of the wasps. Overpriced and not worth it at all. My hometown guy charged $40 for 3 months and we never saw spiders or bugs. read more

"Depends, are you trying to sell me something?" He responded, "well we're just going to be in the area taking care of let's." "So you're trying to sell me something..." Encountered a door to door sales guy with an echoshield logo ... who ignored the sign that said "No Soliciting" and the one in the middle of the door that said "Do Not Knock" ... so when I asked him why he ignored both of my signs, he ended up saying, with attitude, that he was dyslexic. Now ... what exactly is the purpose of continuing this conversation for him. Does he really think I'm going to buy? He is just being provocative and passive aggressive now. I told him that I didn't believe him and that I would like to talk to a supervisor. He said that he was in business for himself, no supervisor. I said I didn't believe that either. If you are dyslexic and have no organization behind you, I said, why would I do any business with you? He was outraged but stayed on the door step. I had to literally say "Please go away now" and then he asked me for a bottle of water. Well. That kind of provocation made me take a picture of his logo and work very very hard to communicate that the staffing and sales solution for this company (if it's actually a company) is created some hardened opposition. How many of my kind, lonely, elderly neighbors are being pressured and scammed by this guy and this company?!? This company took advantage of my 80 year old, senile father with dementia. They were hired to spray my house without my knowledge or permission. When I got home from work I noticed somebody had destroyed and sprayed 4 birds nests on my property, killing at least a dozen baby birds. They have poor judgment, a lack of common sense and a complete disregard for life. read more

Sorry to say that this company is a bit of a scam. It costs WAY too much for what you get. You have to sign a contract with them and are billed quarterly with a promise that if the bugs returned that they wold come and take care of them for no extra charge. We paid and paid and paid and when the bugs returned the next summer I was told that we would have to renew our contract with them for another thousand (by the time you pay and pay and pay quarterly forever!) and then when the bugs return you get a big "oh well" you have to renew your contract. Really? what about your promise to fix the problem that never got fixed. I called another exterminator that my neighbor recommended and he came for 100.00 flat fee - no contract - Danny's exterminator is the guy to call. It probably isn't good manners to put his phone number on here and trust me I am no friend or relative of his. Just a consumer that doesn't like getting jacked around by companies who sit around and figure how to make the most money with the least amount of customer service (probably after fasting and praying on how to do it). There are no words to caution people enough against using this company. I have spent hundreds of dollars over the last year for a service that has been completely ineffective in controlling the ants around the outside of my home what so ever. After multiple return visits to try to "touch up" use different products, etc. the ground is still crawling with ants, in the same trouble spots. I am out hundreds of dollars and they say that since I "signed a contract" there's no way to recoup any of that money and basically they just don't care and that's the end of that. BTW the "contract" you sign is actually a "service agreement," that includes a 100% guarantee, but even when nothing works they won't let you out early, nor will they admit it didn't work and try to make the damage even remotely better by giving some money back. To make matters worse I didn't go looking for them they came looking for me with a door to door salesman who pressured me into signing the contract for the year making me believe that they could help me. The rep was on site before I signed the contract and saw the problem that I was dealing with. I do not think it is acceptable for a business to keep money from people when what you're selling them is simply ineffective. I wasn't even asking for all of the money back I said I would take half or any amount just as recognition that it didn't work and it was a waste of my money. If I purchase a product from the store and it doesn't work I can return the product and get my money back why is it not the same with this kind of service? read more

Nicholaus from EcoShield was great today. Very personable & polite. He introduced himself, and told me his plan of action before beginning the service. I wasn't scheduled for an inside spray, but he did it for me. He gave me a review of what he did before he left, and told me to call if I had any questions or concerns. This is the third treatment I've had done. I have noticed a decrease in spider & outdoor mouse activity which is the whole reason we use them. But the professionalism every technician has shown while at my home is an added bonus that I love. read more

I have a no soliciting sign right on my door. The guy came by several times today and finally knocked telling me that not only does he do pest control but just wanted to chit chat. I have the sign because I don't want to be bothered by salesman. I will be reporting to Kaysville City and the Better Business Bureau. Shady business practices deserve my full attention. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! They are not explicit about what you are signing, which will be a multi-year contract that costs $150 to exit. They don't even do the full service you expect you're paying for (only outside which takes 15 min and no inside) which is an obscene $150. When they complete their service they ask for a signature which basically allows them to transact more money when they tell you they just need your signature stating the job was completed. Typical situation. We contacted the company because we have a pocket gopher problem. They came out and promised the world and a deal for it too, but got charged the regular rate and then we're told that rodents were not included in that service. Called to cancel services and apparently we're under contract with them and there's a $150 cancellation fee. It may state it in the papers you sign but it wasn't expressed out loud which would be the ethical thing to do when you're signing a contract. High-pressure salesman. Promised I would only have to pay for 3 applications and if I was not happy that I could cancel. They sign you up for a one-year contract that they will not cancel and if you do you will pay a cancelation fee. Ended up paying a total of 580.00 dollars for 5 applications. My biggest problem was ants which were known from the beginning and it has not gotten any better. I timed the last technician and he was at my house for less than 15 minutes and only went around the house taking down cobwebs and spraying the house. Never went around where the ant problems existed. I even ended up spraying and applying ant and insect granules myself. After I canceled I received a text several weeks later saying that they were planning to come out a sixth time. I called them up and told them that I had canceled and they said that I had made some verbal agreement to continue which was not true. It seems they have some good reviews but I didn't like my results, especially 580.00 dollars later. I would not recommend them. read more

I am really impressed with the techs that come out and do the job. The office staff and sales staff are not up to par. The salesman did not disclose that when I signed up that it was for a 2 year contract. I will never sign a 2 year contract for any service provided in case I am not satisfied. The office staff does not relay messages about extra services like I was promised. I called in twice to have my treatment redone in between treatments and for some reason I never got my extra treatments done. I guess that there business is that once we service you that is all you get till the next service. When I called to cancel the person I talked to in the office did not listen to me and figured that he sent a tech out on my next service appointment that all would be good.
